Gallup: American Public Becoming Extremely Dissatisfied
Posted by Dave Blount at February 8, 2011 9:09 AM
They say Comrade Obama got caught with his pants down on Egypt; he should have seen that the country was ready to blow. You could say the same about another country I know…
Nearly 7 out of 10 Americans say they are dissatisfied with the size and power of the federal government and with nation's moral and ethical climate, says the Gallup Poll.
Fortunately, despite the disastrous consequences in 2008, we are still able to believe in our electoral system, so revolution here needn't feature violence in the streets.
However, our rogue government is so far out of control, people are losing faith. In January 2002, 76% were satisfied with our system of government and how well it works. That has dropped like a rock to an alarming 42%.
In addition to grotesquely inflating the size and power of the federal government, liberals have used their control of the media to poison our culture. People don't like it:
The greatest public dissatisfaction … is with the moral and ethical climate of the country. Today, 69 percent of Americans say they are dissatisfied with that climate, while 30 percent say they are satisfied.
There has been a ten-point shift on this question over the past three years. In January 2008, the last time Gallup asked the question, 59 percent of Americans said they were dissatisfied with the moral and ethical climate of the country, while 39 percent said they were satisfied.
The folks who brought us Hope & Change aren't winning hearts and minds.
Speaking of Hopey Change, here's what Obama's policy of "spreading the wealth around" is doing to our belief in the usefulness of trying:
In the most recent poll, 55 percent said they were satisfied with the opportunity for a person to get ahead by working hard, while 44 percent said they were dissatisfied. Three years ago, in January 2008, when George W. Bush was still president, 68 percent said they were satisfied with the opportunity for a person to get ahead by working hard, while 31 percent said they were dissatisfied.
A 13-point drop in just a few years makes it clear that the Moonbat Messiah really is fundamentally transforming America, just like he promised — and Americans want it transformed back.
The vast chasm between the decent, pro-liberty American people and the degenerate socialists who rule us creates an inherently unstable situation that can't be sustained. The revolt that began with the Tea Parties and the 2010 elections is only just beginning.
