The DREAM Act: A Nightmare

Posted by Dave Blount at 8:44 PM

There is no more dangerous villain than the one who is almost killed, but not quite. Having narrowly escaped the wrath of voters in part thanks to fraud, the execrable Harry Reid is now taking his revenge on America by using the lame duck Congress to ram amnesty through the back door in the form of the DREAM Act:

This will help guarantee that unemployment stays in the stratosphere by flooding the job market with cheap labor.

Meanwhile, companies aren't hiring because they still don't know what their tax vulnerability will be in January, since Dems are too busy pushing their pernicious left-wing agenda in obvious opposition to the will of the public to prevent the Bush tax cuts from expiring.

Ever get the feeling that the dog and pony shows on C-SPAN have all been choreographed in advance, behind closed doors with lobbyists and scary ultra-left outfits like the Apollo Alliance? A Dem Senator helps confirm these suspicions:

A hot mic left on during a Senate vote Tuesday morning on the Food Safety Act caught a senator complaining that [the] process of setting the agenda during the lame-duck session is "rigged."
"It's all rigged. The whole conversation is rigged," said Colorado Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet. "The fact that we don't get to a discussion before the break about what we're going to do in the lame duck. It's just rigged."
The remark was picked up live on C-SPAN 2, although microphones are usually turned down during voting times. An aide quickly realized the mistake, jumped up and had the sound cut off.

Austrian Fined for Offending Muslims by Yodeling

Posted by Dave Blount at 11:54 AM

You know authoritarian dhimmitude has gotten out of hand when Austrians aren't even allowed to yodel lest it "offend" Muslim colonists.

An Austrian has been fined for yodelling while mowing his lawn, according to a report.
The Kronen Zeitung newspaper claims Helmut G. was told by a court in Graz, Styria, that his yodelling offended his next-door Muslim neighbours.

Herr G. says he was not making fun of the Muslim call to prayer, but yodeling because that's what Austrians do when they're in a good mood. The judge fixed his good mood by fining him €800, apparently agreeing with the Muslims that absolutely everything is all about them.

But Muslims don't so be quiet.

Smithsonian's Christmastime Shrine to Depravity

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:40 AM

Let's see what our tax dollar is buying at the Smithsonian Institution's Christmastime exhibit:

The federally funded National Portrait Gallery, one of the museums of the Smithsonian Institution, is currently showing an exhibition that features images of an ant-covered Jesus, male genitals, naked brothers kissing, men in chains, Ellen DeGeneres grabbing her breasts, and a painting the Smithsonian itself describes in the show's catalog as "homoerotic."
The exhibit, "Hide/Seek: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture," opened on Oct. 30 [Devil's Night, appropriately] and will run throughout the Christmas Season, closing on Feb. 13.

Hide/Seek is the most expensive exhibit in the history of the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery. It includes not only pictures but videos:

"The Pink Narcissus" is a video released in 1971 by James Bidgood (b. 1933). The National Portrait Gallery's description for the video says, "The film is a surreal portrait of the youth's emergence into gay life, his coming out symbolized by the metaphor of a caterpillar's metamorphosis into a butterfly."

This one not only praises homosexual depravity, but blames Christianity for the horrific diseases it spreads:

"A Fire in My Belly" was created by David Wojnarowicz (1954-1992). … The description speaks of the video artist's "poetic, yet furious, condemnation of the way greed, religion, and selfishness conspire to label certain people as outside the scope of our caring." It also quotes Wojnarowicz, who died of AIDS, as saying, "When I was told I'd contracted the virus, it didn't take long for me to realize that I'd contracted a diseased society as well."

Our society has contracted a disease, all right.

The four-minute version of the video shown in the exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery shows, among other images, ants crawling over the image of Jesus on a crucifix, two halves of a loaf of bread being sewn together, the bloody mouth of a man being sewn shut, a hand dropping coins, a man undressing, a man's genitals, a bowl of blood, and mummified humans.
A differently edited four-minute version of Wojnarowicz's "A Fire in My Belly" video posted on YouTube shows images of ants crawling over the image of Jesus (as does the version exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery), but also shows a man masturbating (an image which is not included in the edited version exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery, which only shows a man's genitals.).

At least tourists and taxpayers are spared the masturbation scene. Some background on the artist our rulers see fit to use our money to promote:

The Smithsonian-published catalog also notes (p. 54) that "Wojnarowicz earned a reputation for public, and for many, an utterly cathartic, portrait of rage." It then quotes a passage from Wojnarowicz's 1991 book, Close to the Knives: A Memoir of Disintegration, in which the artist writes of daydreaming about shooting darts dipped in HIV-positive blood into the necks of politicians and expresses his enmity for "walking swastikas that wear religious garments."

A Christian lifestyle would have spared Wojnarowicz from his wretched and shameful death. But it wouldn't have gotten him into the Smithsonian.

Paintings are featured too, including one by Jerome Caja, described here by the Smithsonian catalogue:

"Broadly modeled on Goya's dystopian Saturn Devouring His Children, Caja's painting depicts his friend and muse Charles Sexton engaged in an act of self-cannibalism. Literally painted on Sexton's ashes after his death from AIDS, Charles Devouring Himself, like Caja's Bozo F---s Death, an image of a heavyset clown engaged in anal intercourse with a grinning skeleton, hit that sweet spot, so often historically associated with drag queens, between pathos and aggression."

In case homosexuality, blasphemy, necrophilia, and the desecration of human remains aren't enough to titillate liberals, incest is added to the mix in a photograph of brothers exchanging a "passionate kiss." For added zest, the infamous Robert Mapplethorpe contributes his trademark sadomasochism in a photograph entitled "Brian Ridley and Lyle Heeter":

"In this playful inversion of the classic family photograph, leather-clad Brian Ridley sits in an ornate wingback chair, chained and shackled to his dominant, horsewhip-wielding partner, Lyle Heeter," says the National Portrait Gallery's description of this Mapplethorpe photo.
"Far from submissive, Ridley's wide-legged stance, upright posture, and direct address to the camera indicate that he willingly acts out his chosen sadomasochistic role," says the description. "The machismo of the couple's leather gear is undercut by the flamboyance of their living room--replete with an Oriental rug, pewter vases, sculpted lamp and clock, and grasscloth wall covering. That this homosexual S&M ritual takes place in the context of the couple's 'normal' life (which also includes antique collecting) powerfully challenges what it means to be a 'normal' or 'domestic' couple."

In the end, the Culture War is all about politics, as the Smithsonian makes clear in its description of
"O'Hara Nude With Boots" by Larry Rivers:

"O'Hara mirrors the seductive pose of the modern pinup and a classical goddess, bridging myth and art history," says the description. "While referencing grand-manner painting in the grandeur of the pose, by showing O'Hara posed outdoors, Rivers alludes to O'Hara's poetical and personal celebration of cruising for sex in the city. The double meanings shown in Rivers's painting echo O'Hara's enjoyment of masks and masquerade. This overtly homoerotic work was an act of personal courage in the cultural climate of the 1950s, a climate in which the repression of gays was as severe as that of political dissidents."

Not only perverts were oppressed in the awful age of all-American wholesomeness. Communists were too. But the sickos and commies have the whip hand now, as this repugnant collection of filth celebrates.

Sixty-five percent of the Smithsonian's budget is provided by the Federal Government. That is, the money is stolen from the very people in whose faces it is spitting with this obscene exhibit.

British Taxpayers Give Unemployed Somali Over $3,000/Week to Live in Mansion

Posted by Dave Blount at 8:57 AM

Financing your own colonization, displacement, and disappearance isn't cheap. The Somali immigrant in the news in Portland recalls the story of the Abdi Nur clan:

A family of former asylum-seekers from Somalia are living in a £2.1million luxury townhouse in one of Britain's most exclusive addresses at a cost to taxpayers of £8,000 a month.
Abdi and Sayruq Nur and their seven children moved into their three-storey property in a fashionable area of London … because they didn't like the 'poorer' part of the city they were living in.
Mr Nur, 42, an unemployed bus conductor, and his 40-year-old wife, who has never worked, are now living in Kensington despite the fact that they are totally dependent on state benefits.

Big Government gives Nur £2,000 (US$3,109.31) per week of other people's money, which he then passes along to the landlord. No expense is too great when it comes to importing future generations of Mohamed Osman Mohamuds.

At least Nur is more or less happy with his free accommodations now.

Mr Nur said: 'The new house is good enough and it is near the school and the shops. We need a house this big because we have so many children.
'The old house was good but the area was not so good. It was a very poor area and there were no buses, no shops and the schools were too far.
'The old house was four or five bus stops away from the primary school attended by two of my children.

Nur didn't come all the way from Somalia and climb aboard the moonbat gravy train just to watch his children endure four or five bus stops.

The family's three-storey property, which dates from the 1840s, has five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully fitted kitchen and a garden.
The family's living room, which boasts a large bay window, is dominated by a 50in LG flatscreen TV. It also has two large black leather sofas, two elaborate rugs and lush houseplants.

Adapting quickly to the extravagant and completely unearned luxury, Nur asserts that he and his typically (for immigrants from Muslim countries) large family are "no better or no worse off than anyone else."

When last heard from, Nur said he was looking for a job, but it's hard to see the point. When last he worked, 18 months previously, he was making £6.50 an hour. To pay the rent on his new digs he would have to work 44 hours per day. In a country run by moonbats, working just doesn't make any sense.

Election-Tampering Mark Ritchie Associated With Communist Party USA

Posted by Dave Blount at 7:39 AM

As the Democrat Party's rapid descent into ultra-radicalism proves, the Cold War isn't over by a long shot. Mark Ritchie, the Minnesota Secretary of State who took a Senate seat away from Norm Coleman and handed it to the obnoxious left-wing comedian Al Franken, is affiliated not only with Obama's ACORN, but with the Communist Party USA.

This highly secretive organization trusts Ritchie enough to invite him to high level "not for publication" meetings, like one in 1999 following the appalling leftist riots at the WTO conference in Seattle. Via New Zeal, this document shines some light on Ritchie's contribution:

Having helped Al Franken take power despite losing the election, Ritchie is now trying to give the governorship to Mark Dayton — who like Franken is supported by the Communist Party USA. Ritchie's ability to do this explains the campaign by George Soros to take control of Secretary of State offices throughout the country.

Let's see how much hypocrisy authoritarian leftist Howard Dean can pack into a 1-minute clip. First he calls for government control of political speech, which is explicitly prohibited by the First Amendment. Then he gripes that the "level of ignorance about what's in the Constitution is just appalling." From there he goes on to accuse the Tea Party of wanting to enforce the Constitution selectively.

This same trick of pretending to be fair by advocating the suppression of both Fox News and MSNBC was floated earlier by the execrable Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV). This is the equivalent of trying to capture the enemy queen by sacrificing a pawn. Fox News is a legitimate news service watched by many more people than all other cable news services combined. Portland Opposed to War on Terror

Posted by Dave Blount at 3:37 PM

When the FBI rescued Portland by taking the Islamic fiend Mohamed Osman Mohamud off the streets, it did so against the wishes of the liberal city's leadership:

In 2005, leaders in Portland, Oregon, angry at the Bush administration's conduct of the war on terror, voted not to allow city law enforcement officers to participate in a key anti-terror initiative, the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force. On Friday, that task force helped prevent what could have been a horrific terrorist attack in Portland. Now city officials say they might re-think their participation in the task force — because Barack Obama is in the White House.
Reading the FBI affidavit describing Islamist terror suspect Mohamed Osman Mohamud's plan to bomb a Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Portland's Pioneer Courthouse Square is a chilling experience. Mohamud, a Somali-born naturalized U.S. citizen who attended Oregon State University, told undercover FBI agents he dreamed of performing acts of jihad in which hundreds, perhaps thousands, of Americans would die. "Do you remember when 9/11 happened when those people were jumping from skyscrapers?" Mohamud asked the agents, according to the affidavit. "I thought that was awesome."
In months of preparation with men he thought were co-conspirators but were in fact undercover agents, Mohamud backed up his talk with action. After initially making email contact with Islamist radicals in Pakistan, he took part in constructing what he hoped would be an extraordinarily powerful bomb, scouted the best location for the attack, parked the van containing the bomb near the Christmas tree crowd, and, finally, dialed the cell phone number he believed would detonate the explosives. "I want whoever is attending that event to leave either dead or injured," Mohamud said of the 25,000 people expected to take part in the event.
That Mohamud was arrested and no one was hurt is a testament to good intelligence and law enforcement work. Having Mohamud behind bars has undoubtedly saved lives in Portland; had he not encountered the undercover FBI agents, he might have worked with actual terrorists to construct a bomb, or he might have simply gotten a gun and carried out "an operation here, you know, like something like Mumbai," as he told the agents.
What is ironic is that the operation that found and stopped Mohamud is precisely the kind of law enforcement work that Portland's leaders, working with the American Civil Liberties Union, rejected during the Bush years. In April 2005, the Portland city council voted 4 to 1 to withdraw Portland city police officers from participating in the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force. Mayor Tom Potter said the FBI refused to give him a top-secret security clearance so he could make sure the officers weren't violating state anti-discrimination laws that bar law enforcement from targeting suspects on the basis of their religious or political beliefs.

Try to get your head around the insanity of barring the targeting of suspects on the basis of their religious beliefs when it is their religious beliefs that motivate them to kill. The equivalent in a conventional war would be a prohibition of targeting enemy soldiers on the basis of their uniform.

Now, there are indications that the Mohamud case might cause city leaders to change their mind about the FBI and the war on terror. Current mayor Sam Adams, who says he was not aware of the Mohamud investigation until after Mohamud had been arrested, told the Oregonian newspaper that he might ask the city council to reconsider the decision to pull out of the Joint Terrorism Task Force. Because he now realizes the city was wrong? Not at all. "[Adams] stressed that he has much more faith in the Obama administration and the leadership of the U.S. Attorney's office now than he did in 2005," the paper reported.

The US Attorney's office is now dominated by leftists openly sympathetic to Islamic terrorists.

You would think that a horrific act of Muslim terrorism would at least cure liberal towns of their foolishness. But New Yorkers allowing the servile dhimmi Michael Bloomberg to set himself up as Mayor for Life after 9/11 proves that being liberal means never having to say, "Oh, now I get it."

Authorities React to Oregon Bomb Plot by Fretting About Islamophobia

Posted by Dave Blount at 11:47 AM

In liberal Oregon, how do the authorities react to a Muslim attempt to murder hundreds of innocent families at a Christmas tree-lighting ceremony? But protecting Muslims, naturally:

Patrols around mosques and other Islamic sites in Portland have been stepped up as Muslim leaders expressed fears of retribution, days after a Somali-American man was accused of trying to blow up a van full of explosives during the city's Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
Portland Mayor Sam Adams said Sunday that he beefed up protection around mosques "and other facilities that might be vulnerable to knuckle-headed retribution" after hearing of the bomb plot.

In the fantasy world inhabited by liberals, every Muslim attempt to kill us is more evidence of how violent we are. Religion of Peaceniks at the Islamic center in Corvallis, where Mohamed Osman Mohamud worshiped his bloodthirsty god and where a fire conveniently broke out Sunday, are only too happy to play along with this farce.

Yosof Wanly, the center's imam, said he was thinking about temporarily relocating his family because of the possibility of hate crimes.

The foiled atrocity shines a light on the wickedness not only of normal Americans, but of the FBI:

Omar Jamal, first secretary for the Somali mission to the United Nations in New York City, told The Associated Press his office has received "thousands of calls" from Somalis in the United States who are concerned about tactics used by federal agents in the sting operation against Mohamud. … Jamal said there is concern in the Somali community that Mohamud was "lured into an illegal act." …many Somalis in the United States are wondering whether Mohammud's rights were violated by federal agents, he said. …
The FBI affidavit said it was Mohamud who picked the target of the bomb plot, that he was warned several times about the seriousness of his plan, that women and children could die, and that he could back out.

But no doubt Mohamud would have devoted his life to singing Kumbayah at peace rallies if only the FBI hadn't led him astray. In any case, his eagerness to murder the innocent for Allah pales in comparison with the unconscionable Islamophobia of those who oppose building a victory mosque at Ground Zero.

British Schoolchildren Paid to Walk to School

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:08 AM

The moonbat compulsion to run up bills that we have to pay while meddling intrusively in each aspect of our lives reaches a new extreme of absurdity with every passing day in once great Britain, where schoolchildren now receive payment for walking to school:

Every school in the country will be offered access to technology which would allow children to use swipe cards to track their journeys, so that points can be swapped for consumer rewards.
Under a pilot scheme under way in Wimbledon, south London, teenage girls receive a £5 Topshop voucher if they walk to school eight times, and an Odeon cinema ticket for five journeys, in a certain period.
The controversial initiative is one of several schemes endorsed in a strategy which will urge councils and businesses to find more "creative" ways to improve the nation's health.
Ministers say their approach is a departure from Labour's "nanny state" tactics which attempted to lecture people into changing their ways.

Actually, a departure from nanny statism would be for bureauweenies to limit themselves to the legitimate role of government, rather than coercively dictating how citizens go about their daily lives. But no doubt statists consider it noncoercive to bribe people with other people's money — as if the funds for this idiocy were offered up voluntarily.

Bribes are inspired by the "nudge" theory of behavior modification popular among the allegedly conservative liberals now running Britain.

While in opposition David Cameron was so impressed with the 2008 bestseller Nudge, by Chigago Business School economist Richard Thaler and Chicago Law School professor Cass Sunstein — which suggests how to influence human behaviour — that he required all shadow cabinet members to read it during their summer holidays.

Yes, it's that Cass Sunstein — Comrade Obama's insane and authoritarian Regulatory Czar.

Since the Coalition was formed, the Cabinet Office has set up a "behavioural insight team" — dubbed "the Nudge team".

When "nudging" doesn't work, the iron fist emerges from the Nanny State's fuzzy mitten:

The Government has said it wants to work with food and alcohol retailers to improve the nation's habits, rather than introduce laws to regulate their produce and marketing.
However … if businesses fail to meet deadlines to make voluntary changes it will consider introducing regulations.

Government exists to protect us from others. Once we grant it authority to protect us from ourselves, the slide into totalitarianism on display in Britain is inevitable.

HuffPo Commenters on the Oregon Bomber

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:18 AM

Somali-born Mohamed Osman Mohamud thought he was serving Islam's evil god by killing hundreds of innocent Americans at a Christmas tree-lighting celebration in Portland. Actually, all he was doing was walking into an FBI trap — and inspiring affection and spittle-spewing moonbattery among the vermin commenting at the largest liberal blog, Huffington Post. A few samples:

Look at this young man's beautiful face. He could have been redirected to modeling instead of encouraged in terrorism by the FBI. What does that say about us?
How wonderful. Our entire intelligence apparatus is engaged in targeting a 16 year old Somalian named Mohammad, approaching him with fame and glory, wait till he is 18, teaching him how to build a bomb. Better yet build one themselves and detonate in remote area. Buy him a van, fill it with fake explosives. Get him a cell phone, give him a number to dial to explode the device in crowded and the arrest him.
That's what can happen when you support brutal policies against an individual's homeland; and the U.S. supported the Ethiopian invasion of Somalia, along with many other things that go completely unreported in the MSM.
I just feel terrible for his parents and family; our hearts and prayers go out to them.
ANOTHER "terrorist" manufactured out of whole cloth… the FBI only had to supply the time, the location and the phony bomb… then swoop in to save the gullible US citizenry from a scenerio THEY set-up and created.
Please make an attempt to educate yourself. Religious terrorism is not limited to one religion. Here you go: The Christian Militia plot against law enforcement
The FBI could encourage thousands of mentally disturbed individuals to enact their violent fantasies. This is a great make work program for informants, and a great way to enhance agents' career prospects and to assure increased funding for the FBI.
Clueless Patsy Set-up by FBI in Christmas Tree Bombing Plot. The Global War On Terror mill needs a constant stream of patsies and dim wits to keep the charade in motion.
The FBI has hundreds of these muslim sleeper patsies. Whenever the public gets uppity about police state measures, they activate one.
Gotta keep the muslim terrorist phantom menace alive.
Good to know the FBI is keeping us safe by luring unstable youth into incriminating themselves, then busting them. I wonder how much this ''we're fightin' the terrists'' PR theatre cost tax payers over 18 months.
And I am sure this attempted terrorist attack, by a Somali, has nothing to do with what the U.S. has done to his homeland, just like 9-11, and all the other acts of Islamic terrorism directed against us, had nothing to do with the brutal foreign policy America conducts within the Islamic world? I must say, I love sanctimonious Americans whose government is, and has been since WW2, the greatest purveyor of violence, to borrow a line from Martin Luther King, in the world ( the U.S. is literally responsible for the deaths of millions of innocent people over the last 60 years) lecturing Muslims about violence!
When the FBI identifies these kids that feel angry and disenfranchised - wouldn't resources be better spent getting them some help instead of encouraging and arranging for them to commit a crime? If you look at all the recent "plots" most were helped along by the FBI themselves. Is this OK?
So why do you think he did it? Has anyone asked what is motivating these individuals into attacking the US?
As a Black kid, foreign and Muslim, I can imagine him being on the receiving end of taunts and harassment, or just isolation. Or maybe he's a sociopath. Maybe his mom didn't hug him enough. Maybe people won't stop asking him about Somali pirates.
Johnny Steps
This shouldn't even be news, and the fact that the mouthbreathers are insisting this is validation of the efforts of our right wing anti terror campaigns is just insulting to those of us with anything resembling intelligence.
If america would learn humility then we wouldn't have to worry about people trying to kill us, as it is, america's lack of humility obligates people to kill us.
Johnny Steps
Take note everyone this is the right wing world view in action where we can manipulate people into serving the role of our boogeyman and thereby prove our usefulness merely by manufacturing an enemy.
Do you think that muslim kids might feel a bit more "American" if we weren't reserving public spaces for christian-only ceremonies?
No, the threat was NOT real. It was fabricated. A poor minority was strung along by the FBI and then offered the tools and encouragement to do what they wanted him to do.
What's worse, what this guy tried to do or what the teabagger who stumped the woman in the head did? I just wonder.…

One more pair:

My gratitude is immeasurable.… my daughter and granddaughter were at that tree lighting ceremony.
The bomb wasn't real, so you were in no danger.

Relax, there's no danger. Muslims are too cuddly to hurt anyone, and besides, when they kill us we deserve it for not being sufficiently moonbatty.

If anyone emerges more purely evil than Mohamed Osman Mohamud, liberals will fall on their knees and worship him.

UN Endorses Executing Homosexuals

Posted by Dave Blount at 7:54 AM

One-world moonbats are going to have a hard time reconciling their doting affection for homosexuals with their love of the United Nations and particularly the often Muslim Third World countries that hold sway there, in light of an amendment to a resolution condemning extrajudicial, arbitrary, and summary executions. According to the amendment, which passed, executions of these kinds are okay for gays.

A collection of notorious human rights violators voted for the amendment including Afghanistan, Algeria, China, Congo, Cuba, Eritrea, North Korea, Iran (didn't Ahmadinejad tell the world there were no gays in Iran?), Egypt, Malaysia, Pakistan, Russia, Sudan, Uganda, Vietnam, Yemen, and Zimbabwe.

Commies, Muslims, and Africans — all beloved of progressives — don't seem to be on board with the rainbow agenda. The only Middle Eastern country to vote against the agenda was reviled (by moonbats) Israel. No African nation voted against it, possibly due to the toll AIDS is taking there.

Edmund Morris Curses, Denounces America

Liberal Yappers Turn On the Charm

Posted by Dave Blount at 2:02 PM

Anyone who thinks conservative rhetoric occasionally gets overheated should check out the quotes of liberal talk show hosts collected by the Media Research Center in The Real Radio Hatemongers (PDF). Here is some vintage Mike Malloy from the executive summary:

"Do you not understand that the people you hold up as heroes bombed your goddamn country? Do you not understand that Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly are as complicit of the September 11, 2001 terror attack as any one of the dumbass 15 who came from Saudi Arabia?" (Mike Malloy)
"[Representative Michele Bachmann is] a hatemonger. She's the type of person that would have gladly rounded up the Jews in Germany and shipped them off to death camps.… This is an evil bitch from Hell." (Mike Malloy)
"[Dick] Cheney, by the way, looks very ruddy. I couldn't get over that. Like, he must have feasted on a Jewish baby, or a Muslim baby. He must have sent his people out to get one and bring it back so he could drink its blood." (Mike Malloy)
"I'm waiting for the day when I pick up the newspaper or click on the Internet and find that [Rush Limbaugh has] choked to death on his own throat fat, or a great big wad of saliva or something, whatever. Go away, Limbaugh, you make me sick." (Mike Malloy)

Montel Williams is another charmer:

"So, Michele [Bachmann], slit your wrist! Go ahead! I mean, you know, why not? I mean, if you want to — or, you know, do us all a better thing. Move that knife up about two feet. I mean, start right at the collarbone." (Montel Williams)

If liberals spew this much venom while they're getting their way, imagine how pleasant they will be when the Moonbat Messiah has been flushed out of the White House and conservatives are in a position to clean up the gargantuan mess progressives have been making of the country.

At the Workers World Party convention in NYC earlier this month, Mike Martinez treated the cheering audience to some moonbat poetry, calling for the assassination of Tea Party patriots, armed revolution by racist Black Panthers goons, and the execution of "bosses" — by whom he presumably means the economically productive:

A few lowlights:

I got my scope on you Tea Party fascists. I'm reading Lenin, training in target practice. … Remember New Orleans? They let those levees break. … Wait till you see my Panther comrades lead an uprising in every single last ghetto. … So follow the Party's command, every woman student and man, fall into position. The Workers World Party will put the bosses up against the wall and bring justice to each one in the order of who's the greediest of them all.

Et cetera.

Communism is an insane ideology, so naturally communists say crazy things. What's alarming is the connections these vermin have to the extremists in the White House. As New Zeal reports:

In the 1970s, many Party members worked closely with the terrorist Weather Underground. Several W.W.P. cadre, for instance attended the Weathermen's February 1976 National Hard Times Conference in Chicago, with the likes of Jennifer Dohrn, sister of W.U.O. leader Bernardine Dohrn.
Another prominent W.U.O. leader, Bernardine Dohrn's husband Bill Ayers, was involved in at least one W.W.P. front while living in New York in the early 1980s.
The W.W.P. apparently believes that major instability is looming in the U.S. and mean[s] to take full advantage of it.

The source of potential instability is uncoincidentally the Cloward-Piven economic policy of Barack Hussein Obama, who has been methodically spending the country toward economic collapse. His close connection to Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, who launched his political career from their apartment, goes back decades.

When Hopey Change really hits the fan, cavemen like Martinez stand ready to recreate Stalin's Soviet Union in North America. Somehow I doubt the current occupants of the White House would have a problem with that.

Somali Pirates on Their Way to British Welfare Line

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:24 AM

One advantage of the Islamification of Britain is that soon Britons won't have to travel to the Indian Ocean to get kidnapped by Somali pirates:

Two members of the Somali pirate gang that held Britons Paul and Rachel Chandler hostage for 388 days are believed to have family in the UK.
One of the pirate leaders says he plans to travel to the UK to join his wife and two children, who have claimed political asylum and live in London. …
A second pirate involved in the seizing of the Chandlers is suspected to have lived in Britain and to have family living in London. It is unclear whether his family has also claimed asylum and whether either family receives benefits.

It certainly would be unusual if they aren't getting benefits. A life of luxury at taxpayer expense is one of the main enticements for the hordes of Muslims flooding into Britain, the other being the convenience of having infidels to murder so close at hand.

Both men are said to have received a 'cut' of the estimated £625,000 ransom paid for the release of Mr Chandler, 60, and his 57-year-old wife.
Investigators say the revelations raise the possibility of pirates travelling to Britain and of part of the ransom money being transferred to family members in the UK.
Their warnings come just weeks after Home Secretary Theresa May highlighted the links between British extremists and Somalia, with some UK citizens travelling there to train alongside Al Qaeda-linked groups. Anti-terrorist investigators believe some have returned to Britain and they have been looking at associations between the UK and pirate gangs, who currently hold some 40 ships and 500 crew hostage.

Multiculturalism certainly is livening things up in Britain. Look for plenty of excitement much closer to home than Africa as the once great nation allows itself to deteriorate into Somali North.

Muslim Artist Exploits 7/7

Posted by Dave Blount at 7:07 AM

It isn't enough for Muslims to kill innocent people. They have to amplify the message by using their murder and mayhem as a base from which to launch propaganda attacks and to prove that no matter how hard they poke their finger in our chest, we will just keep stepping back. The obscene Ground Zero Mosque is essentially a continuation of the attacks of September 11. Likewise, the Muslim atrocities committed in Britain on July 7, 2005 continue to this day in the form of a piece by Muslim artist Mark Sinckler:

A Muslim artist has sparked outrage with his depiction of the ripped-apart bus destroyed in the 7/7 terror attacks.
The artwork shows four angels flying above the bombed number 30 bus — the same number of Al Qaeda terrorists who took part in the atrocity which left 52 commuters dead and maimed hundreds more on London's transport network.
Also seen are scores of ghostly souls shooting from the bus, which was travelling through Tavistock Square when it was devastated by suicide bomber Hasib Hussain.
The artwork shows four angels flying above the bombed number 30 bus — the same number of Al Qaeda terrorists who took part in the atrocity.
The artist has also used photo trickery to write the message 'Outright terror… bold and brilliant' on the side of the bus.
Sickeningly, the £3,500 artwork, called Age of Shiva, is on display just one mile from where the 13 innocent commuters were killed as they travelled on the bus through central London.

In total, 52 innocent civilians were killed in the 7/7 attacks, and about 700 were injured.

Sinckler says his intention is to "shock." Apparently it is also to gloat — and more importantly, to advance Islam by intimidating and dispiriting those who have not yet fallen to it. Predictably, the moonbat art establishment is happy to assist by displaying the obscenity at the Mark & Stencils gallery at 1 Berwick Street in London.

Spanish Do-Gooder Owns Sun

Posted by Dave Blount at 6:40 AM

Spain's economic woes have been solved, now that Angeles Duran has registered the sun at a local notary public as her own personal property.

The document issued by the notary public declares Duran to be the "owner of the Sun, a star of spectral type G2, located in the centre of the solar system, located at an average distance from Earth of about 149,600,000 kilometers."
Duran, who lives in the town of Salvaterra do Mino, said she now wants to slap a fee on everyone who uses the sun and give half of the proceeds to the Spanish government and 20 percent to the nation's pension fund.
She would dedicate another 10 percent to research, another 10 percent to ending world hunger — and would keep the remaining 10 percent herself.

The cost of solar energy will go up, now that we have to pay Duran a royalty. But that doesn't matter, because green energy is subsidized with funny money printed up by the government anyway.

Muslims Honor Helen Thomas Some More

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:40 AM

Helen Thomas's long career in journalistic moonbattery is over, but she's not done collecting kudos from her admirers.

Having received a "Courage in Journalism" award from the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, former White House correspondent Helen Thomas is now scheduled to be honored by an Arab group whose executive director had his home raided by the FBI because of his alleged ties to terrorist groups.
On December 12, the Arab American Action Network (AAAN) is featuring a speech by Thomas, who has been called the Arab American Dean of the White House Press Corps, as part of its 15th anniversary fundraising event.
The Arab American National Museum, based in Dearborn, Michigan, is currently raising funds for a Helen Thomas Sculpture Project, in order to create a sculpture honoring Thomas. The Arab American National Museum is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution. [The Smithsonian receives about 80% of its funding from the federal government — i.e., from you.]
But plans to honor Thomas — and questions about how she should be treated in the history of journalism in the U.S. — have become increasingly controversial because of the questions surrounding the AAAN and its executive director, Hatem Abudayyeh. His home was raided on September 24 as part of an FBI investigation into illegal support provided by U.S.-based groups to foreign terrorist organizations in the Middle East and Latin America.
Incredibly, the raid followed a friendly visit to the White House by Abudayyeh earlier this year.

Considering the circles the Manchurian Moonbat moves in, which include terrorists like Bill Ayers and AAAN founder Rashid Khalidi, maybe this isn't so incredible after all.

Readers will recall that the kibosh was finally put on Thomas's disgraceful career when she publicly called for Jews to be deported from their homeland to the site of the Holocaust.

Prominent among her accomplishments,

During the Bush Administration years, Thomas became known for Bush-bashing and her sleazy technique of making accusations disguised as questions at news conferences and briefings. She became the poster girl of liberal media bias, serving to discredit the notion of a professional and objective press corps.

Thomas now works as "a full-time advocate for the Arab/Muslim cause" — as opposed to only doing it three quarters of the time as a member of the "mainstream" media.

Big Brother to Keep a Close Eye on Houston

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:12 AM

Rest easy, comrades — as promised, the Manchurian Moonbat continues to halt the rise of privacy. In Houston:

The city is installing 250 to 300 cameras at downtown intersections in an effort to prevent and fight terrorism and crime, part of a security initiative sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. …
More than 50 cameras already have been installed around the George R. Brown Convention Center, Discovery Green Park, the theater district and Minute Maid Park. Every downtown intersection will be equipped with a camera.

Even some parks may be getting cameras, lest terrorists launch an assault on Houston's infidel pigeons.

Don't worry about the costs. Taxpayers have plenty of money, and when that runs out, Ben Bernanke can always print more. As for privacy, we're told we have "no expectation" of it anyway.

Maybe we could take our rulers' attempts to keep us "safe" by putting us under microscopes at face value if they showed some sign of targeting the people actually likely to do us harm. But with political correctness taking such obvious precedence over security, it's hard not to suspect that public surveillance is an end in itself.

Obama Thanksgiving Speech

Posted by Dave Blount at 8:45 AM

Since the Manchurian Moonbat was probably busy playing golf or bowing to foreign dictators, Sarah Palin thoughtfully wrote a Thanksgiving speech on his behalf, stitched together out of a few of his gaffes:

My fellow Americans in all 57 states, the time has changed for come. With our country founded more than 20 centuries ago, we have much to celebrate - from the FBI's 100 days to the reforms that bring greater inefficiencies to our health care system. We know that countries like Europe are willing to stand with us in our fight to halt the rise of privacy, and Israel is a strong friend of Israel's. And let's face it, everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma and they end up taking up a hospital bed. It costs, when, if you, they just gave, you gave them treatment early, and they got some treatment, and ah, a breathalyzer, or an inhalator. I mean, not a breathalyzer, ah, I don't know what the term is in Austrian for that…

Just think of the fun the media could have with these stumbles if a Republican made them.

The Real Story of Thanksgiving

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:47 AM

One of the things we have to be most thankful for is the countermoonbattery that defines America, as El Rushbo explains:

Mental Ward Loses Appeal

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:28 AM

Among the many things we have to be thankful for this Thanksgiving: hebephrenically anti-American professor Ward Churchill — who denounced those who died during the Muslim atrocities of September 11 as "Little Eichmanns" — has lost an appeal in his effort to sue his way back into the classroom:

The Colorado Court of Appeals … court ruled that Denver District Judge Larry Naves was right to direct a verdict in favor of the university and to find that the university was entitled to "quasi-judicial immunity."
"We conclude that the nature of the decision reached by the university and its regents, and the process by which that decision was reached, shared enough characteristics with the judicial process to warrant absolute immunity from liability," states the opinion from Judge Dennis Graham, who was writing for the Court of Appeals.

Churchill was fired not for the obscene sentiments he so noisily expressed, but for plagiarism and fraud. However,

Churchill's lawyer, David Lane, said he will try to convince the Colorado Supreme Court to take up the case. He predicted the case could eventually end up before the U.S. Supreme Court.

He ought to hold back until Comrade Obama makes one more appointment to the Supremes, tilting the court into hard core moonbattery. Then again, if another seat opens up, Churchill might forget about teaching; no doubt the media would celebrate the nomination of the first faux-Indian justice.

Excellence Crushed in the Name of Diversity

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:53 AM

In a world run by egalitarian moonbats, no child left behind means no child can be allowed to get ahead.

One of the most racially mixed high schools in Illinois, Evanston has a mission of embracing diversity and promoting equity and excellence for all students. But its own data show that few minority students make it into the school's most rigorous courses that will best prepare them for college and the future.

Who could be to blame for minority students failing to achieve excellence? Overachieving white kids, of course. So educrats have no choice but to punish them:

Across the Chicago region, high school officials say they are making inroads in diversifying their advanced classes, but Evanston is considering the boldest step of all: eliminating an elite honors English course that has traditionally been offered to the highest-achieving incoming freshmen — usually white.

Freshmen who outscore 95% of their peers nationally on achievement tests will no longer have their own class, but will be lumped in with students who can barely read in the name of imposing social justice.

There's only one way to achieve equality of outcome: coercively reduce everyone to the lowest common denominator.

At least schools are teaching the highly useful skill of speaking Newspeak. How's this for Orwellian:

"It's time for all students to experience excellence," said Naomi Daugherty, co-president of the Student Council this year.

Obviously, if all students experience it, it isn't excellence, but mediocrity. So we'll just rename mediocrity as excellence, mandate it, and voilà: diversity, which is what liberals call it when everyone is forced to be the same.

Don't be too hard on the educrat apparatchiks at Evanston. They have to answer to a higher authority…

U.S. Department of Education has stepped up civil rights monitoring that gauges whether schools are providing minority students access to rigorous programs.

That is, either put black kids who don't belong there in the honors programs, kill the honors programs, or have Obamunist bureaucrats breathing down your neck.

Meanwhile this school is spending an astounding $20,000 per pupil per year. Best to keep Washington happy and the gravy train rolling. In a society militantly devoted to mediocrity, smart kids are expendable anyway.

Under Obama, Keystone Cops Take Up International Diplomacy

Posted by Dave Blount at 8:11 AM

Our liberal rulers continue to work toward a diplomatic solution with Islamic maniacs bent on our utter destruction:

For months, the secret talks unfolding between Taliban and Afghan leaders to end the war appeared to be showing promise, if only because of the appearance of a certain insurgent leader at one end of the table: Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansour, one of the most senior commanders in the Taliban movement.
But now, it turns out, Mr. Mansour was apparently not Mr. Mansour at all. In an episode that could have been lifted from a spy novel, United States and Afghan officials now say the Afghan man was an impostor, and high-level discussions conducted with the assistance of NATO appear to have achieved little.
"It's not him," said a Western diplomat in Kabul intimately involved in the discussions. "And we gave him a lot of money."

That's okay. Just print some more.

Anticommunist Movies Break Through Hollywood's Iron Curtain

Posted by Dave Blount at 11:57 AM

Bleak as things look lately for lovers of liberty, it may turn out that the catastrophic 2008 election was the high water mark for authoritarian collectivism. Even Hollywood could be starting to realize that we've swallowed something very harmful and need to have our stomachs pumped. After generations of dominance by the Left, the movie industry is taking aim at communism:

This heartening trend began with 2008's blockbuster hit "Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull," produced by George Lucas and directed by Steven Spielberg, in which Indiana Jones fights Soviet communist agents who are trying to capture an alien crystal skull in order to brainwash the West. The trend continues into 2010 and 2011 with a series of high-profile films that include this summer's Angelina Jolie thriller "Salt," Bruce Beresford's film "Mao's Last Dancer," the upcoming "Earth Defense Force" from "Spider-Man" director Sam Raimi, and "The Reluctant Communist" from "Rush Hour" director Brett Ratner. MGM has even jumped into the fray with an action-packed, patriotic remake of the '80s anti-communist classic, "Red Dawn."
Conservatives should take heart from these developments because of the surprising fissures they reveal in the formerly monolithic leftist worldview of the film industry.

It would be good news to hear that Tinseltown cares more about making a buck than ramrodding moonbattery down our throats. Still better is the news that this isn't necessarily mercenary pandering. Even art films are turning on the commies:

Academy Award-winning director Bruce Beresford, whose credits include "Breaker Morant" and "Driving Miss Daisy," has directed an extraordinary new film called "Mao's Last Dancer," which is still playing in theaters nationwide. This film tells the true story of brilliant Chinese ballet dancer Li Cunxin … who defects from communist China to America in 1981. In the film Li Cunxin says of America, "I dance better here because I feel more free." "Mao's Last Dancer" … unapologetically depicts the communist Chinese suppression of artists. … Also in art-house theaters now is the French spy-thriller "Farewell," which tells the true story of a top Soviet spymaster … who becomes disillusioned with the Soviet system and decides to hand over its most important intelligence secrets to the West.

The documentary format Michael Moore exploited to attack America and economic freedom is being used to promote liberty and shine a light on the horrors of socialism:

"Disco and Atomic War" is a highly-entertaining new Finnish-Estonian documentary released only recently in the US. The film tells the true story of how American-sponsored broadcasts of Western films and TV shows into Soviet Estonia from the 1960s through the 1980s inspired in Soviet citizens an appreciation of Western freedoms that would help bring down the Soviet Union. … Other anti-communist documentaries in 2010 that make a powerful plea for freedom include "Tibet in Song," about a Tibetan filmmaker who was jailed by the communist Chinese for daring to record traditional Tibetan folk songs; "Enemy of the People," an uncompromising look at the communist Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia, directed by a Cambodian filmmaker whose own family members were killed by the regime; "The Autobiography of Nicolae Ceausescu," a revealing look at the Romanian communist dictator; and "The Red Chapel" and "Kimjongilia," two devastating critiques of the inhuman North Korean communist regime.
Finally, Wang Bing's drama "The Ditch" tells the true story of 3,000 Chinese political "rightists" who were deported by the Chinese communist government for "re-education" in labor camps in the remote Gobi desert, where many of them died of disease and starvation. "The Ditch" was a surprise hit at the 2010 Venice Film Festival and was a serious contender for its top prize.

From the movie industry's point of view, allowing the emergence of anticommunist movies may be a matter of staying in the cultural vanguard. Once extreme leftists were able to put one of their own in the White House — and he proved an utter failure at everything except the destruction of our economy, liberties, and world standing — radical chic was bound to lose some luster. This could be an early indication of a major realignment, as Hopey Change makes it obvious that liberalism is a dead end road.

NBC Names Ground Zero Mosque Developer Person of the Year

Posted by Dave Blount at 11:04 AM

Muslims share their love of grinding our faces in humiliation with their liberal allies in the media. Since the site of the World Trade Center is considered sacred to patriotic Americans, no one should be surprised to find NBC celebrating its defilement by naming Ground Zero Mosque developer Sharif El-Gamal (who has had numerous run-ins with the law) a Person of the Year:

NBC and its affiliates have been trounced in ratings over the last several years. With stations like MSNBC under their belt and liberals such as Matt Lauer and Keith Olbermann hosting programs, NBC is clearly disconnected with the average American. Another clear sign of their mismanagement: naming Sharif El-Gamal, developer of the Ground Zero Mosque, one of their "People of the Year."
In an interview set to air on Thanksgiving Day, Matt Lauer sat down with El-Gamal and discussed the "Park 51 Project." El-Gamal, who was apparently pleased to be named one of NBC's people of the year, seemed very comfortable answering questions. The excerpt released so far shows that Mr. Lauer gave El-Gamal a decidedly softball interview.

Given the increasingly obvious fact that Muslims and the moonbats who run our government and media are on the same side, the gloating triumphalism symbolized by the Ground Zero Mosque may help explain the degrading absurdities our liberal rulers have been inflicting on us at airports.

Ten Things You Need to Know About DREAM Act Amnesty

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:55 AM

Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) lists 10 things you probably won't learn from Katie Cupcake and friends regarding the nightmare known as the DREAM Act, which the lame duck Democrat Congress plans to ram through in the interests of creating more voters of the socialist persuasion in time for 2012:

1. The DREAM Act is NOT limited to children, and it will be funded on the backs of hard working, law-abiding Americans.
2. The DREAM Act PROVIDES SAFE HARBOR FOR ANY ALIEN, including criminals, from being removed or deported if they simply submit an application.
3. Certain criminal aliens will be eligible for amnesty under the DREAM Act.
4. Estimates suggest that at least 2.1 million illegal aliens will be eligible for the DREAM Act amnesty. In reality, we have no idea how many illegal aliens will apply.
5. Illegal aliens will get in-state tuition benefits.
6. The DREAM Act does not require that an illegal alien finish any type of degree (vocational, two-year, or bachelor's degree) as a condition of amnesty.
7. The DREAM Act does not require that an illegal alien serve in the military as a condition for amnesty, and there is already a legal process in place for illegal aliens to obtain U.S. citizenship through military service.
8. Despite their current illegal status, DREAM Act aliens will be given all the rights that legal immigrants receive — including the legal right to sponsor their parents and extended family members for immigration.
9. Current illegal aliens will get federal student loans, federal work study programs, and other forms of federal financial aid.
10. DHS is prohibited from using the information provided by illegal aliens whose DREAM Act amnesty applications are denied to initiate their removal proceedings or investigate or prosecute fraud in the application process.

For details on each point, see the Center for Individual Freedom.

The Dems in Congress didn't give a hoot about our interests before we voted them out of office, why would they suddenly become responsive to their constituents now? This might be a good time to start learning Spanish.

Despite a guaranteed base of support that includes 95% of blacks, college professors, and journalists and 100% of people who get their news from NPR, PBS, and/or the New York Times, the incredible shrinking messiah's numbers continue to plummet. Even Zogby is about ready to stick a fork in the Anointed One:

President Barack Obama's job approval rating has dropped to the lowest point of his Presidency at 39%, and in potential match-ups with Republicans in 2012, he trails Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush and Newt Gingrich and is just one point ahead of Sarah Palin.
The percentage of likely voters saying the U.S. is on the wrong track is now the highest since Obama took office at 69%.
The President continues to lose the job approval of Democrats, going from 78% on Nov. 15 to 72% in this Nov. 19-22, 2010 interactive poll. His approval among independents stayed at 39%, and is 6% among Republicans.

Overall, his disapproval rate is 60%. As the stigma of being "racist" enough to disapprove of Obama and his noxious agenda fades, this number will continue to rise. But that's no reason to get complacent and settle for any of the Republican candidates mentioned above.

Public 9/11 Redevelopment Funds to Pay for Ground Zero Mosque?

Posted by Dave Blount at 7:22 AM

Just how far can Muslims push before they get a reaction? They may yet find out, having applied for public funding for the Ground Zero Mosque obscenity:

The so-called ground zero mosque recently applied for a $5 million federal grant from a fund designed to rebuild lower Manhattan after 9/11, reports The Daily Beast's John Avlon.

Even the moonbats at the Daily Beast are a little put off by the sliminess of Ground Zero Mosque Imam Feisal Rauf and friends:

The stated aim of the Park51 developers is to provide a community center for lower Manhattan's 4,000 Muslim residents. Their own website explained that they understood the need to "appeal to the undecided, and change the conversation about Muslims in America." It's pretty clear that this play for federal dollars will generate none of that, starting with the lack of disclosure or community consultation before developers submitted their application, which was due November 5. …
Part of the strangeness of the application is that it blows past the suggested range of $100,000 to $1 million that these grants are supposed to fall to within (I'm told the entire pool for this round of cultural funding will come in under $20 million).

You have to hand it to Religion of Peaceniks — they really know how to stick their finger in your eye and then twist it around until all but the most pathetically politically correct are enraged. The timing is great too; it gives us something to think about while we're being groped and photographed naked on behalf of Islam for our holiday travels.

Communist To-Do List

Posted by Dave Blount at 1:31 PM

The following list of communist goals appeared in the Congressional Record for January 10, 1963. It was taken from Cleon Skousen's 1958 book The Naked Communist. Let's check on communists' progress toward their ultimate objective of enslaving the entire human race:

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.
6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.
9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.
11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)
12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch."
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture — education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.
43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.
45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

Any of these goals that liberals haven't already accomplished, they are working on as busily as termites. The supposed fall of communism when the Soviet Union imploded doesn't seem to have set them back very far.

Muslim on Homeland Security Advisory Council

Posted by Dave Blount at 11:16 AM

Everyone knows that the reason we have to take off our shoes, have our toothpaste confiscated, and get photographed naked or groped at the airport is because Religion of Peaceniks keep trying to kill us out of sheer evil. We go through these intensely irritating rituals so that our liberal rulers can make it clear that they would rather we suffer than profile the Muslims who commit terror attacks. Twisting the insanity another notch tighter, the very people who should be profiled reportedly get exemptions from the intrusive searches they have made supposedly necessary for the rest of us. It sure helps to have friends in high places:

Exemptions for Muslim women wearing traditional garb may be the brainchild of Mohamed Elibiary, who recently was made a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council. Mr. Elibiary is president and chief executive officer of the Texas-based Freedom and Justice Foundation and a self-styled "de-radicalization expert" whose star has risen during the Obama presidency. He previously was appointed to Homeland Security's Countering Violent Extremism Working Group and has testified before Congress as an expert on Muslim radicalism — a topic he seems to know well.
In December 2004, Mr. Elibiary spoke at a conference honoring the life and works of the "great Islamic visionary," Iran's Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. In 2008, Mr. Elibiary denounced the conviction of Hamas-connected members of the Holy Land Foundation for material support of terrorism. Most alarmingly, Mr. Elibiary is an admirer of the work of Sayyid Qutb, the intellectual and spiritual godfather of modern jihadism. Mr. Elibiary argues that Qutb is greatly misunderstood. "Many Westerners who've read Qutb's and many others' work," Mr. Elibiary wrote, "see the potential for a strong spiritual rebirth that's truly ecumenical allowing all faiths practiced in America to enrich us and motivate us to serve God better by serving our fellow man more."
No one who has read Qutb's work can mistake it for anything but an all-out assault on the American way of life and a call for a global Islamic takeover. The 9/11 Commission noted Qutb's role as an inspiration to al Qaeda and concluded that, "No middle ground exists in what Qutb conceived as a struggle between God and Satan. All Muslims — as he defined them — therefore must take up arms in this fight. Any Muslim who rejects his ideas is just one more nonbeliever worthy of destruction." Qutb — who lived in the United States as a student in the late 1940s — developed a comprehensive anti-American ideology that's widely cited as the basis for the contemporary violent Islamic extremism with which America is at war.

Maybe this makes sense after all. What would you expect a Muslim to do on the Homeland Security Advisory Council if not facilitate terrorism? Not even Big Sis should be taken by surprise. Going back a step, what would you expect the protégé of Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers to do if not load the government with other fanatics motivated by anti-American ideology? As Tom Brokaw would say, Take this, America!

Mohamed Elibiary. Feel safe?

Expungement Summit

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:31 AM

America in the age of "postracial" Obama and his moonbat minions is a great place to be anything but a Caucasian. It's a particularly great place to be a black criminal:

Black males have higher rates of incarceration and of repeat offenses that land them back in jail or prison, statistics show.
Changing that dynamic could begin with expunging their criminal records.
That was the consensus of a discussion Thursday sponsored by the Gary Commission on the Social Status of Black Males in conjunction with the East Chicago-based group Working Outside the Walls and an alliance of grassroot activists. … Expunging the criminal records of juveniles and adults would help them find jobs and turn their lives around, said Bennie Muhammed, GCSSBM executive director.
Dorothy Brown, clerk of the Cook County (Ill.) Circuit Court, outlined how she has organized expungement summits across the state line.
"It's important for all our communities because we all have the same problem," she said.

That is, like the hellholes Gary and East Chicago, Chicago also has a problem with the astronomical crime rate inevitably produced by welfare's destruction of the family and exacerbated by a popular culture that glorifies the "thug life." Good thing they figured out how to solve it.

If expunging records doesn't work, maybe they could try not prosecuting black criminals in the first place. Then hoodlums would be so grateful to the system that they wouldn't commit any more crimes, but instead would devote their time to becoming dentists and accountants, right liberals?

Expunging this would be more effective at reducing crime.

UN Kills Over 1,100 Haitians by Causing Cholera Outbreak

Posted by Dave Blount at 8:00 AM

There is no crisis so great that the corrupt and incompetent transnational nitwits at the United Nations cannot make it much worse:

The mounting circumstantial evidence that U.N. peacekeepers from Nepal brought cholera to Haiti was largely dismissed by U.N. officials. Haitians who asked about it were called political or paranoid. Foreigners were accused of playing "the blame game." The World Health Organization [an agency of the UN] said the question was simply "not a priority."
But [last] week, after anti-U.N. riots and inquiries from health experts, the top U.N. representative in Haiti said he is taking the allegations very seriously.

It may have taken a few riots, but UN bureauweenies are finally worried about losing their nonexistent credibility. Meanwhile, grownups are concerned that the cholera could spread via Haitian immigrants into the USA.

For all the problems in Haiti, at least cholera was not one of them — until the UN do-gooders came.

In March, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said cholera was "extremely unlikely to occur" in Haiti. There were no cholera bacteria there. Most foreigners were relief workers with good sanitation who come from countries where cholera is not an issue.
Then it did happen. There are now more than 1,100 dead; experts say hundreds of thousands will fall ill as the disease haunts Haiti for years.
Even more surprisingly, it did not first appear in a major port, an earthquake tent camp or an area where foreigners are concentrated, but instead along the rural Artibonite River.
Speculation keeps returning to that river and a base home to 454 U.N. peacekeepers from Nepal. They are perched on a babbling waterway called the Boukan Kanni, part of the Meille River that feeds into the Artibonite.
People living nearby have long complained about the stink in the back of the base and sewage in the river. Before the outbreak began they had stopped drinking from that section of the river, depending instead on a source farther up the mountain.
The latest Nepalese deployment came in October, after a summer of cholera outbreaks in Nepal. … The CDC has said the strain of cholera in Haiti matches one found most prevalently in South Asia.

Initially the UN boasted that its septic facilities met US EPA standards.

But when the AP visited on Oct. 27, a tank was clearly overflowing. The back of the base smelled like a toilet had exploded. Reeking, dark liquid flowed out of a broken pipe, toward the river, from next to what the soldiers said were latrines. … At the shovel-dug waste pits across the street sat yellow-brown pools of feces where ducks and pigs swam in the overflow. The path to the river ran straight downhill.

Now that it's done ignoring the issue, the UN is responding exactly as we have come to expect: by demanding more money. It wants $164 million to deal with the outbreak that it caused. Empty your pockets, taxpayers! Don't you care about the world's downtrodden?

TSA Officer Busted for Fondling 10-Year-Old Off Duty

Posted by Dave Blount at 7:21 AM

Given the amount of time TSA workers appear to spend groping little kids, you might wonder who would be drawn to this kind of work. Any decent person looking for a job might end up in the TSA — but so might folks like Charles Henry Bennett:

A former Orlando TSA security officer arrested for allegedly molesting a minor pleaded no contest to one charge [earlier in the year] and was sentenced to 10 years' sex-offender probation.
A victim told deputies [Charles Henry] Bennett asked her to be his sex slave and fondled her against her will.

Bennett was employed by the TSA when he was arrested on a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation of a minor.

Let this be a lesson to TSA agents: coercive groping is allowed only on the job.

Bennett took his work home with him.

Public Child Molestation

Posted by Dave Blount at 5:11 PM

Here's your government at work, keeping you safe by publicly treating a little boy the way terrorists would be treated if our rulers weren't so sympathetic toward them:

The video was taken Friday at Salt Lake City International Airport. Background:

Before the video started the boy went through a metal detector and didn't set it off but was selected for a pat down. The boy was shy so the TSA couldn't complete the full pat on the young boy. The father tried several times to just hold the boys arms out for the TSA agent but i guess it didn't end up being enough for the guy. I was about 30 ft away so i couldn't hear their conversation if there was any. The enraged father pulled his son shirt off and gave it to the TSA agent to search, thats when this video begins.

All of this lunacy is based on the insane presumption that no one is more likely to be a terrorist than anyone else. Question this dogma, and the whole edifice of liberal ideology might come crashing down, leaving us free to deal with the Muslims responsible for virtually all terrorism.

Professor Denounces Children and Wealth, Calls for Nuclear Attack on USA

Posted by Dave Blount at 12:20 PM

Louisiana State University professor Bradley Schaefer hammers away at impressionable youths with the anti-American, antihuman rhetoric that defines the Left:

A few of the gems of wisdom shared by Professor Schaefer:

• "Blood will be on your hands" if you refuse to go along with the debunked global warming hoax.

• "We have too luxurious of a lifestyle." (This echoes Barack Hussein Obama, who said: "We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK. That's not leadership. That's not going to happen.")

• "Hey India and Pakistan both have bombs. And they'll both know that global warming is caused by, well, the whole world of which the US is one of the leading people, one of the leading groups for creating greenhouse gases. You think, you know, fifty years from now they might want to send a couple nukes our way?"

• "The root of the problem here is a combination of there are too many people and we all want luxurious lifestyles."

The solution: fewer people, living in greater poverty. In the past, liberals have been able to pass themselves off as well-meaning even if foolish. Lately the mask has been slipping. They mean the human race anything but well.

Government Moves on Food Supply

Posted by Dave Blount at 2:20 PM

Using malevolent policies to maintain stratospheric unemployment enabled FDR to wield nearly dictatorial power for a dozen years, explaining every major government initiative since Comrade Obama took power. Seizing control of the food supply allowed Joseph Stalin to rule still more repressively, explaining S. 510, the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act:

The government is deliberately moving power into the hands of faceless, unelected bureauweenies in regulatory agencies like the FDA and the EPA, where voters will not be able to get at them.

Meanwhile the lame ducks in the House are working on ramming through their own related mischief:

Its House companion Bill, HR 2749, empowers federal bureaucracies to totally prohibit the movement of any and all foods into or out of a given area (Section 133b, "Authority to Prohibit or Restrict the Movement of Food," sponsored by Congressman Dingell). Sure, sure, the idea may be to prevent the spread of dangerous foods, but once the camel's nose is under the tent, you know what can happen.

Nothing could be more predictable than our liberal rulers going after food, particularly in light of the hype surrounding the phony "obesity" crisis. We couldn't stop them from sowing the seeds of destruction for the housing and healthcare industries. If we don't stop them this time, whether your family eats will be determined by the whim of socialist bureaucrats.

I don't recall Lower asking Dems if they would stand up against Democrats who wanted W to fail. Top IPCC Official Confirms: It's About Looting, Not the Weather

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:19 AM

In case there is anyone left who doesn't understand that the "climate change" crisis (as they have rebranded the debunked global warming hoax) is not about the climate but about massive looting, Ottmar Edenhofer sets the record straight:

Climate policy has almost nothing to do anymore with environmental protection, says the German economist and IPCC official Ottmar Edenhofer. The next world climate summit in Cancun is actually an economy summit during which the distribution of the world's resources will be negotiated.

"Distribution" refers to the crime of stealing wealth from those who created it and giving it to the dysfunctional collectivist dictatorships favored by the United Nations — and by our own liberal rulers.

Ottmar Edenhofer should know what he's talking about. He's co-chair of the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Working Group III.

Only a small child would think greedy bureaucrats can control the weather. "Climate change" is an obvious lie used as a pretext for massive theft.

If we had a legitimate government that represented our country's interests, it would wage total war before paying tribute to the verminous United Nations. What point is there in even having a military if our rulers surrender eagerly without a shot being fired?

Senators Position Their Hands Around the Throat of the Internet

Posted by Dave Blount at 8:45 AM

This ought to warm the heart of those enamored of bipartisanship:

On Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously approved a bill that would give the Attorney General the right to shut down websites with a court order if copyright infringement is deemed "central to the activity" of the site — regardless if the website has actually committed a crime. The Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act (COICA) is among the most draconian laws ever considered to combat digital piracy, and contains what some have called the "nuclear option," which would essentially allow the Attorney General to turn suspected websites "off."

There's one thing Democrats and Republicans can agree on: the Internet is a threat to their power, and needs to be kept on a short leash lest the peasants use it to overturn the applecart.

The justification is copyright infringement:

COICA is the latest effort by Hollywood, the recording industry and the big media companies to stem the tidal wave of internet file sharing that has upended those industries and, they claim, cost them tens of billions of dollars over the last decade.
The content companies have tried suing college students. They've tried suing internet startups. Now they want the federal government to act as their private security agents, policing the internet for suspected pirates before making them walk the digital plank.

Hollywood depends on freedom of expression to exist. Yet in typical crony capitalist fashion, it wants to cast away the ladder, having climbed it to the top. Eventually giving bureaucrats dictatorial control over the dissemination of content will come back to bite them in the pants, but entertainment moguls would have to be able to see past the ends of their cocaine-dusted noses to realize that now.

Getting banned by Eric Holder's arbitrary decree will be easy:

Among the sites that could go dark if the law passes: Dropbox, RapidShare, SoundCloud, Hype Machine and any other site for which the Attorney General deems copyright infringement to be "central to the activity" of the site, according to Electronic Frontier Foundation, a digital rights group that opposes the bill. There need not even be illegal content on a site — links alone will qualify a site for digital death. Websites at risk could also theoretically include p2pnet and or any other website that advocates for peer-to-peer file sharing or rejects copyright law, according to the group.
In short, COICA would allow the federal government to censor the internet without due process.

Say someone disputes the fair use basis on which photos are used on a website. Will Holder pull the plug on it? That probably depends on how favorably he views the content.

The mechanism by which the government would do this, according to the bill, is the internet's Domain Name System (DNS), which translates web addresses into IP addresses. The bill would give the Attorney General the power to simply obtain a court order requiring internet service providers to pull the plug on suspected websites.

First among the thugs responsible for this clearly unacceptable power grab is the author of the bill, the execrable Pat Leahy (D-VT). As if crushing liberty weren't reward enough for Leaky Leahy, he has been well paid by Tinseltown:

Over the course of his career, Leahy has received $885,216 from the TV, movie and music industries, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

Leahy's accomplices include the following cosponsors:

Lamar Alexander [R-TN]
Evan Bayh [D-IN]
Benjamin Cardin [D-MD]
Thomas Coburn [R-OK]

Birth or Butchery?

Posted by Dave Blount at 7:55 AM

Life is cheap, where moonbats who believe in abortion are concerned. Should you let your child live, or kill it? You could flip a coin to decide. Or you could leave it up to strangers on an Internet poll, as Pete and Alisha Arnold of Minnesota are doing:

"Voting is such an important part of who we are as a people," Pete told Gawker. "Here's a chance where people can be heard about whether they are pro-choice or whether they are pro-life, and it makes a difference in the real world." The possible papa says he wants to use this position of uncertainty to engage citizens in the ongoing abortion debate or use this fetus (a boy they call "Wiggles") to teach us how every vote counts or blah blah blah.
Whatever this is, "it's definitely not a pro-life campaign," maybe-mama Alisha assured Gawker. "I believe in a woman's right to choose." Apparently, she also believes in the Internet's right to choose for her.

Fortunately voters have been in favor of showing mercy:

As of this post, the vote is approximately 78 percent "give birth" to 22 percent "have an abortion," with more than 17,000 votes total. This is a distinct upset from earlier today when "have an abortion" was firmly in the lead, thanks to a strong voter turnout from the 4chan demographic, those Internet pranksters that once skewed a vote to make North Korea a winning country on Justin Bieber's tour schedule.

Pete has no problem with 4chan freakazoids encouraging people to vote to abort his son out of sheer wickedness.

"I see 4chan as encouraging people to vote in the poll," he writes on the blog. "How they do it is beyond my control and should not influence decisions about what we are doing here." In the end, he wrote, "we don't see a difference between this and what politicians or supporters do in regards to campaigning."

The whole tasteless stunt is apparently a Balloon Boy style bid for attention. The Arnolds admit that the poll results won't be binding. At least it has drawn some attention to how frivolously we have come to regard human life since the Supremes imposed a "right" to abortion.

Just in case it helps save a life, you can vote at Birth or Not.

Likewise the TSA's outrageous and unconstitutional screening procedures are starting to make sense. The new porno scanners are made by a company called Rapiscan (probably pronounced "rape-ee-scan"), and

George Soros, the billionaire funder of the country's liberal political infrastructure, owns 11,300 shares of OSI Systems Inc., the company that owns Rapiscan. Not surprisingly, OSI's stock has appreciated considerably over the course of the year. Soros certainly is a savvy investor.

Now I know why they don't use dogs. Nothing involving the federal government can pass the smell test these days.

Timely Reading: The Fourth Amendment

Posted by Dave Blount at 11:32 AM

In light of Big Sis's policy of subjecting those traveling by air to being photographed naked and sexually molested, this might be a good time to remind ourselves of the Fourth Amendment of the US Constitution, which so far as I know is still technically in effect:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Happy Kool-Aid Day, Moonbats!

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:31 AM

November 18 is the anniversary of the Jonestown Massacre, the day in 1978 that moonbats began their time-honored tradition of guzzling Kool-Aid. In Guyana, they did it on behalf of communist cult leader Jim Jones, who was too cowardly to drink the cyanide-laced drink himself and had to be shot by one of his henchmen. His wife left instructions for the money they milked from their gullible slaves to be donated to the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

Typically, the Jonestown Massacre has been spun by our liberal ruling class as some sort of religious episode. This is because Jones and his followers worshiped the same thing liberals do: coercive collectivism. As Original Dissent commented,

Our media have concealed, misrepresented, or downplayed the key element in the philosophy of Jim Jones. He was a long-time dedicated Marxist communist who admired totalitarian communist dictatorships such as the Soviet Union and Cuba so much that he built one of his own in Guyana. It was tiny, with fewer than 1,000 inhabitants, but it had many striking resemblances to the dictatorships it was modeled after. The inhabitants were not free to leave Jonestown. Those who tried to escape were severely punished. Family members were kept in Jonestown as hostages to enable the dictator to exert control over those who were on the outside. The inhabitants were cut off from free communication with the outside world. The news they got was filtered through the dictator. They were subjected to the constant blare of exhortations and instructions by loudspeaker, one of the techniques of the Chinese communists. They were forced to attend lengthy meetings, listening to the political harrangues of Jones, after having worked ten to twelve hours in the fields. This is another technique of the Chinese communists. They were trained in what to say to visitors and were as adept as the Chinese, and Soviets in pulling on a good show and concealing the harsh reality. They were not permitted to own any substantial personal property, making them totally dependent on the dictator for their subsistence and survival. They were in mortal fear of the dictator's armed guards and "hit squads," which they believed would track them down and murder them if they should leave. They were punished if they complained about food or living conditions, and they were afraid to express dissatisfaction even privately. There was no religious observance in the community, apart from the obeisance to the all-powerful dictator, Jones. The workers were poorly fed, poorly housed and overworked, while the dictator lived in luxury.

Jones, who claimed to be the reincarnation of the first Soviet dictator Vladimir Lenin, would have fit right in with the Obama Administration. Like Anita Dunn, he was an open admirer of the tyrant with the highest body count in human history, Mao Zedong. In 1978, he traveled to Cuba to meet with Huey Newton, the leader of the Black Panthers, whose descendents have loyal friends in the twisted racist farce Obama has made of the Department of Justice. While Jones's friendships were not as unsavory as Obama's, they did include communist Angela Davis and wife of the worst pre-Obama president, Rosalyn Carter.

As for the supposed religious angle:

Mrs. Jim Jones told The New York Times in 1977 that her husband had decided when he was 21 years old that the way to achieve his Marxist goals was to mobilize people through religion. "Jim used religion to try to get some people out of the opiate of religion," she said, adding that he had once slammed a Bible on the table and said, "I've got to destroy this paper idol!" (New York Times, 11/26/78, p. 20.) The Times informs us that Jones "was openly contemptuous of religion among his associates." (New York Times, 11/21/78, p. A 16). But he used religion to entice new recruits and to deceive naive outsiders. After the victims were hooked, he used sex, blackmail, intimidation and psychological dependence to manipulate them. At Jonestown, where there were no outsiders to be deceived, there were no religious services or discussions of religion. (Washington Post, 11/25/78, p. A 3.) Jones had so corrupted people who were once good Christians that they would commit adulterous or homosexual acts with him or others on his command. They would even commit murder at his command, even the murder of their own children, as we now know. Religion was nothing but a cover for Jones' communist ideology, but most reporters, like a pack of greyhounds, went chasing after the fake rabbit.

They did this not due to extreme stupidity but because then as now, the "mainstream" press shared Jones's ideological objectives.

Inevitably, communism leads to piles of corpses. Jonestown was humbled by the body counts mounted in China, Russia, and Cambodia — but over 900 people did die there 32 years ago today. So lift your glasses of Kool-Aid in pride, moonbats, and toast a historic milestone in the development of collectivism.

Applied moonbattery at Jonestown.

Dem Senator Calls for Banning Cable News

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:36 AM

Like a murdered corpse in a swamp, the fascistic underpinnings of the Democrat Party keep bobbing to the surface. Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV):

"There's a little bug inside of me which wants to get the FCC to say to FOX and to MSNBC: 'Out. Off. End. Goodbye.' It would be a big favor to political discourse; our ability to do our work here in Congress, and to the American people, to be able to talk with each other and have some faith in their government and more importantly, in their future."

Depriving the handful of hard core moonbats who watch MSNBC of their daily dose of dementia would be a small price to pay to wipe away Fox News, the only source of information on television without a liberal bent.

When tyrants like Rockefeller manage to pull the plug on FNC, we'll know we're down to Second Amendment solutions.

Dhimmis Banish Pigs From Toy Play Sets

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:25 AM

Could the moonbats running Britain into ruin possibly be any more obsequious toward their future overlords than this?

A toy shop has been branded "ridiculous" by mothers after it removed a pig from a children's farm set — in case it offended Muslim and Jewish parents.

The "and Jewish" part is a cover for cowardly dhimmitude. Jews have been in Europe for centuries; no one ever banned pigs because of them.

Parents complained so loudly that the pig was reinstated. But the moment resistance flags, the erasure of the Western World on behalf of Islam will continue. Britons are encouraged to enjoy pork and bacon while they are still permitted.

NYU Professor to Have a Camera Implanted in the Back of His Head

Posted by Dave Blount at 8:33 AM

Tuition and fees for undergrads at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts come to $20,891.00 per term. You have to pay big money to get educated by cutting edge luminaries like Wafaa Bilal, who plans to have a camera surgically implanted in the back of his head.

Wafaa Bilal, an Iraqi assistant professor in the photography and imaging department of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, intends to undergo surgery in coming weeks to install the camera, according to several people familiar with the project.

The pictures will be beamed to a museum in Qatar. Students don't have to worry they'll be caught yawning or gesticulating when Bilal's back is turned:

Mr. Bilal has informed all of his students of his plans and has agreed to cover the camera with a black lens cap while on university property…

Earlier stunts by this educator were less innocuous:

For a 2008 project, "Virtual Jihadi," Mr. Bilal hacked a video game to insert an avatar of himself as a suicide-bomber hunting President George W. Bush. The work incited a wave of protests, both for and against it, and eventually the New York Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit in Mr. Bilal's defense after the exhibition was shut down.

No one with the NYCLU in his corner is likely to be a good choice to mold impressionable minds. In case Bilal has failed to hit you over the head with the politics he is no doubt inculcates in class:

Mr. Bilal tattooed on to his back a map of Iraqi cities for a work called "…and Counting." The names of the cities were spelled out in Arabic script, with dots added to mark the location of American and Iraqi casualties.

This project sounds fun:

In his 2007 work, "Domestic Tension," Mr. Bilal confined himself to a gallery in Chicago for a month, inviting the public to visit a website where they could "shoot" the artist by remotely firing a paintball gun at him.

Don't worry about paying the astronomical cost of keeping kids amused by leftist clowns for a few years before they begin the grim task of looking for work. Comrade Obama has seized control of the student loan industry.

Wafaa Bilal. Let me at that paintball gun.

Olbermann's Ratings Plummet

Posted by Dave Blount at 7:38 AM

Some say the "indefinite suspension" that turned out to be a 4-day weekend for Keith Olbermann, who had brazenly violated company policy on campaign donations, was intended as a publicity stunt to drum up ratings. But the initial bounce it gave Doberman was short-lived:

By Monday, he had given up all of this bounce and then some:
• Tuesday November 9's total viewers were 1,499,000
• Monday November 15's total viewers were 1,039,000
• Thursday November 4's total viewers were 1,114,000
Nice little 460,000 drop in just four days.

Meanwhile Olbermann is calling for our undeniably failing president to disregard the pounding his party just took at the polls and govern like all leftists do in the end — as a dictator:

"As President Obama calls for more bipartisanship in the 'post-shellacking era' of his presidency, a progressive group tries to stop the broken record and offers the President some advice: 'Screw all that. You are the chief executive, you have executive powers, use them.'"

This antidemocratic advice from the hard left Center for American Progress earns Queef's clear approval.

That this fascistic freak's ratings are in a nose dive is another indication that despite the disgrace of 2008, America hasn't given up on itself after all.

Is Obama Losing It?

Posted by Dave Blount at 7:07 PM

The buzz grows louder that the Moonbat Messiah isn't just over his head, as any informed voter knew he would be — he's completely losing it. Rumors of a psychiatric meltdown are making their way to the edges of the mainstream:

For troubling details on the Manchurian Moonbat's mental state, check out the first-hand reports from Obama's own Deep Throat at NewsFlavor. According to a beltway insider and former advisor to the Obama election campaign and transition team:

I'll tell you this — if you want to see President Obama get excited about a conversation, turn it to sports. That gets him interested. You start talking about Congress, or some policy, and he just kinda turns off. It's really very strange. I mean, we were all led to believe that this guy was some kind of intellectual giant, right? Ivy League and all that. Well, that is not what I saw. Barack Obama doesn't have a whole lot of intellectual curiosity. When he is off script, he is what I call a real "slow talker". Lots of ummms, and lots of time in between answers where you can almost see the little wheel in his head turning very slowly.
…I don't have a problem saying that the president is losing it. I don't mean he is like losing his mind. I mean to say that he is losing whatever spark he had during the campaign. When you take away the crowds, Obama gets noticeably smaller. He shrinks up inside of himself. He just doesn't seem to have the confidence to do the job of President, and it's getting worse and worse. Case in point — just a few days before I left, I saw first hand the President of the United States yelling at a member of his staff. He was yelling like a spoiled child. And then he pouted for several moments after. I wish I was kidding, or exaggerating, but I am not. The President of the United States threw a temper tantrum. The jobs reports are always setting him off, and he is getting increasingly conspiratorial over the unemployment numbers. I never heard it myself, but was told that Obama thinks the banking system is out to get him now.

The future of the nation is in the hands of neurotic socialist with an alarming background and no serious job qualifications. Terrified yet?

Bristol Palin Inspires Attack on Television Set

Prosecutors say a Black Earth, Wis., man blasted his TV with a shotgun after watching Bristol Palin's "Dancing with the Stars" routine, sparking an all-night standoff with a SWAT team.
According to court documents, 67-year-old Steven Cowan of the town of Vermont in Dane County became enraged while watching Palin dance on Monday evening. He felt Palin was not a good dancer.
He went to his bedroom and returned to the living room with a shotgun and blasted the TV, then pointed the gun at his wife, who managed to escape and call police. Tactical officers surrounded the house and finally managed to talk Cowan out Tuesday morning.

Congress Getting Rich as It Bleeds Us Into Poverty

Posted by Dave Blount at 11:00 AM

Despite the awful state of the economy, one sector has been booming. Unsurprisingly, it's the one that benefits at the expense of all the others, namely government:

Despite a long and deep recession, the collective personal wealth of congressional members increased by more than 16 percent between 2008 and 2009, according to a study released Wednesday by the Center for Responsive Politics.
The study — based on federal financial disclosure data released earlier this year — also found that more than half of all members — 261 — were millionaires.
About one in five of those had average calculated wealth in 2009 of at least $10 million. Eight of the 261 were in the $100 million-plus range.

Too bad not everybody can be a bureauweenie overlord:

In contrast, U.S. median household income dropped 3 percent to $50,221 between 2008 and 2009, the second straight decline, according to the Census Dept. In terms of millionaires, only about 1 percent of the overall population qualifies.

Even for those not in Congress, government work pays well:

The number of federal workers earning $150,000 or more a year has soared tenfold in the past five years and doubled since President Obama took office, a USA TODAY analysis finds.

Each one of these cushy positions bleeds the economy of wealth that in a free country would be used to create real jobs, employing people who do something of value for others and not requiring coercion.

Nothing could be more obvious, yet we desperately need another Ronaldus Maximus to say it again:

"In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem."

Dhimmi Moonbattery Prevented Early Rescue of Elizabeth Smart

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:03 AM

Burkas have their uses even for non-Muslims:

In a stunning revelation that occurred during the trial of Brian David Mitchell — the man accused of abducting then-14 year old Elizabeth Smart in June 2002 — a Salt Lake City police detective confirmed Smart's story that, a mere two months after her kidnapping, she came within a hair's breadth of being rescued.
Detective Jon Richey took the stand to testify that in August 2002, a good Samaritan claimed that Smart might be at a downtown Salt Lake City library. According to the tipster, two young women, who were in the company of an odd-looking bearded man, were wearing burqa-style head coverings. The tipster claimed that the younger of the two women had eyes that were remarkably similar to Smart's (the eyes were the only visible part of the young girl's veiled face).
Upon questioning the trio, Detective Richey asked the man (who we now know to be Mitchell) if he could look under the young girl's burqa. Mitchell vigorously claimed that to expose the girl's face would violate their religious beliefs. No matter how many times Richey asked to see the girl's face, Mitchell stood fast, claiming that there would be "serious religious consequences" should the girl's face be exposed to anyone but her husband. He also told the detective that their religion forbids women from speaking in public.
Detective Richey admitted that he became concerned about violating the trio's "civil rights," so he backed down. Mitchell, his wife and accomplice Wanda Barzee, and Smart were allowed to go on their way, and Elizabeth Smart would be forced to endure seven more months of rape, torture, and physical and mental abuse.

Just so long as nobody in the mainstream media accuses Utah police of being Islamophobes, what's a little rape and torture?

Los Angeles Bans Grocery Bags

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:17 AM

Ecototalitarianism is beyond control in California. As the last sane residents struggle to escape, Los Angeles has now banned plastic grocery bags:

Enacting one of the nation's most aggressive environmental measures, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to ban plastic grocery bags in unincorporated areas of the county. …
The ban, which will cover nearly 1.1 million residents countywide, is to the point: "No store shall provide to any customer a plastic carryout bag." … If grocers choose to offer paper bags, they must sell them for 10 cents each, according to the ordinance.

Many people collect the plastic bags for a number of purposes: to use as lunch bags or wastebasket liners, to clean up after dogs, et cetera. Like anyone foolhardy enough to try running a business in California, they're out of luck.

In the race toward absolute repression of all economic activity, this gives La-La Land a leg up on San Fransicko:

San Francisco's ban, which passed three years ago, is less restrictive because it still permits grocers to offer bioplastic bags made from corn starch, which are imperfect because they also do not degrade in the ocean, Gold said. Bans in San Francisco and Malibu also do not add a surcharge on paper bags, Gold said, which does not give consumers an incentive to switch to reusable cloth bags.

However, the liberal fascists running San Franfreakshow are sure to retake the lead soon. Maybe they'll ban cups or shoelaces, or perhaps the color orange. Who knows what our liberal rulers will see fit to take away from us next?

Neil Young's Moonbatmobile Sets Warehouse on Fire

Lefty politics has been good to Neil Young, providing the Canadian denouncer of the "Southern Man" with a large fan base. But even for the guy who called for impeaching President Bush over the War on Terror, there is a down side to moonbattery:

The three-alarm blaze that caused $1.1 million in damage to a warehouse filled with rock legend Neil Young's music equipment and memorabilia appears to have started in a one-of-a-kind hybrid car stored at the site, a fire official said Monday.
Flames began in a 1959 Lincoln Continental dubbed LincVolt, which runs on electric batteries and a biodiesel-powered generator, and then spread to the warehouse at 593 Quarry Road in the early morning of Nov. 9, according to Belmont-San Carlos Fire Marshal Jim Palisi and a website devoted to the car.
Young assembled a team of workers in 2008 to convert the 19.5-foot behemoth from gasoline to hybrid power, an effort he chronicled in a four-part film series.

When the eco-righteous vehicle set off the conflagration,

The music legend had just returned from an appearance at the Specialty Equipment Market Association car show in Las Vegas, where he delivered a talk on the hybrid.
"I love my car," he told the audience.

For the sake of the polar bears, I sure hope the fire didn't produce any carbon.

Homosexual Coffins

Apparently no aspect of Western culture is impervious to the in-your-face tastelessness of the homosexual movement. Imagine dragging yourself through the grim task of selecting a casket for a lost loved one and being confronted with this:

Funeral directors in Germany are bidding for the pink pound — by launching coffins specially designed for gay customers.
The caskets feature homoerotic artwork on the outside and come with a series of tastefully luxurious plush designer interiors, say makers Mike Konigsfeld and Tom Brandl in Cologne, Germany.
The designers — who have lived together for more than 10 years — say the images of muscular young men in classical poses are the perfect way to send off a loved one.

Socialist Calls for Violence

Incredible as it might seem in light of the well over 100 million people killed by their own socialist governments in the 20th Century, there are still those willing to call themselves socialists — and as far as they're concerned, the violence is just getting started. The Party for Socialism and Liberation held a National Conference on Socialism in Los Angeles over the weekend. Via The Blaze, here's some audio:

This quote sums up the socialist mentality:

"If you can't open their minds, open their heads."

It's hardly surprising to hear a socialist declare that "obviously the Tea Party is awful." The peaceful, liberty-loving Tea Party represents the diametric opposite of socialism. Muslims May Escape Intrusive Screening Procedures

Nuns who don't want to pose naked for sniggering bureaucrats are left with the option of a public groping, but the Muslims who instigate this insanity with their terror attacks can't be expected to endure such indignities. They're special, after all.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has issued a travel warning to Muslim airline passengers on U.S. aircraft in response to the Transportation Safety Administration's "enhanced pat down" policy that went into effect in late October.
CAIR said Muslims who object to full-body scans for religious reasons should know their rights if they are required to undergo a pat-down, including asking for the procedure to be done in a private place. In addition, CAIR offered a "special recommendation" for Muslim women who wear a hijab, telling them they should tell the TSA officer that they may be searched only around the head and neck.
In the "special recommendations for Muslim women who wear hijab," it states: "Before you are patted down, you should remind the TSA officer that they are only supposed to pat down the area in question, in this scenario, your head and neck. They SHOULD NOT subject you to a full-body or partial-body pat-down."
It also states: "Instead of the pat-down, you can always request to pat down your own scarf, including head and neck area, and have the officers perform a chemical swipe of your hands."

CAIR, the Islamic version of the ACLU, is like virtually everything Islamic closely affiliated with terrorists, who often include Muslim women.

California Court Dictates In-State Tuition for Illegal Aliens

Civil rights groups, university officials and undocumented students themselves applauded the ruling, which may impact thousands of people living in the United States illegally who apply to California colleges each year. …
At UC, state residents pay $11,300 in tuition a year; nonresidents pay $34,000.

Illegal aliens, who are already costing the state much more than it can afford, will pay the lower rate. The cherry on top is the fact that getting admitted is much easier if you aren't Caucasian.

Massive Taxpayer Payoff to Gitmo Terrorists

Only the most bloodthirsty Islamic maniacs earn the honor of a stay at Guantanamo Bay. Unfortunately for the terrorists, even the most well-earned vacation can't last forever. Fattened up on gourmet halal meals, some have had to return to the daily grind of murdering the innocent. But at least the British government is mitigating the disappointment with massive handouts of taxpayer money:

Around a dozen men who accused British security forces of colluding in their transfer overseas are to get millions in compensation from the UK government.
Some of the men, who are all British citizens or residents, were detained at the Guantanamo Bay prison camp in Cuba.
At least six of them alleged UK forces were complicit in their torture before they arrived at Guantanamo.

Only six of them? The rest must not have read the al Qaeda manual that instructs all captured terrorists to pretend they've been tortured. As the enemy well knows, our own sanctimonious liberal idiocy is their most effective weapon against us.

Odds that the terrorists really were tortured in any genuine sense are remote. However…

In May, the Court of Appeal ruled that the government could not rely on secret evidence to defend itself against the six cases, saying allegations of wrongdoing had to be heard in public.

Therefore the government has to pay off the terrorists to avoid assisting their cause by releasing secret information to the public.

Once again we see that Islam is only an opportunistic infection. The underlying disease that makes us vulnerable to it is moonbattery.

Bureaucrats Warn Against Drinking Out of Toilets

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:29 AM

Being predominantly liberals, our rulers know that we're no more intelligent than dogs, so it's their responsibility to use our money to protect us from ourselves. For example, in suburban Phoenix, bureauweenies have posted signs warning us not to drink out of toilets:

Chandler's new City Hall comes with some features that have municipal workers and visitors scratching their heads. Like the restroom signs that tell people not to drink out of the urinals and toilets.

Here's why you shouldn't:

The environmentally-friendly five-story building uses recycled gray water from its cooling system to flush the urinals and toilets. … City spokesman Craig Younger said the city had to get a building code variance not to color the reused water and post the signs instead.

The moonbattery doesn't stop there:

Workers also are getting used to the building's energy-saving "light harvesting system." It's set up with light and motion sensors so if there's enough illumination from the sun or if offices and meeting rooms are empty they shut off. Marian Norris, assistant to the city manager, said the motion detector shutoffs save energy by extinguishing lights when workers leave their offices and forget to flip the switch. But crews are adjusting the system because it has been shutting off lights when people are working but are too still. That happened during a recent City Council subcommittee meeting that prompted one official to jump out of his chair and walk briskly around the table just to bring the lights back.

Let's hope he didn't walk too briskly. Hyperventilating results in excessive CO2 emissions that might counter the beneficial effects on the polar bears of the lights going off during meetings.

But is it okay if we gnaw on the urinal cakes?

Eurocrats Arrogantly Waste Mountains of Other People's Money

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:43 AM

If it's any consolation, America isn't the only country ruled by arrogant and dissolute leftists who waste taxpayer money with astonishing frivolity:

Millions of pounds of EU funds have been squandered on projects including a hydrotherapy centre for dogs and sending a troupe round Britain to perform the Smelly Foot Dance.
Taxpayers' cash has also gone to a 'hip-hop laboratory' in Lyon, France, to address the 'lack of co-operation in European hip-hop'.
The details were revealed [last week] by the think-tank Open Europe, a day after auditors refused to give the EU's accounts a clean bill of health for the 16th year in a row.

Among many examples of flagrant waste:

The EU's Rural Development Fund paid out the huge sum [of £350,000] for a project to 'improve the lifestyle and living standards of dogs' — which included the development of a hydrotherapy system for dogs. More than a year on, building has yet to start.
Some £4.5m went on a fleet of limousines for European MPs in Strasbourg in 2009 alone. All chauffeurs at the company used must sign a confidentiality clause 'guaranteeing absolute discretion'.

Why the concern with discretion? If Europeans haven't rebelled against their liberal elite ruling class by now, learning that they pay their bureaucratic masters to visit brothels isn't liable to set them off.

Moonbat Justice

Posted by Dave Blount at 7:50 AM

This farce is what passes for justice under government of, by, and for moonbats:

David Weaving, who is serving a manslaughter sentence for striking and killing a 14-year-old boy with his car, is suing the victim's parents, accusing them of being responsible for their son's death because they allowed the boy to ride his bike in the street without a helmet.
Weaving was carelessly passing another car at about 83 mph in a 45-mph zone when his car struck Matthew Kenney in the Waterbury suburb of Prospect, about 30 miles outside of Hartford, Conn., on April, 27, 2007.

Weaving wants the parents to compensate him for having endured "great mental and emotional pain and suffering" as a result of being blamed for their crime of not making the boy he killed wear a helmet, as well as for the loss of his "capacity to carry on in life's activities" — such as driving drunk, for which he has been convicted multiple times.

Even if our legal system is still sane enough not to find in Weaver's favor, Matthew's parents will still have to pay lawyers a fortune to defend them from this absurd insult. Weaver on the other hand is a convicted criminal, so he gets everything for free. A judge even waived the $500 fee you or I would have to pay to file a claim.

Nonliberals are going to have to start going into law before it gets any crazier.

Matthew Kenney, RIP.

Moonbat Education

Even as civilization decomposes into moonbattery, at least we still have education:

A cultivation school for aspiring medical marijuana growers is drawing students, despite the recent failure of Proposition 19 and federal law that still regards the drug as illegal.
The Cannabis Training University, held in a Sacramento hotel, cost [sic] $250 for two days of instruction into the world of growing marijuana legally — "legal" in the eyes of the state, of course.

If you'd like to attend but you blew all your money on weed, no need to worry — Comrade Obama has seized control of the student loan industry.

King George III Was Less Tyrannical Than Obama

Posted by Dave Blount at 5:00 PM

Americans took on the greatest military power in the world because they had too much character to endure the oppressive rule of the British King. Yet King George III was less repressive than the rulers we have now. For example, he admitted that the government has no right to force citizens to buy certain products, as ObamaCare forces us to buy health insurance.

If the British Empire were still around, the Founding Fathers would have preferred it to the soft tyranny of liberal statism oppressing us today.

Muslim Maniac Gets Pricey Renovations Courtesy of Taxpayers

Posted by Dave Blount at 11:04 AM

Abu Hamza has managed to get himself thrown in jail by whipping up his fellow Religion of Peaceniks to kill Britons. When he gets out, he'll find his welfare mansion nicely spruced up — courtesy of British taxpayers:

Hate preacher Abu Hamza's family home is having a £40,000 makeover paid for by taxpayers, the Daily Mail can reveal.
Workmen from at least three construction firms have already spent two months doing up the £700,000, five-bedroom council property in an exclusive West London street.
Astonishingly, it is the second time in only five years that council bosses have approved expensive renovations on the property where the hook-handed cleric's wife and eight children live supported by benefits worth nearly £700 a week.

Hamza's bloodsucking future terrorist offspring are growing up in a classy neighborhood.

Hamza's family live in the only council property in the street in Shepherd's Bush, an area popular with bankers and City lawyers.
Former Cabinet Minister John Hutton lived next door to the cleric's family before putting his property on the market for £1million in June 2007.

Hamza isn't British. But under the dhimmi moonbats who run what's left of Europe, there's not much chance of ever getting rid of him.

On his release, the cleric cannot be deported to his country of birth, Egypt, after a court last week allowed him to keep his British passport, to protect his human rights.
If he also wins his fight against extradition, which is due at the European Court of Human Rights in months, ministers will have no choice but to allow him to live in Britain.
All the Hamza children are British-born, meaning they are entitled to support from the state, which would continue even if Hamza is extradited.

The British face a clear choice: rebel against liberalism, or continue to die an ignominious death.

The charming Abu Hamza exploits British moonbattery.

Kids Busted for Engaging in Capitalism

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:05 AM

Our collectivist rulers still have some work to do if they are going to root out the last remnants of the entrepreneurial spirit that built the country they are currently looting and dismantling. Right in the adopted home of a carpetbagging socialist Senator who went on to become Secretary of State, children were caught engaging in activities motivated by profit:

A politician in a New York suburb called police on two 13-year-old boys for selling cupcakes and other baked goods without a permit, according to a report Monday.
The Journal News in Westchester County said the boys, Andrew DeMarchis and Kevin Graff, had a brisk business selling cupcakes, cookies, brownies and Rice Krispie treats for $1 each in a Chappaqua park.
However, New Castle [which includes Chappaqua] Councilman Michael Wolfensohn called the police after discovering the sale was not for charity, the newspaper said.
Kevin's mother, Laura Graff, said the teens were "good kids" who were scared by the police call.
"I am shocked and sad for the boys. It was such a great idea, and they worked hard at it," Laura Graff, Kevin's mother, told The Journal News. "But then some Town Board member decided to get on his high horse and wreck their dreams."
DeMarchis, Graff and two other friends, Zachary Bass and Daniel Katz, had hoped they would make enough money to open a restaurant, the paper said, adding that they made $120 on their first day.

The restaurant dream came crashing down when the kids were busted for selling on town property without a license, which costs up to $350 for two hours. Also, they'd better have a $1 million insurance certificate before they pull anything like this again.

Let this be a lesson to any kids who think wealth is to be created, rather than redistributed by bureaucrats — and don't try selling lemonade either.

Alleged Slap Leads to 40 Pages of Demands

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:08 AM

Careful, white teachers. Don't let yourself be accused of striking misbehaving children of more privileged pigmentation in the Age of Obama. The result could be a staggering list of demands — like the one Lisa Henry Bowen presented to various public officials including the Moonbat Messiah, Joke Biden, and their wives after her darling Curtis was allegedly slapped. Via The Pitch:

She claims that [a teacher identified as Ms.] Curry slapped 1/4 of Curtis' "million dollar face." Therefore, Lisa Henry encloses a homemade bill for a quarter of a million dollars. The $250K bill is issued to five educational entities, so she's really demanding more than $1 million.

But that's only the beginning…

Curtis shall receive, among many other things: $13,500 worth of Wal-Mart gift cards, a free college education, two trips to Disney World, nine years of private tennis lessons on the Plaza, season tickets to the opera, theater, and ballet, almost a decade's worth of psychological counseling by "the best black child psychologist in the country," a whole orchestra's worth of new musical instruments, a three-week trip to Africa at a five-star hotel, and a personal audience with President Obama.
Lisa Henry's demands are just as WTF-worthy. She demands the full payment of her mortgage, a new car, home remodeling, free psychological, dental, and medical care for the next nine years, and the cherry on the sundae:
Independent consulting contract position with the Kansas City Missouri School district, for the next nine years. My consulting fee begins at $15,000 per month, minimum 6 months contract.
Because nothing screams "hire me" like a maniacal 40-page threat.

An excerpt from the rant:

There was a time, in THIS AMERICA, when a white woman could get away with slapping black children around. There was a time, in THIS AMERICA, when a black woman had no choice, but to accept her children being slapped, whipped, rapped, abused, molested and psychologically tortured by this white supremacist society… There WAS a time. I AIN'T THAT BLACK MOTHER, THIS AIN'T THAT TIME!!!!!! THIS AIN'T THAT AMERICA!!!!!!!!

No, this is the America where moochers, bullies, riffraff, and lunatics line up with their hands out.

If he's anything like his mom, Curtis probably had it coming.

In the meantime, we can look back and laugh at the 70s, when the same sort of people were telling us that only submission to Big Government could save us from an onrushing ice age.

Even then they were hedging their bets, the way they do now by saying "climate change" instead of global warming. Here's a sample from UPI:

"At the recent meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science… the consensus seemed to be that, rather than experience either a warming trend or a cooling trend, we shall have both. Although not at the same time, fortunately."

Another Moonbat Moves by Bicycle

Posted by Dave Blount at 7:22 AM

The ecomoonbat practice of moving by bicycle is catching on:

DAVIS, CA — Bicycle advocate Robb Davis and blogger at Traveling at the Speed of Bike recently moved to a new place of residence in the city of Davis using only bicycles.
"Our family has not owned a car for nearly 8 years and we try to do all we can to lower our carbon footprint. Moving by bike was merely a natural extension of that commitment," Davis said.
Davis says that his family were one of the first in the area to really try a "bike move".
"I asked people who helped us why they were helping and one person said that he thought a bike move might be kind of like a 'gimmick'," Davis said. "But once he saw it, he realized it could be as efficient as a move with a U-Haul."

Plus the polar bears really appreciate it.

"We have moved over 20 times and this was the first time I can remember in which nothing broke," Davis said.

111 ObamaCare Waivers for Our Rulers' Closest Friends

It's still possible to do business under the form of government Mussolini called fascism and we call crony capitalism or Obamunism. You just have to know the right people. Gingerbread Man Escapes Sexual Reassignment

Just as the Three Little Pigs have fallen victim to political correctness, so has the Gingerbread Man.

In the nursery rhyme, the Gingerbread Man fled from the clutches of an old woman and her husband.
But now he has been cornered by an even more unforgiving foe — political correctness.
Council bureaucrats have stripped gingerbread men of their gender and renamed them gingerbread 'persons' on menus for 400 primary schools.

Fortunately the public complained loudly enough to give the fairy tale a happy ending… for now.

The outcry has since forced officials into an embarrassing U-turn.
They now claim renaming the biscuits was a mistake and that their gender will be reinstated as soon as possible.

Moonbats have tried before to emasculate the Gingerbread Man. No doubt they will try again, as soon as the public's back is turned.

Old Glory Banned From California Middle School

Moonbat educrats celebrated Veterans Day a few days early in Denair, California — by banning the American flag:

13-year-old Cody Alicea rides with an American flag on the back of his bike. He says he does this to be patriotic and to honor veterans, like his own grandfather, Robert. He's had the flag on his bike for two months but Monday, was asked told to take it down.
A school official at Denair Middle School told Cody some students had been complaining about the flag and it was no longer allowed on school property. …
Cody's grandfather says the school was concerned about racial tensions or uprisings because of the flag. He feels if there was really a problem it should have been brought up two months ago, not during Veterans week.

The Cuddly Commie Club

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:32 AM

Mark your calendars, moonbats. On the 15th, a 35th anniversary celebration will be held by the Brecht Forum, a club for communists in NYC's insufferably trendoid Greenwich Village. It's extolled in a nauseating puff piece in the NY Times:

If communists have a reputation for anything, it is seriousness. (And if you have seen old photos of Karl Marx, you know that he did not smile much.) But at the Brecht Forum, a community center on West Street where revolutionaries and radicals gather daily to ponder and to pontificate, they also play. (Smiles abound.)
Amid the honeycomb of offices and hidden rooms on the ground floor of a shabby brick building facing the Hudson River, activists and agitators unite for classes like "Antonio Gramsci: Revolutionary Strategy and the Historic Bloc" and talks like "Envisioning a Post-Capitalist Future." Networks of pipes snaking along the ceiling and glimpses of exposed brick give the space a slightly industrial feel, which seems fitting for discussions on labor theory and worker exploitation.
But there is also the monthly Game Night, when regulars put down their copies of "Das Kapital" and immerse themselves in table tennis, foosball and a complicated Marxist version of Monopoly called, appropriately, Class Struggle.
In a city known for cynicism, the Brecht, which survives on donations, is a surprisingly open and idealistic place.
"We have folks who are superfamous, along with folks who are homeless," said Kazembe Balagun, 34, outreach director of the forum for the past three years. A big, bearded, bespectacled man, Mr. Balagun (born Keith Alexander Mitchell) manages to be both bashful and effusive as he greets visitors in his sunny way. He is a child of mainline Democrats, but Mr. Balagun said he was attracted to Marxism because it offered "a way to understand the world, and understand how the world could be different."

The Times writer had a wonderful time learning about how much Marxists love the children, leaving when the commies sat down to play poker.

While Mr. Balagun waved me out the front door, I imagined Marx's ghost floating in the hazy light of the evening, watching over the poker players. Behind his famous thicket of a beard, I could almost see a grin.

In the name of Marx's psychotic ideology, governments killed over 100 million of their own subjects in the course of the 20th century. But still, communism is so cuddly and nice, maybe we ought to try it here. Unfortunately, not all the people who would like to are busy playing with themselves in pathetic rat holes like the Brecht Forum. Some publish powerful newspapers.

Amazon Pulls Pedophile Book, HuffPo Libs Lament

Posted by Dave Blount at 7:47 AM

Amazon has finally pulled down from Kindle The Pedophile's Guide to Love & Pleasure: A Child-Lover's Code of Conduct by a pervert named Phillip R. Greaves, 2nd. The author's product description, via Geekologie:

This is my attempt to make pedophile situations safer for those juveniles that find themselves involved in them, by establishing certian [sic] rules for these adults to follow. I hope to achieve this by appealing to the better nature of pedosexuals, with hope that their doing so will result in less hatred and perhaps liter [sic] sentences should they ever be caught.

It appears to be a how-to manual for raping children nicely. Amazon's reaction when customers began to scream in outrage was typical liberal sanctimony:

Amazon believes it is censorship not to sell certain books simply because we or others believe their message is objectionable. Amazon does not support or promote hatred or criminal acts, however, we do support the right of every individual to make their own purchasing decisions.

So long as no one says anything politically incorrect, there is no right and wrong. You may find it objectionable, but in the name of tolerance quack quack quack…

However, Amazon's principles quickly went out the window when it became clear this would become a public relations nightmare. The book was pulled to the relief of decent Americans — and to the outrage of creepazoids infesting the largest liberal blog, The Huffington Post. Sample comments, gathered by Air2air:

babybecks: Thought police coming through…
trojoe: Dont like it? Don't buy it. Pretty simple.
indred : If they pull this book, it could become a habit where amazon will no longer be neutral and have to pull books that people don't like or agree with.
The Skeptical One: Pedophilia is defined as a sexual *attraction* to children, NOT as the practice of having sex with children. This is an important difference, because you cannot control who you are attracted to. Pedophiles are not sick monsters who go around raping children left and right, they are human beings who have, unfortunately, been afflicted with a desire for children. I would go out on a limb and say that the vast majority of pedophiles never act on, or even express, their sexual attraction. It is unfortunate that this is so, because it is possible that through counseling their lives could be made easier. Keep in mind, however, that the urge to have sex with children is not evil, the actual ACT is. There exists no such thing as an evil thought.
babybecks: There are also now calls to ban 100 other items including The Color Purple and Lolita.
asiclilpup: Such hoopla over a bagger's autobiography.
facepalm12: Let me know if you want to go find and burn some witches later (And by witches I mean anyone who has read material that I find offensive).
babybecks: Hysteria at its finest…
gulopartisan: You can't advocate killing the President or encourage the overthrow of the government unless you are a RW loon like Glenn Beck, Sharon Angle, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman… or a sociopathic thug like Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage….
facepalm12: Why censor this book?
babybecks: …is reading it going to turn you into a pedophile? No. Is reading it going to make you a better pedophile? I doubt it. Is censoring it going to make kids safer from pedophiles? even more doubtful.
asiclilpup: This is just the morality police yelling and screaming about something they don't like. Leave the book alone. 99% of the population isn't going to read it, and among those who do, the vast majority will never actually molest a child, and those who do were going to do so before the book.
babybecks: You don't have to spend your money there if you don't want to. Ain't America great like that?
MJVs Common Sense: Get off the moral high horse, and stop pretending you are any higher and mightier than the rest of the world.

Even at HuffPo, voices of sanity can be heard among the squeaks of the moonbats:

AmigaMan: I can't believe HuffPost is screening this page. You people are starting to really make me ill. What's the matter? Someone might say something you don't agree with against child molesters? :-/
scud420: The first time ever thinking this, but I really feel disgusted to call myself a progressive. If being a progressive means defending the right to help someone get away with one of the worst crimes imaginable, call me a new independent because I think this should be an exception to the first amendment rule.

Apparently not all progressives have the belly to "progress" to the next stage of "tolerance." It's been said here before that mainstreaming pedophilia will be the next jihad in the culture war after liberals have normalized homosexuality to their satisfaction. You don't have to wait and see; it's already beginning to happen.

Cutting "voluntary" funding from the United Nations would trim $300 million off the federal deficit by 2015, according to a draft report from the president's National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform.
"According to the Office of Management and Budget, the United States provided over $6.3 billion in taxpayer funds to the United Nations in FY2009. Less than half ($2.7 billion) of that total went to 'assessed' dues — payments that the United States is charged for being a member and for its share of peacekeeping operations around the world," the draft report says.
"The United States is by far the largest donor to the United Nations in terms of assessed dues," the draft continued. "However, the United States gives the United Nations more than $3.5 billion in 'voluntary' funds each year. This option allows the United States to remain a member in good standing of the United Nations by contributing the full dues that will be assessed, but reduces voluntary payments by 10 percent, which will save $300 million per year."

Here's a better idea: cut all funds to this corrupt and hostile institution, and save us the full $6.3 billion. That Americans are forced by their own government to give money to their enemies even as debt steadily crushes the economy is intolerable.

Obama's Devotion to Trinity United Explained

Posted by Dave Blount at 11:48 AM

Why did Barack Hussein Obama attend Jeremiah Wright's depraved church of race hatred for so long? Robin of Berkeley has a possible psychological explanation — to purge himself of whiteness:

For his adult mentor, Obama picked Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Then Pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Wright is a fan of Black Liberation Theology. BLT teaches that blacks are God's Chosen People, with whites inferior and wicked. Its founder, James Cone, has described the goals of BLT this way:
"…complete emancipation of black people from white oppression by whatever means black people deem necessary… Theologically, Malcolm X was not far wrong when he called the white man 'the devil.'"
By choosing this church over all others, Obama made a pivotal life decision. For seventeen years, Obama sat in the pews of Trinity consuming the vitriol of racial hate. In one sermon after another, Rev. Jeremiah Wright invoked the specters of slavery and Jim Crow, resurrecting a war that, for him, had never ended.
In his autobiography, Obama lets slip a fascination with something that the biracial Malcolm X once said. Malcolm was so repulsed by his white ancestry that he daydreamed about draining the white blood from his body.
One must wonder: by Obama's choosing Trinity, a church where his own mother wouldn't have been welcome, was he trying to exorcise the evil white spirit in him? And by joining that church, did he finally leave his repugnant white side behind at Trinity's door?

Having purged himself, he can now avenge the misdeeds — real and imaginary — of people who died long ago.

Consequently, the Department of Justice drops all charges against the new generation of domestic terrorists, the New Black Panthers, who verbalize their desire to kill "cracker babies."
The DOJ turns a blind eye toward egregious acts of injustice towards whites. The Feds will even go so far as suing Arizona and threatening other states should they not toe the party line of importing as many people of color as possible.
When Obama tells black voters that he's freeing them from slavery, this is not hyperbole; he means it. But he's not referring to liberal politics that has only decimated the black culture.
Obama means this: he will put the final nail in the coffin of American exceptionalism. He will end the Civil War. And he will do it his way: by trying to break the backs and the spirits of the white oppressors.

Sure it's crazy. But race-obsessed leftists believe in this stuff.

He wants us to suffer. That's why there's an impish gleam in his eye when he consigns Republicans to the back of the bus.
For Obama, the change has come. But it's not prosperity. It's not uniting us as one people, Americans, under God.
It's the chickens coming home to roost. It's this: we're finally firmly and, in his mind, deservingly, under his thumb.

Why would any informed white person vote for this malignant kook? There the psychopathology gets really twisted.

How Many Illegals?

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:43 AM

Just how many illegal aliens are already in America, laying down anchor babies as they confidently await amnesty, special privileges, and generations of unaffordable entitlements? The media keeps floating the arbitrary figure of 12 million. Propagandists in the bureaucratic farce calling itself the DHS would like us to believe it's 10.8 million. That would be the equivalent of trying to absorb an entire nation of unskilled, unassimilating scofflaws. Yet the real number is much worse:

For many years, the number of apprehensions at the border averaged about one million.
When you then use the very conservative estimate that at least three times that many got away, over 22 years, along with all of the people who never return home after their visa has expired, you get a much different number [from governmedia estimates].
Using the Border Patrol's own data and considering the relative ease with which drug smugglers and illegal aliens make multiple crossings into this country, the more realistic number is much closer to 50-60 million.

That's enough, Democrats hope, to permanently disfigure the American electorate and tip the country into authoritarian collectivism. If you don't want to live in Mexico North, you'd better keep quiet about it, lest someone scream that you're a racist.

Comrade Obama Honors Veterans

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:45 AM

On Veterans Day, it's appropriate to offer kudos to Obama for overcoming his reflexive anti-Americanism long enough to honor veterans "who have sacrificed on behalf of this great country."

Oh wait, he was referring to Indonesia.

"When my stepfather was a boy, he watched his own father and older brother leave home to fight and die in the struggle for Indonesian independence," Obama told the audience.
And the White House wonders why so many people think there is something foreign about this guy.

At least he didn't bring up his uncle who fought in the Soviet Red Army.

Guardian Moonbat Plots to Escape the Tyranny of Marriage

Posted by Dave Blount at 8:42 AM

Liberal establishmentarian Lara Pawson of The Guardian has found herself trapped in the heteronormative bourgeois tyranny of marriage. Fortunately for the cause of moonbat liberation, she knows a way to escape:

I want to divorce the man I love and he wants to divorce me. We do not wish to separate — simply to end our seven-year marriage. …we would prefer "to secure official status for our relationship in a way that supports the call for complete equality and is free of the negative, sexist connotations of marriage". We are both fed up with being part of the hetero-husband-and-wife brigade that is accorded so much status and privilege.

Pawson finds that wives are oppressed.

Before we even tied the proverbial knot, I became swiftly aware of discrimination against wives.

But as oppressed though wives are, the real problem is that they are privileged.

…the point I wish to make here concerns the privileges accorded to the wedded heterosexual couple. When you marry, you gain a certain unspoken gravitas, as though society heaves a collective sigh of relief: "Thank God they've grown up." … Being married pulls you into a new elite. It lends you an air of stability and reliability that singles and divorcees are denied. We assume that those who are unmarried probably have something just a teeny bit wrong with them because they have never managed to persuade another to settle down into that cosy unit of coupledom. This is the smug tyranny of husbands and wives.

The only way to smash this tyranny is by divorce. In any case, Pawson and her unfortunate spouse may have no choice, because

one of the more recent vows we made to each other was to promise to divorce if the Tories introduce a tax break for married couples. We want no part of that.

If marriage is tyranny, there is no word to describe the oppressive abomination of marriage with lower taxes on top.

What's needed is for posturing goofballs like Flawson to unite:

If there are enough of us, we could start fighting for the right to exchange our marriage certificates for civil partnerships. This would be a step forward in the battle against what Peter Tatchell has described as a form of "sexual apartheid in law".

To the barricades, righteous moonbat revolutionaries! You have nothing to lose but your wedding rings!

Soros-Funded Fanatics Call on Obama to Rule by Executive Order

Posted by Dave Blount at 3:48 PM

You have to hand it to moonbats — it isn't easy to spin the trouncing they received last week into a victory for progressives:

It was progressives who won the mid-term elections, particularly incumbents in a socialist-founded congressional caucus that emerged from last week's ballots virtually unscathed, boasted an article published by the George Soros-funded Institute for Policy Studies, a Marxist-oriented think-tank in Washington, D.C.

If progressives were reelected, it's only because they represent the safest of safe districts for Democrats: blighted zones from which constructive people interested in working for a living have escaped, or regions like Raul Grijalva's district in southern Arizona that have effectively been annexed by Mexico. Yet somehow Soros's henchmoonbats derive from the record-setting spanking Dems received a mandate to ram through Obama's hard left agenda:

"Progressives won in the 2010 mid-term elections," wrote Karen Dolan, a fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies, or IPS, and director of the Cities for Progress and Cities for Peace projects based at the radical organization.
"The Congressional Progressive Caucus, the largest caucus in the House Democratic Caucus at over 80 members, emerged virtually unscathed, losing only three members," she wrote, in the piece published on the IPS website.

In contrast, Blue Dogs were routed — precisely because they represent districts requiring some level of appeal to normal Americans.

Now this is starting to make sense:

"The veil of a happy Democratic governing majority is finally lifted. We didn't have it then; We don't have it now. But what we do have now is a more solidly progressive bunch of Dems in Congress and a president presumably less encumbered by the false illusion that playing nice will get him a date with the other team."
She went on to recommend that progressives "throw our support unabashedly behind the Congressional Progressive Caucus, and let's push Obama to finally do the right thing through as many Executive Orders as we can present to him."

In short, they are calling on Obama to openly disregard the will of the American people by circumventing Congress, in effect declaring himself dictator. It certainly wouldn't be inconsistent with the arrogance he displayed in his first two years, and it is the only way he will continue to advance his disastrous agenda if Republicans in Congress have any spine at all.

We'll know this is still America if he doesn't get away with it.

Michael Bloomberg Launches War on Soup

Posted by Dave Blount at 1:38 PM

Ground Zero mosque advocate and NYC Mayor for Life Michael Bloomberg has turned his sanctimonious anti-food jihad against soup:

Mayor Bloomberg's latest health campaign — cutting salt intake — has targeted soup as one of the big sodium offenders to be taken down with new city ads.
The ads, which will be plastered on subways for the next two months, feature a half-opened can of soup with a geyser of salt spewing from the top and forming a heap around the can. …
An admitted fan of dumping salt on his own food, Bloomberg said the biggest culprits behind high-salt diets are the food processors that include copious amounts of sodium in canned soup and other prepared foods.

Guess who's paying for this nanny state nonsense? You are:

The campaign costs $370,000 — $130,000 of which comes from city taxpayers. The rest is covered by the federal government, a city Department of Health spokeswoman said.

Just as CO2 is required by plants, salt is an essential nutrient for people. That our moonbat rulers have convinced the pathologically gullible (i.e., other liberals) that ubiquitous and necessary elements of everyday life are public menaces is testimony both to their propaganda powers and to their stark raving insanity.

White House Used Fraud to Suppress Gulf Drilling

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:59 AM

The Obamination Administration was willing to stoop to new depths to keep its "boot on the neck" of the oil industry that is so crucial to the economy of Gulf states and America in general:

The Interior Department's inspector general says the White House edited a drilling safety report in a way that made it falsely appear that scientists and experts supported the idea of the administration's six-month ban on new drilling.
The inspector general says the editing changes resulted "in the implication that the moratorium recommendation had been peer reviewed." But it hadn't been. The scientists were only asked to review new safety measures for offshore drilling.
…Louisiana Rep. Bill Cassidy, a Republican, said in a statement that the investigation proved "that the blanket drilling moratorium was driven by a politics and not by science."
"Candidate Obama promised that he would be guided by science, not ideology," Cassidy said. Cassidy said if that were true thousands of jobs and billions in economic activity would have been preserved on the Gulf coast.

Obama also said he would make energy prices skyrocket. At least that's one campaign promise he's trying to live up to.

Call to Investigate Google Ties to Obama Administration

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:04 AM

In case you're looking for yet another reason not to trust the leftist ideologues running Google:

The National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC), a group that advocates for a smaller and more ethical government, wrote to leaders of the House Oversight Committee this month urging them to investigate a major privacy breach by Google. It wants to know if the company's ties to the administration helped it dodge penalties after the incident. …
After Google admitted last month that it collected and stored private user information, including passwords and entire e-mails, from Wi-Fi networks, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) closed an inquiry into the issue, citing promises from the company that it would improve its privacy practices.

How is this for a coincidence:

"There is another deeply disturbing aspect to the FTC's decision," Kenneth Boehm, the NLPC chairman, writes in the letter to Capitol Hill. "Less than a week before Google's announcement, President Obama went to the home of Google executive Marissa Mayer for a $30,000-per-person Democratic Party fundraiser."

It helps to have friends in high places. Just ask the New Black Panthers.

The group also urges a look at Google's ties to the administration more generally, pointing to what it calls "a growing body of evidence" that shows the administration's "unusually close relationship with Google has resulted in favoritism towards the company on federal policy issues."

We've all heard about the revolving door between the Obamination Administration and the crony capitalists at Goldman Sachs. Apparently there's another leading to Google:

Boehm mounted six pages of evidence arguing that Google is too close to the Obama administration, including the fact that Andrew McLaughlin, a former Google employee, is now the U.S. deputy chief technology officer.

The new Republican Congress will be in for some long hours, given all the investigations the past two years of malfeasance cry out for.

2012 Looking Still Worse for Dems

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:09 AM

Democrats are advised to line up their psychiatric counselors, because even if they thought the 2010 election was bad, they ain't seen nothing yet:

Last week's election was bad for Democrats. The next one could be worse. Senate Democrats running in 2012 will be trying to hold their jobs in states where Republicans just scored major congressional and gubernatorial victories — Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, New Mexico and Virginia.
The Democrats' problems don't end with senators.
President Barack Obama carried those states in 2008, and he will need most of them to win re-election in two years. But this time they all will have Republican governors. These GOP governors can try to inhibit the president's policies and campaign operations. They also can help steer next year's once-a-decade House redistricting process in the GOP's favor.
Moreover, Democrats must defend Senate seats in hotly contested Missouri, and in four states that Obama has little chance of winning, assuming he even tries: North Dakota, Nebraska, West Virginia and Montana. …
The 2012 Senate map is much kinder to Republicans, who must defend 10 seats to the Democrats' 23. Except for Republican Sen. Scott Brown, who will fight an uphill re-election battle in Massachusetts, the GOP probably will be favored to keep the Senate seats it now holds. …
In the new Congress in January, Democrats will hold a 53-47 edge in the Senate. A mere handful of losses in the next election would put Republicans in control.

By 2012, it's a good bet that hyperinflation will have kicked in, relegating anyone still supporting Obama and his policies to lunatic status. The boy who runs like a duck is a lame duck if Republicans hold firm in the House and Dems in the Senate learn their lesson about following radicals off the edge of a cliff. Then in two years the whole Hopey Changey nightmare will be over, and we can spend the next few decades trying to repair the damage.

Obama's Nanny Was a Tranny

Posted by Dave Blount at 8:08 AM

Just when it seems impossible that any more unsavory characters could be found in the Manchurian Moonbat's shrouded background, we learn this:

His nanny was an openly gay man who, in keeping with Indonesia's relaxed attitudes toward homosexuality, carried on an affair with a local butcher, longtime residents said. The nanny later joined a group of transvestites called Fantastic Dolls, who, like the many transvestites who remain fixtures of Jakarta's streetscape, entertained people by dancing and playing volleyball.

It is also revealed that pudgy young Barry was referred to by his Indonesian classmates as the "boy who runs like a duck." From there he went on to become known as the "weenie who throws like a girl."

But don't blame Obama for falling substantially short of what we would expect of a leader. From birth he was surrounded by communists, America-haters, hippies, black supremacists, terrorists, and freaks. From the liberal point of view, he's no more responsible than a criminal from a broken home.

In Edmonton, Being White Is Now a Hate Crime

Posted by Dave Blount at 4:04 PM

What happens if America doesn't forcefully reject moonbattery? It will continue degenerating into Canada. Here's an example of what that means:

Controversy is brewing over a city-sponsored anti-racism campaign that calls on Caucasians to recognize their "white privilege". …
The City of Edmonton and 13 Edmonton organizations — including the Edmonton Police Service, Alberta Human Rights Commission and Edmonton Catholic Schools — are behind the Racism-Free Edmonton campaign.

By using "Racism-Free" to describe a campaign targeting whites for demonization, liberals reveal once again that they have been using George Orwell's 1984 as an instruction manual.

On the campaign's website,, under the "What can you do to stop racism" heading, the first line reads "acknowledge your white privilege."

The phrase "white privilege" roughly translates to "open season on Whitey." The point is to reduce Caucasians to second-class citizens in their own countries, and after taking away what they have built and earned, "spread the wealth around" so that white liberals can wallow in the festering self-hatred that they are depraved enough to mistake for moral righteousness.

Since her death, a pancake breakfast was held in her memory. Moonbat activists gave her name to a ship used to supply Palestinian terrorists. A play was staged in her honor. Her moonbatty relatives have sued Caterpillar for making the bulldozer she so foolishly stood in front of.

Armed Agents Crack Down on Unlicensed Barbers

Posted by Dave Blount at 11:32 AM

Our rulers refuse to take effective measures to slow down the flow of terrorists and Third World colonists pouring over the southern border, but at least they're cracking down on unlicensed barbers in Florida:

As many as 14 armed Orange County deputies, including narcotics agents, stormed Strictly Skillz barbershop during business hours on a Saturday in August, handcuffing barbers in front of customers during a busy back-to-school weekend.
It was just one of a series of unprecedented raid-style inspections the Orange County Sheriff's Office recently conducted with a state regulating agency, targeting several predominantly black- and Hispanic-owned barbershops in the Pine Hills area.
In "sweeps" on Aug. 21 and Sept. 17 targeting at least nine shops, deputies arrested 37 people — the majority charged with "barbering without a license" …
The operations were conducted without warrants, under the authority of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation inspectors, who can enter salons at will. …
A licensing inspector determined that Strictly Skillz was in compliance and everyone working had a valid license displayed in plain view — but not before barbers said they spent an hour sitting in handcuffs.

If that's how Big Government responds to the menace of unlicensed barbers, imagine what charming visits businesses will receive from armed EPA agents after Cap & Tax is imposed through the regulatory back door.

Transsexual Changes Back, Denounces Sex Change Operations

Finally, a shaft of reason falls on the grotesque if politically correct sex change phenomenon:

A man who underwent sex change surgery to look like a woman — then changed back — says the NHS [British National Health Service] should halt all sex change operations.
Charles Kane, who spent £100,000 on operations to make him look like a woman, says he needed counselling, not surgery.

No kidding. Too bad the doctors couldn't figure that out.

At the beginning of this year it emerged that a 16-year-old boy was to become the UK's youngest sex change patient after the NHS approved his surgery.
In an interview with a national newspaper Bradley Cooper said: "People might think I'm too young to make such a huge decision but I know my own mind and this is what I want." He added: "The doctors have said I need the surgery for my own peace of mind."

In apotemnophilia, a bizarre disorder similar to gender dysphoria, the psychiatrically unsound imagine that everything will be okay if they can just have perfectly healthy limbs amputated. In the interest of consistency, doctors should saw away to secure the patients' "peace of mind."

Ted Rall Calls for Armed Socialist Revolution

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:38 AM

The cockroaches are crawling out of the cracks, angrily flicking their antennae to and fro right out in the light. Enraged at the results of the 2010 election, they're no longer willing to wait quietly through the Gramscian/Fabian process of incremental totalitarianism. MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell freely admits he's a socialist. Tim Wise openly boasts of the progressive plan to obliterate America through demographics. Now Ted Rall — a fixture in the mainstream media establishment — noisily calls for an armed socialist revolution in his aptly named The Anti-American Manifesto. Excerpt via Verum Serum:

We are here because the U.S. is going to end soon. There's going to be an intense, violent, probably haphazard struggle for control. It's going to come down to us versus them. The question is: What are you going to do about it? …
Christian fundamentalists, the millennial end-of-the-worlders obsessed with the Left Behind series about the End Times, neo-Nazi racists, rural black-helicopter Michigan Militia types cut from the same inbred cloth as Timothy McVeigh, allied with "mainstream" gun nuts and right-wing Republicans, have been planning, preparing, and praying for the destruction of the "Godless," "secular" United States for decades. In the past, they formed groups like the John Birch Society and the Aryan Nations. Now the hard Right has a postmodern, decentralized non-organization organization called the Tea Party. …
A war is coming. At stake: our lives, the planet, freedom, living. The government, the corporations, and the extreme right are prepared to coalesce into an Axis of Evil. Are you going to fight back? Will you do whatever it takes, including taking up arms?...
I want you to see that revolt is a good idea, and that it has never been more necessary.

Good thing most liberals are afraid of guns.

Unsurprisingly, MSNBC is helping him promote his malignant manifesto:

The reason Comrade Obama et al. are deliberately destroying our economy with obviously unsustainable spending à la Cloward-Piven is to set the stage for rhetoric like Rall's. After the inevitable economic collapse will come thugs of the SEIU/ACORN stripe to officially snuff out America and replace it with a multi-culti update of the Soviet Union.

It's beginning to look like moonbats and Americans cannot occupy the same territory indefinitely.

Racist Moonbat Throws Temper Tantrum

Posted by Dave Blount at 12:05 PM

The 2010 elections did not go well for moonbats like the inaptly named Tim Wise, but he's been consoling himself with a favorite fantasy of progressives: that the white race is dying, and with it will die liberty. Non-Caucasian Tea Party winners like Marco Rubio and Allen West are conveniently forgotten. Below are lowlights from a terribly written, obscenity-laced racist tantrum Unwise threw in response to the Dems getting trounced:

I know, you think you've taken "your country back" with this election — and of course you have always thought it was yours for the taking, cuz that's what we white folks are bred to believe, that it's ours, and how dare anyone else say otherwise — but you are wrong.
…in the pantheon of American history, conservative old white people have pretty much always been the bad guys, the keepers of the hegemonic and reactionary flame, the folks unwilling to share the category of American with others on equal terms.
Fine, keep it up. It doesn't matter.
Because you're on the endangered list.
And unlike, say, the bald eagle or some exotic species of muskrat, you are not worth saving.
In forty years or so, maybe fewer, there won't be any more white people around who actually remember that Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best, Opie-Taylor-Down-at-the-Fishing Hole cornpone {EXPLETIVE DELETED} that you hold so near and dear to your heart.
There won't be any more white folks around who think the 1950s were the good old days, because there won't be any more white folks around who actually remember them…

According to Unwise, history will be rewritten by people just like him, except with politically correct dark skin. Then it will be as if America never existed; in its place, a moonbat oligarchy will preside over a giant rotting Zimbabwe.

This is why liberals have been facilitating our colonization by Third World hordes pouring over the border in search of unearned "entitlements." They openly seek our extinction at every level: cultural, political, historical, ethnic, racial. Listen to the sick creature gloat:

Do you hear it?
The sound of your empire dying? Your nation, as you knew it, ending, permanently?
Because I do, and the sound of its demise is beautiful.

If there is a lower life form than Tim Wise, science has yet to discover it. Yet vermin of this caliber comprise our ruling class. A nation cannot last long under the thumb of enemies committed to its eradication.

Unwise says he's been threatened! Call the FBI!

Moonbat Halloween

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:27 AM

Moonbats celebrate the same holidays Americans do, but with their own special twist. For example, it's politically incorrect to give children candy on Halloween, since it contributes to the supposed "obesity epidemic" our rulers have been hyping as cover to exert more control over food. In moonbatty Oregon, some children received treats much more consistent with the liberal agenda — namely, condoms:

For the couple who handed out the prophylactics, the act was a community service, health education and a message of pregnancy prevention.

The rubbers were passed out to trick-or-treaters by Kathleen Harris of Silverton, who has been doing it for 24 years. But not to worry, giving children condoms doesn't egg them on toward premature sexual experimentation, because after handing them out to the kiddies, Harris

gives them a speech: The condoms are not to encourage sex, but to let them know what they look like should they decide to have sex in the future.

Harris also gives them tooth brushes, confirming that she has taken liberal do-goodery so deep into the realm of self-parody that she may believe her own laughable rhetoric. Others will have noticed that normalizing the concept of adolescent sex is the opposite of preventing it.

Next comes dressing up the trick-or-treaters like this.

Britain's Navy Rots

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:38 AM

For generations, Britain had the greatest navy in the world. Moonbattery has reduced it to this:

The deputy chairman of the company building the Royal Navy's two new aircraft carriers has said the programme is a "disaster" that will make Britain "a laughing stock".
Following last month's defence review, one carrier will only operate for three years and will never carry aircraft. The second will not carry planes until at least 2020.
Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Nato's secretary-general, has warned Britain's defence cuts were "a matter of concern".

But on the bright side, Britain offers "free" third-rate healthcare to taxpayers willing to wait in line for several years. Politics is all about tradeoffs.

No more Battle of Trafalgars are on the horizon for socialist Britain.

G20 Rulers Push for Global Socialism

Posted by Dave Blount at 8:33 AM

We will know that the science fiction dystopian scenario of worldwide tyranny has become real when taxes are extracted not just by our city and state and country, but on behalf of the entire human race. This nightmare is right around the corner:

A group of 183 organisations from 42 countries has issued a plea to world leaders to impose a tax on financial transactions to help meet the costs of the economic crisis.
Members include Britain's Robin Hood Tax campaign, supported by the TUC, Friends of the Earth and ActionAid.

Given their ignorance of anything that doesn't support their ideology, our collectivist ruling class probably misses the irony of naming an outlandishly unjust and repressive tax after a guy who robbed tax collectors.

Their plea comes ahead of the summit of leaders of G20 economic powers in the South Korean capital Seoul on November 11-12.
The issue of measures needed to stabilise the world economy and boost the global recovery are set to be discussed.
The plea comes in a letter addressed to G20 leaders including Prime Minister David Cameron and US President Barack Obama.
It is signed by development, health, education and environmental charities and unions from 16 of the G20 countries.
They argue that a financial tax would help meet the costs "of the global financial and economic crisis, including reducing the unacceptably high rate of job loss, and achieve key development, health, education and climate change objectives in developing countries".

As we're getting used to under the regime of Hope & Change, temporary economic conditions and the thoroughly discredited global warming hoax are exploited in an attempt to justify a hard and permanent lurch to the left.

Once American taxpayers are on the hook for guaranteeing living conditions in "developing" Third World hellholes, we are on the steep slope to the ultimate liberal dream: a planetary socialist regime in which there is no middle class anywhere, only condescending moonbat rulers and the half-starved plebs they dole out gruel to.

Comrade Obama, the avatar of American decline, says:

"There is going to be a tug-of-war within the US between those who see globalisation as a threat and those who accept we live in a open integrated world, which has challenges and opportunities."

If globalization means "spreading our wealth around" to the entire Third World until all of it is gone, resistance had better be significantly more serious than a tug-of-war.

Hugo Chavez Now Seizing Homes

Posted by Dave Blount at 7:43 AM

Hopefully the election results will prevent Comrade Obama from pushing his agenda any further. We don't want to end up like Venezuela, where Big Government is now confiscating private homes:

Chavez promised Sunday to crack down on construction and real estate companies that he accused of unjustly boosting prices, which he labeled "housing fraud."
The president, a self-proclaimed revolutionary who idolizes Cuba's Fidel Castro and is currently on a visit to Havana, called his decision last week to order the expropriation of six residential complexes and "the temporary occupation" of eight gated communities in Caracas and other cities "an act of justice."

Venezuelans worry that this will lead to more pro-Chavez squatters occupying homes that are under construction, just as Obama's ACORN friends have invaded and occupied homes that belong to others.

Fortunately, even in Venezuela, there is still resistance to socialism.

Opposition politician Julio Borges accused Chavez on Sunday of trampling private-property rights and steering Venezuela toward Cuba-style communism.
Borges told a news conference that Venezuelans don't want to live in "a country of slaves, where the government is the owner of everything and the people aren't owners of anything."

Good thing Borges isn't American; the media would denounce his views as extremist and call him a racist and a "teabagger."

The Return of Keith Olbermann

Posted by Dave Blount at 8:54 PM

It looks like Queef Overwith isn't over with after all. MSNBC President Phil Griffin has spoken:

After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday night's program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night.

This means that MSNBC's principled stand regarding the brazen violation of its policy on political donations amounted to granting Olbermann a four-day weekend as punishment for poisoning Arizona by showering money upon grubby Reconquistador Raul Grijalva and dim-witted flake Gabby Giffords. Rumors that MSNBC would pull back at the last moment rather than plunge headlong into the abyss of ultra-left lunacy personified by Olbie appear to have been discredited.

Keith Olbermann Suspended Without Pay

Posted by Dave Blount at 12:12 PM

Queef Olbermann, the personification of spittle-spewing liberal lunacy, has been suspended by MSNBC for arrogantly disregarding company rules:

Olbermann acknowledged to NBC that he donated $2,400 apiece to the campaigns of Kentucky Senate candidate Jack Conway and Arizona Reps. Raul Grivalva and Gabrielle Giffords.
NBC News prohibits its employees from working on, or donating to, political campaigns unless a special exception is granted by the news division president — effectively a ban. Olbermann's bosses did not find out about the donations until after they were made. The website Politico first reported the donations.
"I became aware of Keith's political contributions late last night," Phil Griffin, MSNBC's chief executive, said Friday. "Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay."

That Doberman would even want to support scum like Grijalva would be reason enough to have security escort him out of the building by the scruff of the neck at any sane network, but this is MSNBC. No More Using California Welfare Cards to Buy "Medical" Marijuana

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:49 AM

It's going to take a little more than this to keep California from being pulled into bankruptcy by the ever-growing entitlement class:

Gov. Arnold Schwarzeneger says welfare recipients can no longer use state-issued debit cards at medical marijuana shops, psychics and other businesses whose services have been deemed "inconsistent with the intent" of the program.

But I thought medical marijuana was medicine!

Other businesses affected by the ban include bail bond establishments, bingo halls, cruise ships and tattoo parlors.

This follows up on a ban on using the welfare cards at casino ATMs. At least those who have not escaped California and are still in a position to work for a living know where their money has been going.

Treasury Secretary Turns to Professional Clown for Advice

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:19 AM

As our economy staggers toward the next major collapse, we're left to wonder where Comrade Obama's conspicuously incompetent tax-cheating Treasury Secretary gets his ideas.

On a tip from TED.

Actually, it's worse than that:

In the midst of debates on financial regulation and China's currency in April, Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner sat down to discuss the U.S. economy — with comedian Jon Stewart.
Geithner and Stewart, host of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," held an off-the-record meeting at Stewart's office in New York on April 2, according to Geithner's appointments calendar, updated through August on Treasury's website.
Geithner didn't stay for a television interview with Stewart although other administration officials — most notably President Barack Obama last week — have turned up for on-camera chats.
"Jon Stewart is influential in America, so we took the opportunity for the two to meet and to discuss the economy," Treasury spokesman Steve Adamske said in an e-mail [Tuesday].

Maybe Geithner mixed up Stewart, whose real name is Jon Leibowitz, with the Jon Leibowitz serving as Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission. In any case, the smirking moonbat isn't the only clown Geithner has been consulting with:

On the same day he met with Stewart, Geithner spoke on the phone with Democratic lawmakers including Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd of Connecticut, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California, according to the appointments calendar.
Geithner also spoke with House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank of Massachusetts and Senators Charles Schumer of New York and Max Baucus of Montana, all Democrats.

Out of this motley crew, Stewart may actually be the best qualified to lend Turbo Tax Timmy a clue.

What Not to Wear While Driving Drunk

Ted Kennedy is gone and son Patrick is on his way out, but their legacy lives on, even in the heartland:

When an inebriated driver was pulled over by police after being spotted swerving dangerously across the road in Lincoln, Nebraska he must have known that his chances did not look good. The bottle of vodka and empty beer cans might be overlooked, but the head-to-toe breathalyser costume was going to be a dead giveaway.
Matthew Nieveen, 19, had spent the evening at a Halloween party in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he decided to model himself after a blood alcohol monitor used to test suspected drunk drivers. It is believed he then got behind the wheel of his pickup truck after the party, drunk and in full costume.
Lincoln Police Chief Tom Casady, who has blogged about the arrest, said that Nieveen smelled of booze, slurred his words and had watery eyes when they pulled him over to investigate his unruly driving. Police say that his blood alcohol level was 0.08 and sufficient grounds for a DUI, though this figure falls far short of the '6.9' proudly displayed on the chest of his costume.

Maybe Nieveen should move to New England and run for the legislature.

Kilometer-Long Air-Conditioned Tunnel to Be Constructed for Obama's Drive to the Gandhi Museum

Posted by Dave Blount at 3:42 PM

Lord Obama is wasting our money so extravagantly on his India trip, it's tempting to think of it as a petulant gesture of defiance in reaction to the widely foreseen trouncing his party received from taxpayers on Tuesday. Or is it somehow reasonable, when our country is staggering toward bankruptcy due to excessive government spending, to build a kilometer-long air-conditioned tunnel for him to drive through?

The matter pertains to US president Barack Obama's planned visit to Mani Bhavan — the Gandhi museum — on November 6, soon after he reaches Mumbai. … Since it is difficult to monitor such a congested area, they came up with a quick solution which left the Indians accompanying them amazed: A bomb-proof over-ground tunnel — to be installed by US military engineers…
The tunnel would be a kilometre long and measure 12ft by 12ft — enough to let Obama's cavalcade pass through. The tunnel would be centrally air-conditioned, fitted with close-circuit television cameras, and will be heavily guarded at every point, including, of course, its entry and exit.

The insolent extravagance of America's worst president will be remembered for centuries.

The reason such an outlandish pageant is being made of Comrade Obama paying homage to Gandhi is the role the latter played in bringing down the British Empire. This is a big deal to the anti-neo-colonialist Manchurian Moonbat, who apparently sees himself as following in Gandhi's footsteps by bringing down America.

Iowa Judges Dethroned Over Homosexual Activism

Posted by Dave Blount at 11:29 AM

Sometimes there is a price to be paid when progressive oligarchs ram moonbattery down our throats through judicial decree:

Three Iowa Supreme Court justices lost their seats Tuesday in a historic upset fueled by their 2009 decision that allowed same-sex couples to marry.
Vote totals from 96 percent of Iowa's 1,774 precincts showed Chief Justice Marsha Ternus and Justices David Baker and Michael Streit with less than the simple majority needed to stay on the bench.
Their removal marked the first time an Iowa Supreme Court justice has not been retained since 1962, when the merit selection and retention system for judges was adopted.
The decision is expected to echo to courts throughout the country, as conservative activists had hoped. "It appears we're headed for a resounding victory tonight and a historic moment in the state of Iowa," said Bob Vander Plaats, the Sioux City businessman who led a campaign to remove the justices because of the 2009 gay marriage ruling. "The people of Iowa stood up in record numbers and sent a message … that it is 'We the people,' not 'We the courts.'"

Unfortunately, if Comrade Obama is able to swing the Supreme Court to the hard left by appointing another militant moonbat from the Sonia Sotomayor/Elena Kagan mold, there won't be much voters can do about it afterwards.

Moonbats Reject Personal Hygiene

Posted by Dave Blount at 10:19 AM

Moonbats have never been admired for their hygiene. Now it's getting worse:

The New York Times has just reported on a new trend towards what's sometimes known as soap-dodging. Among those who have cut down on daily showers, baths or hair-washing were a woman who swipes a sliced lemon under her armpits instead of deodorant, another who uses baby wipes to freshen up after her lunchtime runs, and a salesman who shampoos only once a month and gave up anti-perspirant for three years.
Think this is only happening in the US? Think again. There are plenty of signs that this carefree attitude to cleanliness is popular in the UK too — and in some cases growing. Last year, a poll for tissue manufacturer SCA found that 41% of British men and 33% of women don't shower every day, with 12% of people only having a proper wash once or twice a week.

This isn't always mere sloth. Moonbats renounce hygiene to save the planet.

In a bid to reduce his carbon footprint to the absolute minimum, environmentalist Donnachadh McCarthy, 51, limits his showers to about twice a week. "The rest of the time I have a sink wash," he says. "I believe that I'm as clean as everyone else." It has helped him to get his water consumption down to around 20 litres a day — well below the 100 to 150 average in the UK.

Evidently liberals believe that when water swirls down the drain, it passes into another dimension, never to return. The more water we use, the less there will be for the thirsty polar bears.

Another argument against keeping yourself presentable is the claim that "regular washing is stripping our skin of germs that could actually be beneficial to us, that help our skin stay healthy, balanced and fresh."

Pre-guillotine Louis XVI had nothing over the Moonbat Messiah where arrogance and self-indulgence are concerned. While we struggle to pay our taxes and still avoid foreclosure, our historic First Adolescent President is spending $200 million a day of our money to see the exotic sights of India:

"The huge amount of around $200 million would be spent on security, stay and other aspects of the Presidential visit," a top official of the Maharashtra Government privy to the arrangements for the high-profile visit said.
About 3,000 people including Secret Service agents, US government officials and journalists would accompany the President. Several officials from the White House and US security agencies are already here for the past one week with helicopters, a ship and high-end security instruments.

Airspace for the entire city of Mumbai will be closed for everyone but the Anointed One and his massive contingent. That ought to repair any damage his still more massive ego sustained on Tuesday. In case it doesn't, 34 US warships, including an aircraft carrier, will be patrolling off the Mumbai coast.

There's more:

Fed Confirms Debt Will Be Monetized

Posted by Dave Blount at 8:17 AM

In case anyone doubted that our rulers plan to "spread the wealth around" by using hyperinflation to pay off the massive debts they've incurred, the Fed has set the record clear:

In essence, the Fed now will print money to buy as much as $900 billion in U.S. government bonds through June — an amount roughly equal to the government's total projected borrowing needs over that period.

The effect of this will be to drive up inflation and interest rates, and ease pressure on the government to lay off the reckless spending. Paul Krugman ought to be delighted.

In other Fed news, Ben Bernanke is introducing new currency cleverly designed to make it easier to keep adding zeros like they do in Zimbabwe:

University Course Offered in Lady Gaga

Posted by Dave Blount at 7:09 AM

In a country plagued by moonbattery, this passes for higher education:

Mathieu Deflem, a sociology professor at the University of South Carolina, is adding a course title "Lady Gaga and the Sociology of Fame".
The synopsis for the course reads: "The central objective is to unravel some of the sociologically relevant dimensions of the fame of Lady Gaga".

Professor Deflem propounds the earth-shaking scholarly theory that Lady Gaga is not just the new Madonna, but rather has "this very individual thing."

If you think our extravagantly overpriced universities are absurd now, wait until the full effects of Comrade Obama nationalizing the student loan industry are felt.

Libs at Moonbat Rally Respond to Charges That Obama Is a Keynesian

Paul Krugman Calls for 28% Inflation

Posted by Dave Blount at 11:45 AM

Just how bug-eyed insane is the NY Times's Paul Krugman, crown jewel of the leftist intellectual establishment? Here's what he would do if he could live out his fantasy of becoming Dictator of the Federal Reserve:

…announce a fairly high inflation target over an extended period, and commit to meeting that target.
What am I talking about? Something like a commitment to achieve 5 percent annual inflation over the next 5 years — or, perhaps better, to hit a price level 28 percent higher at the end of 2015 than the level today. (Compounding) Crucially, this target would have to be non-contingent — not something you'll call off if the economy recovers.

He then goes on to echo his dime store messiah's denunciation of America as arrogant.

Achieving his goal would mean that 28% of the savings you spent your life working to acquire goes up in a puff of Hope & Change. Among liberals, Krugman is considered an expert in economics.

Hopefully 2008 taught us not to let the malevolent kooks comprising the "mainstream" media choose our leaders for us.

Portraits of Posturing Moonbattery

Mediaite has collected 23 of the most offensive signs on display at last weekend's moonbat imitation of a Tea Party. Below are a few samples that might help us understand what sort of people would actually reelect Barney Frank and Harry Reid.

According to moonbats, God is stupid — at least, compared to the infinite wisdom of the petty tyrant bureaucrats they worship instead:

A liberal's conception of a patriot, learned from watching the statist establishment media:

Yet another of the narrow-minded bigoted a-holes who typify the sneeringly condescending liberal "elite":

Strip away the tediously contrived irony that serves hipster moonbats as a worldview, and this message sums up the smiley-faced fascism that is modern liberalism:

Another fistful of feces flung at Sarah Palin, complete with the vile sexual innuendo so popular on the left:

Maobama Still Big in Communist China

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:49 AM

America has soundly rejected his malignant agenda, but Comrade Obama can console himself with the knowledge that he remains popular behind the Bamboo Curtain.

Americans may have fallen out of love with Barack Obama, but the president of the United States is still an object of affection for the Chinese, who have remodelled him as a blow-up sex doll.
A doll wearing a dark blue suit and red tie, and with Mr Obama's face carefully screen-printed onto its head, was exhibited at the recent 8th Sex Culture Festival in the southern city of Guangzhou.
The doll was photographed by Chinese state media nestling behind several other standard plastic female toys.
Mr Obama is widely popular in China, and a "Maobama" t-shirt, bearing an image of his face crossed with a portrait of Chairman Mao, has become a best-seller.

Too bad they don't hold elections in the countries where Obama's ideology has taken root. He might stand a chance in 2012.

"The best word I played was 'inficete' [not witty] as it changed the flow of the game and my best move was when I played 'tenor', as it allowed me to open up the board for me to play a high-scoring K."
Other words that proved significant in the final included 'oceanaut' [undersea explorer], 'winna' [will not] and 'nads', slang for testicles."

Speaking of nads, Nicholson still has his, although he claims he's been diagnosed by a psychologist as a woman trapped in a man's body.

In other news from the moonbattery-ravaged remnants of once-great Britain,

A man undergoing sex change treatment appeared at the Old Bailey [Monday] accused of pushing a cross-dressing lawyer under a train.
Nina Kanagasingham, 34, sat in the dock at the Old Bailey with stubble on his face and wearing a prison tracksuit.
Judge Timothy Pontius asked: "This defendant is in the process of undergoing a sex change. Has it been completed?"
He was told it had not, and that the defendant wished to be "addressed in her female name of Nina".
Kanagasingham was charged with murdering David Burgess, 63, who was hit by a train at King's Cross underground station during evening rush-hour last Monday.
Mr Burgess was a human rights lawyer known to his friends and family as Sonia.

"I think the message is unmistakable that the Obama agenda is dead. The only question is how much of it is going to be repealed and how much Obama will be willing to concede."

According to Krauthammer, actually taking the Senate wasn't necessary at this point, because enough Democrats up for reelection in 2012 will be unnerved by yesterday's carnage that they won't follow the Manchurian Moonbat off any more cliffs.

Unfortunately, there is still the danger that Republicans will take the awful advice of Mike Gallagher, who announced on his radio show this morning that the time has come to set aside divisiveness and compromise with the Marxist in the White House. Republicans weren't elected to slightly slow down Obama's drive toward collectivist ruin, but to stop it. If we make sure they remember that, America still has a chance.

Chrysler Creates Jobs, but Not for Americans

At least when Comrade Obama prevented Chrysler from appropriately going into bankruptcy by buying the company with our money, he created lots of jobs — jobs in Mexico, that is:

President Felipe Calderon [who was cheered by the Democrat Congress for denouncing Arizona's attempts to enforce US law] says Mexico is becoming a leader in auto production, as he inaugurated a new Chrysler engine plant in the northern city of Saltillo.
The new $570 million plant will employ 700 people and produce the company's Pentastar V-6 engine for the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and later for the Town and Country 300 and 200, the Dodge Charger, Avenger, Durango and Journey. …
The company named the new facility the Centenario engine plant, in honor of the anniversary of the start of Mexico's 1910-1917 Revolution.

How patriotic.

Homosexual Entertainer Stephen Fry Proves That Women Don't Like Sex

Posted by Dave Blount at 9:26 AM

How does Britain's Stephen Fry know that women don't like sex? Because if they did, they would behave like his fellow homosexuals:

'If women liked sex as much as men, there would be straight cruising areas in the way there are gay cruising areas,' he said.
'Women would go and hang around in churchyards thinking, "God, I've got to get my ******* rocks off", or they'd go to Hampstead Heath and meet strangers to s**g behind a bush.
'It doesn't happen. Why? Because the only women you can have sex with like that wish to be paid for it.'
Fry, who hosts BBC quiz QI, added: 'I feel sorry for straight men.
'The only reason women will have sex with them is that sex is the price they are willing to pay for a relationship with a man, which is what they want.
'Of course, a lot of women will deny this and say, "Oh no, but I love sex, I love it!" But do they go around having it the way that gay men do?'

The homosexual practice of constantly performing depraved sex acts in public with any willing stranger available is effectively legal now in England, although it is definitely not legal to criticize those indulging in it. Don't worry about the spread of AIDS; the taxpayer takes care of everything through socialized medicine.

This is what awaits us if the Culture War turns out here the way it has in Britain.

American Indians Fight Back Against Moonbat Do-Gooders

Posted by Dave Blount at 11:25 AM

Liberals have only the best intentions toward any American Indians who want to trudge through multicultural lives of picturesque pre-Columbian squalor. They are less helpful toward those Indians who prefer not to live hand to mouth in the Stone Age. Fortunately some are fighting back:

The Hopi Tribe has a message for the Sierra Club and other environmental groups: Keep out!
That is the response of the Hopi Tribal Council [earlier this fall] to what it says has been continuous concerted attacks from local and national environmental groups "bent on advancing their interests and agenda at the expense of the Hopi Tribe and its sovereign interest."
The council wants the Sierra Club and other environmental groups and on-reservation organizations affiliated with these groups to know they are not welcome on the Hopi Reservation, declaring them persona non grata — no longer favored or welcome.
By a resolution approved 12-0, the council said environmentalists have deprived the tribe "of markets for its coal resources" and coal revenues needed to sustain governmental services, provide jobs for tribal members and safeguard Hopi culture and tradition.
In 2005, environmental groups played a significant role in the shutdown of the Mohave Generating Station, which the Hopi Council contends "deprived the Hopi Tribe of many millions of dollars of annual operating revenues," according to the resolution.
Revenue losses from the Mohave power plant range from an estimated $6.5 million to $8.5 million annually.
The council feels that the economic viability of the Navajo Generating Station - the tribe's only remaining coal customer - is also being threatened, and that environmentalists' actions could lead to "total economic collapse of the tribe."

The Sierra Club responded by bleating foolishly about the fictional global warming crisis, mythical "green jobs," wind and solar boondoggles, and allegedly menaced sacred springs.

Too bad sanctimonious moonbattery can't be used to pay rent and put food on the table — unless of course you're a member of the liberal elite like Al Gore.

Remember and Vote

Posted by Dave Blount at 8:50 AM

Americans will know how to vote for decades to come if we remember the 111th Congress, as explained at Hot Air. Highlights:

The 111th Congress began by dropping a trillion dollars in debt on the American taxpayer. The money disappeared in a wild spending spree, buying $2 million jobs in Los Angeles, and evaporating into nonexistent zip codes. Billions of dollars remain clogged in the filthy pipes of government, producing nothing but more debt through accumulated interest payments. Much of the "stimulus" money was used to pump lard into government payrolls, creating useless jobs that vanished as soon as the taxpayer subsidies ran dry. The President recently admitted that the stated reason for appropriating this vast sum of money, the creation of "shovel-ready jobs," was an outright lie.
Government payrolls, are the only thing that expanded during the past session of Congress. Public sector jobs multiplied like a virus, and the number of six-figure government employees skyrocketed. Meanwhile, real unemployment in the private sector - including seasonal adjustments, long-term discouraged workers, and the underemployed - hit 22% nationwide. The lights burned bright and merry in the plush offices of K Street lobbying firms, while the rest of the economy slid into darkness. …
The 111th congress stank with the corruption of Christopher Dodd, Jack Murtha, Maxine Waters, Charlie Rangel, and Harry Reid. The ruling Party made it clear that it would go to any lengths to protect its worst members from investigation and punishment. The agenda of this Congress was conducted behind closed doors, or slipped like poison into the legislative bloodstream, to escape the notice of the American people. Fat bailouts for loyal union allies were hidden inside bills that were supposed to fund the military. Nobody knew what this Congress was really voting on... including members of Congress, who didn't bother to read the bills anyway. …
Of course, this is the Congress that shoved ObamaCare down our throats. Drafted in secret, hidden behind fraudulent cost estimates, and understood by none of the people who voted on it, ObamaCare is the most shocking dereliction of Congressional duty in recent history. Its architects flirted openly with violating the Constitution to inflict it upon us through reconciliation, before they managed to buy enough votes with our money. It has already destroyed thousands of jobs, and inflicted painful new costs on hapless workers who thought their health insurance was supposed to get cheaper.
The passage of ObamaCare shattered the myth of the "moderate Democrat" for a generation. Every one of them is an accomplice to this radical offense against the American people. Private comments from Congressional representatives made it clear they knew exactly what they were doing to us. They saddled us with a system designed to fail, and pave the way for something even worse: single-payer socialized medicine.
Faced with electoral destruction at the hands of an enraged populace, the Democrats of the 111th Congress spent their last days calling the voters stupid and insane. They scurried out of town without even passing a budget, leaving a recessionary economy tied to the ticking bomb of the expiring Bush tax cuts.
Remember the arrogance. Remember the cowardice. Remember the ugly hatred of middle-class America. Remember the sheer blind stupidity of those who demand the power to write our destiny, when they're not yelping in surprise at the latest piece of "unexpected" economic news.

Progressives have gotten away with rewriting history before, convincing many that National Socialists were ideological brethren to small-government conservatives, that FDR ended the Great Depression by dragging it out for a decade, and even that Woodrow Wilson was anything better than a fascist dictator. Don't let them do it again. Never forget what Barack Obama and the 111th Congress have done to this country, or similar people will inflict even more damage in the future.

NFL Throws Money at Dem Incumbents

Posted by Dave Blount at 7:58 AM

The fan base for the NFL is primarily conservative. The same is true of the owners, players, and coaches. The pencil-pushers running the league appear to be another matter.

It was bad enough when Rush Limbaugh was blocked from becoming a part owner of the Rams due to his alleged thought crimes. Now we learn that the league is throwing its weight behind the reelection campaigns of profoundly malignant Democrats.

The National Football League's political action committee — Gridiron PAC — … has given $10,000 to [Dingy Harry] Reid — the maximum it can give in a single election cycle — and no money to [his opponent Sharron] Angle, according to Federal Election Commission data compiled by
The NFL's PAC also contributed to other incumbent Democratic senators facing viable challengers this year, giving $5,000 to Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas; $5,000 to Russ Feingold of Wisconsin; $5,000 to Barbara Boxer of California; $5,000 to Michael Bennet of Colorado; and $5,000 to Patty Murray of Washington.

The NFL's PAC also maxed out on its contributions to Nasty Pelousy and Charles Schumer, the conspicuously slimy creepazoid poised to take Harry Reid's position if Reid loses but the Dems hold the Senate.

According to NFL Vice President of Government Relations Jeff Miller, the donations were made not out of sheer moonbattery, but in keeping with a pro-incumbent policy.

"It's common — I would say very common — that PACs give predominantly, overwhelmingly, or maybe in some cases almost exclusively, to incumbents as opposed to challengers," said Miller. "So, it's not a sign to anyone. The PAC is a tool to help us work cooperatively with Congress to further the goals of the National Football League." …
"If the Congress changes, you'll see that the giving will continue to go to people who are in significant roles in Congress regardless of party — political affiliation doesn't play a role in deciding for or against somebody, rather it's the role that they play in Congress which determines whether or not we work with them and whether they're a recipient of PAC [money]," he said.

Why would money be showered upon whichever politicians hold power? Because when government becomes vastly too intrusive, no large business can operate without greasing the wheels.

If only businesses would save their money for candidates promising to restrict government to its legitimate functions, such payoffs might not be necessary in the future.

The NFL would be well advised to listen to its fans.
