James Jay Lee: Ecomoonbattery Reaches Full Flower
Posted by Dave Blount at September 1, 2010 5:00 PM
Stuff enough malignant lies into the brains of unhinged halfwits and it is only a matter of time until you end up with a few cases like James Jay Lee:
A man known for protesting the Discovery Channel's environmental programming stormed the network's Maryland headquarters carrying a handgun on Wednesday, holding three people hostage for hours until he was shot and killed by police, according to authorities. …
The suspect was identified by Discovery Communications as James Jay Lee of San Diego, Calif., a man well-known to the building's employees because of his history of protesting the network.
Sounds like one of those demonic right-wingers our Director of Homeland Security warned us about. Maybe the Tea Party has boiled over into violence, just as the media has so stridently predicted.
Then again, maybe Lee was a moonbat — like virtually all public menaces.
A website registered to Lee criticized Discovery and announced plans for the protest in January 2008: "These guys have been very sneaky and deceptive as to their contribution to the planetary problems. Just look at their 'new' show about saving the planet, 'Planet Green,' to me, it's just another show about more PRODUCTS to make MONEY, not about actual solutions. We can't let them get away with doing it anymore."
Capitalists who won't stop producing PRODUCTS we want just to make MONEY obviously must be stopped. That's what our kids are taught in school, anyway.
Lee is believed to have distributed a manifesto outside the Discovery building several weeks ago that called on the network to "broadcast to the world their commitment to save the planet."
When a moonbat starts barking about "saving the planet," anyone he bites should be tested for rabies. How did this kook get such crazy thoughts in his head?
Lee reportedly said he began working to save the planet after being laid off from his job in San Diego. He said he was inspired by "Ishmael," a novel by environmentalist Daniel Quinn and by former Vice President Al Gore's documentary "An Inconvenient Truth."
Discovery Communications is about as ecomoonbatty an outfit as you will find. One of its channels even runs "Whale Wars," a program dedicated to glorifying the terrorist activities of sociopathic hippy pirates who sabotage whaling vessels. But to a moonbat, moonbattery could never go far enough.
Happy, Prince Albert? Your global warming crisis has finally claimed a victim.
See how many favorite liberal themes you can find in these highlights from Lee's manifesto:
The Discovery Channel MUST broadcast to the world their commitment to save the planet and to do the following IMMEDIATELY:
…Focus must be given on how people can live WITHOUT giving birth to more filthy human children since those new additions continue pollution and are pollution. …
All programs on Discovery Health-TLC must stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants and the false heroics behind those actions. In those programs' places, programs encouraging human sterilization and infertility must be pushed. All former pro-birth programs must now push in the direction of stopping human birth, not encouraging it. …
All programs promoting War and the technology behind those must cease. …
Civilization must be exposed for the filth it is. That, and all its disgusting religious-cultural roots and greed. Broadcast this message until the pollution in the planet is reversed and the human population goes down! …
Find solutions for Global Warming, Automotive pollution, International Trade, factory pollution, and the whole blasted human economy. Find ways so that people don't build more housing pollution which destroys the environment to make way for more human filth! Find solutions so that people stop breeding as well as stopping using Oil in order to REVERSE Global warming and the destruction of the planet! …
Talk about Evolution. Talk about Malthus and Darwin until it sinks into the stupid people's brains until they get it!! …
For every human born, ACRES of wildlife forests must be turned into farmland in order to feed that new addition over the course of 60 to 100 YEARS of that new human's lifespan! THIS IS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE FOREST CREATURES!!!! All human procreation and farming must cease! …
Saving the environment and the remaning species diversity of the planet is now your mindset. Nothing is more important than saving them. The Lions, Tigers, Giraffes, Elephants, Froggies, Turtles, Apes, Raccoons, Beetles, Ants, Sharks, Bears, and, of course, the Squirrels.
Of course, the Squirrels.
Readers will note that his frenzied hostility to human reproduction is common among the environmental cognoscenti (see here and here and here). As Lee illustrates so floridly, liberal environmentalism is not just foolish and irritating: it is an antihuman and therefore evil ideology. Anyone who takes it seriously is a potential maniac.
