Post Office Offers a Clue on ObamaCare's Financial Future
Posted by Dave Blount at March 24, 2010 10:00 AM
Of all the arrogance displayed by Democrats in their seizure of the healthcare industry, possibly the most insulting is the insolent claim that it will reduce the deficit — as if we were drooling idiots who might actually believe such a preposterous lie. For an idea of what taking over the healthcare industry will do to the budget, just refer to the Post Office's finances:
The U.S. Postal Service is on pace to lose $238 billion over the next 10 years, with annual deficits hitting $33 billion by 2020 — five times the current level…
But that's okay — bureaucrats can just funnel in more taxpayer money. When it runs out, they can just print some more. Socialism doesn't work, but at least it's easy.
