Not Fade Away

Not even Landslide McCain --- the guy who knuckled under on the Gang of 14, opposed the Bush Tax Cuts, and sides with the Democrats on keeping America dependent on foreign oil --- is ready to roll over for the Pelosi-Obama health care steamroller.

Sen. John McCain says Democrats who championed the historic health care bill that passed the House haven't heard the last of the issue, predicting reprisals at the polls and in the courts.
The Arizona Republican declared that Republicans "will challenge it every place we can," and called the measure, approved on a 219-212 vote, "terribly wrong for America." He said he was repulsed by "all this euphoria going on" and argued that "outside the Beltway, the American people are very angry. They don't like it and we're going to repeal this."

The fact that JD Hayworth has closed to single digits in the polls probably has something to do with this. (Of Course, Rasmussen cannot be trusted since he is part of the FoxNews-Cylon conspiracy.)

I'm not in a despairin' mood today. I'm in a fightin' mood. I'm thinking of the series final of Angel, "Not Fade Away." Best. Series. Finale. Evah! And its central theme was, in the words of Joss Whedon, "You're never done; no matter who goes down, the fight goes on."

I couldn't find a clip of the Final Scene on YouTube, but I found this.

The part where the California Senator gets the axe to her head is especially sweet.

And the bit where the blue chick punches Nancy Pelosi in the face.

Let's go to work.
