Have You Heard the Latest?

Apparently, FoxNews is about to merge with Al Jazeera. Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity will soon be agents of Global Jihad.

When you combine the "fact" that FoxNews parent company, News Corp is moving its South Asian regional headquarters to Abu Dhabi with the fact that the UAE is currently in the process of building Cylon Base Stars, one is left with only one possible conclusion: The Cylons are running FoxNews.

Inevitably, the FoxNews/Global Jihad Alliance will send anorexic super-models with glowing spines to seduce our foremost computer scientists and bring about the end of humanity.

Hey, is this any crazier than the notion that pouring water on a terrorist's nose is torture, that insurance companies are out to kill people, that Sean Hannity uses the Freedom Alliance as a personal slush fund, that the Tea Parties are run by the KKK, or that Iraq was invaded on the orders of Halliburton? Yeah, a little bit, but not by much.

The FoxNews/UAE base stars will be painted red to trick the people in flyover country into believing they're Republicans.

(Or, you could accept the mundane, non-crazy explanation that News Corp is locating one of its many operations to a business-friendly city with modern infrastructure centrally located relative to the region it serves, but that would be about as much fun as admitting that subjecting terrorists to non-injurious discomfort with the aim of saving lives isn't really such a bad thing, or that the profit motive is a better guarantor of quality service than bureaucratic edict.)

(And it's interesting to me that people who oh-so-sanctimoniously denounce all Obama critics as kooks have no trouble embracing crazy sh-t as long as it jibes with what they want to believe.)
