Morning Briefs for Friday Item 1: She Writes

Sarah Palin is writing another book. This one will describe how Willow Palin is Trig's real mother, and his real father is A-Rod. Just kidding, it will be a "celebration of American virtues and strengths."

Hmm, Sarah Palin + American virtues and strengths. That's gonna make some left-wing heads explode; especially the ones with zero reader blogs. I wonder if the AP will assign sixteen fact-checkers to this one, too.

Meanwhile, some Hollywood lefty is claiming that all the laughter during her Tonight Show interview was canned and the audience hated her and the Palin-haters are gleefully trumpeting the rumor. The deranged piling on never stops. Jeffery Wright notes in the comments (thanks JW, I saw this story but forgot about it) that other Hollywood gossipheads are claiming that she and her "entourage" descended "like locusts" and made off with a bunch of Oscar swag.

Update from Nunya in teh comments: The story about Sarah and her friends looting the Oscar swag turns out to be just another big fat lie promulgated by a Palin-hater, gleefully spread by other Palin haters.

Why people put so much time and energy into hating on someone who is not in office, has no power and is not doing anything to harm anyone else... sorry, I just don't get it. If you're going to hate, why not hate someone who's actually... you know... evil. If you're going to attack a politician, attack one who has or is seeking the power to do bad things to your life or to the country. Or, John Edwards, because he's a complete douchebag. I mean, even the worst lies the left makes up about Sarah Palin don't compare with knocking up your mistress while your wife is fighting cancer, and then getting a campaign aide to take the blame for it.
