Jim Bunning Demonized for Demanding Fiscal Responsibility
Posted by Gregory of Yardale at March 2, 2010 6:40 PM
Update and Bump: Senator Bunning's offices have received two bomb threats since the Democrats began attacking him. I doubt these threats are coming from the "violent radical teabaggers" the left has been warning about.

The attacks on Senator Jim Bunning (R-TNKY) illustrate how the Demoncrats are not serious about fiscal responsibility. At all. Ever. Bunning has blocked the Senate from spending $10,000,000,000 (Ten Billion Dollars) to extend unemployment benefits until the Senate can pay for it by cutting other programs or raising taxes. i.e. Bunning wants the Senate to follow the Pay-as-you-go legislation the senate passed and the president signed last week.
For daring to insist that the Senate follow the law, Bunning is being demonized by the Democrats as insensitive to the unemployed. The MSM Democrats' PR Operation has dutifully complied with their marching orders, trotting out sob stories of unemployed people who will be hurt because Jim Bunning doesn't want to pile onto the debt.
It's not like cutting $10 Billion from other programs should be a problem. $10 Billion is a rounding error for the grossly exploded budgets of agencies like the Department of Health and Human Services, or the Department of Education. There's also unspent Stimulus spending that could be tasked. But Democrats balk at those suggestions. They just want to borrow and spend.
Speaking of unemployment, here's an interesting chart, courtesy of IMAO.
