Get Ready for Earth Hour Human Achievement Hour!
Posted by The MaryHunter at March 26, 2010 11:12 AM
Tomorrow at 8:30 PM local time (that's 20:30 ROW), you'll be asked by eco-moonbats a plenty to turn off your lights — at least, the unnecessary ones — for "climate change awareness." We have Australia to thank for Earth Hour, where this cockamamey "awareness" scheme originated in 2007.
So, how are you going to observe Earth Hour, friendly readers? Besides running every appliance in your home plus your AC/heat beyond the cost-effective zone plus renting a few kleig lights to party outside with your like-minded neighbors, you might want to consider an alternative suggested at Conservative Blog Watch.
Good news is, there's now an alternative to Earth Hour — it's called Human Achievement Hour! A celebration of all that humans have accomplished. What can you do to participate?
* In honor of HAH, leave your lights on, Saturday, March 27, at 8:30pm!
* Tweet or blog about it, and let us know about how you observed that hour. (#HAH2010).
* Follow HAH on Twitter, Twitter.com/hah_2010.
* Join HAH on Facebook.
* If you're in the Washington, DC area, join us for a cocktail hour celebrating HAH.
* Read Michelle Minton's commentaries on specific human achievements, on Openmarket.org.
Don't you know, there are plenty of things to celebrate this Saturday night, rather than bring awareness to something over which humans have no control.
