AP Finally Notices That ObamaCare Will Worsen Doctor Shortage

Well, gee, thanks Ass Press. Why weren't you covering this a few weeks ago when it would have done some good? You know, back when only us right-wing kooks were saying, "You know, adding millions of patients to the system while driving thousands of doctors out of the system may not be a really good idea."

Primary care physicians already are in short supply in parts of the country, and the landmark health overhaul that will bring them millions more newly insured patients in the next few years promises extra strain. ... Recently published reports predict a shortfall of roughly 40,000 primary care doctors over the next decade.

You can thank all of those imbeciles who think it's morally wrong (and therefore should be legally wrong) to make a profit treating sick people.

The article tries to spin this positively, saying doctors will cope by kicking routine care down to assistants and nurses with less training. It's an idea I generally support, but without tort reform, it's just litigation waiting to happen. This scheme will last about as long as it takes an ambulance chasing attorney to sue a doctor for negligence for relying on an assistant to perform a test he should have performed himself.

Under ObamaCare, your quality of care will diminish somewhat and your taxes will go up a lot.

Hat Tip: DFC... and there's some funny sh-t there.
