Airstrip One to Screen 1 in 5 Workers as Potential Pedophiles

Moonbat-Run Albion --- using the typical Moonbat approach to public safety --- is going to treat millions of innocent people as potential pedophiles; because that is so much more rational and enlightened than enacting brutal penalties on the much smaller number of people who actually are child molesters.
And not just teachers or day care workers... builders, tradesmen, speech therapists, Sunday School teachers... anyone who even potentially has contact with children in the course of their work is subject to the new regulations.
In all, more than one in five of the adult population will have to undergo checks to work in 'regulated activity' for a 'regulated activity provider' - the official phrase for any organisation which has dealings with children or vulnerable adults, from Scout troops to hospitals....
Organisations ranging from Brownie groups to ballet schools will face fines of £5,000 if they mistakenly use a volunteer who turns out to have been barred under the scheme....
The new rules, developed in the wake of the murders of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman by Ian Huntley in Soham in 2002, will come into operation this year, but critics have pointed out the £200million programme would not have prevented the girls' deaths.
So, the scheme will 1. Cost a fortune to implement, 2. Treat innocent people like criminals, 3. Discourage volunteerism and community involvement, 4. Vastly increase the power of the state bureaucracy and 5. Fail to solve the problem it was meant to address.
A socialist progressive paradigm if ever there was once.
