46% of Doctors Would Consider Leaving Medicine if ObamaCare passes

Posted by Gregory of Yardale at March 17, 2010 7:29 AM

Doctors --- bashed by Chairman Zero for allegedly performing unnecessary surgery just for the money --- are not thrilled about the prospect of becoming, essentially, DMV employers if ObamaCare passes.

  • 46.3% of primary care physicians (family medicine and internal medicine) feel that the passing of health reform will either force them out of medicine or make them want to leave medicine.
  • 36% of physicians would not recommend medicine as a career, regardless of health reform. 27% would recommend medicine as a career but not if health reform passes.
  • 62.7% of physicians feel that health reform is needed but should be implemented in a more targeted, gradual way, as opposed to the sweeping overhaul that is in legislation.

Doctors realize they will be micromanaged by bureaucrats under this plan. The bureaucrats will forbid them to recommend tests and procedures that the trial lawyers will sue them for not recommending.

They're screwed from both sides.

As I have said, if you want more, better, cheaper health care... you have to make it more profitable, not less. The Obamacrats FAIL basic economics.

Also, left-wing kook Dennis Kucinich has decided to vote for the bill; which should give lie to the talking point that progressives hate the ObamaCare Bill.

No matter how many times we kill ObamaCare, it just comes back next week.
