Lying and Smearing Are the Democratic Way

So, if you were a Democrat, and your nominee for Senate in a Massachusetts was a clueless dingbat who:
- Claims there are no terrorists in Afghanistan .
- Whose foreign policy credentials consist of having a sister who lives overseas
- Who has a record as district attorney that includes keeping an innocent man locked up while letting a guy who raped a toddler with a curling iron walk
- Who can't even spell the state she wants to represent
- Who insults Bruins/Red Sox fans while reinforcing her image as an out-of-touch elitist who would rather canoodle with rich lobbyists than shake hands with her constituents
- Who insults another key constituency by saying Catholics should not work in emergency rooms
... what would you do?
Would you take the high road, and mount a vigorous defense of your candidate and her policies?
No, if you were an amoral, and desperate Democrat, you'd just mail millions of copies of a sleazy campaign pamphlet making the wild claim that Scott Brown wants medical care denied to rape victims.
Update: Democrat Bob Kerrey claims Scott Brown doesn't believe in evolution. There is no proof of this beyond the desperate need of Democrats to smear and stereotype Republicans.
The big problem for Coakley --- And Democrats in general --- is the sheering force caused by the gaps between the views of the far left elites that run the Democrat Party and the view of the majority of voters, even rank and file Democrat voters.
For example, the elites want to force religious hospitals and hospital workers to perform abortions. The majority of voters think the kind of religious exceptions Scott Brown favors are reasonable. The far left elites think they need to pass their horrible health care bill at all costs. The majority of voters would rather hold of until a good bill could bill can be written. The far left elites think out-of-control spending is great as long as they're the ones spending. The majority of voters want spending restrained.
And on and on and on.
Martha Coakley perfectly embodies the arrogance, the out-of-touch cluelessness, and the zealous obeisance to far left ideology that mark the modern Obamunist Democrat party.
