West Point cadets wait through the degrading farce of being used as a prop for Chairman Zero's long-awaited excuse for a decision on Afghanistan:

Too bad we can't get our Community Organizer in Chief to set down Rules for Radicals long enough to read that book about killing bin Laden.
On a tip from nancz.

But if we kill him, how will we get him on the faculty at U-Illinois?

Look at how serene the cadet with the book is and how uncomfortable the cadet in the lower right of the frame looks. It's enough to make you wonder if being made to sit through one of O's speeches without some sort of distraction is a violation of the Geneva Convention.

Wow, there's an interesting stone to throw - How well, exactly, did flat-earth society hero Chimpo McFlightsuit do with that whole 'Bin Laden" task, eh?
The desperation to turn every moment, every word, every facial muscle movement of our CinC into something stupid and mischaracterized is the reason that the other 80% of the electorate laughs at you people... just so you're aware.

Compare and contrast President Wussy McTimetable with Lt. Col Alan West.
While serving in Taji, Iraq on August 20, 2003 as commander of the 2d Battalion 20th Field Artillery, 4th Infantry Division, Lieutenant Colonel West was in charge of the interrogation of an Iraqi police officer who was suspected of having information about planned attacks on American forces. According to the Iraqi police officer, Yehiya Kadoori Hamoodi claimed that during the interrogation, soldiers under West's supervision assaulted him attempting to get him to talk.
The police officer insisted that he did not know anything about planned attacks and was loyal to the United States Army. However, when the detainee didn't talk, Lieutenant Colonel West fired his 9mm pistol close to the man's head and at this point, the man, according to some mainstream media such as CNN (http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/12/12/sprj.nirq.west.ruling/), gave information about a planned ambush, resulting in its being thwarted. According to West, there were no further ambushes on U.S. forces in Taji until he was relieved of command on October 4, 2003.

And another interesting stone to throw "being made to sit through one of O's speeches without some sort of distraction is a violation of the Geneva Convention" - since this most recent speech was a literal clone of a W speech a few years back. Look it up. Or watch Jon Stewart last night. It's free online, and he does it for you...
Or... keep saying things that prove how uninformed you are. And by all means keep forming loud opinions about those things you don't comprehend. Which we all know is more your speed.

Now that you mention it, "Chimpo McFlightsuit" was met with raucous cheering when he spoke to the Cadets (as opposed to speaking to the country using the Cadet Corp as a prop). This time the academy leadership had to "remind" the Cadets to cheer.
"80% of the electorate laughs at you people". Really? The polls tell a different story. Wrongfully of course. He's been SO successful in his first year.
btw shitbird, President Georg Bush is a veteran and trained military pilot. He has won the right to wear a flight suit.
Posted by: metprof at December 3, 2009 9:04 AM
The reader in the picture is sporting a CIB, ARCO, GCM, and an NDM (along with others) meaning he was an enlisted man prior to attending the Academy.
And that was a very good book, btw.

The desperation to turn every moment, every word, every facial muscle movement of our CinC into something stupid and mischaracterized...
We don't have to turn those things, they come that way out of the hollow box and empty suit. That's what makes this whole tragicomedy, libsquit.

Anon, I haven't compared the two speeches but I CAN tell you the difference: When Bush spoke, people believed he meant what he said. When Obama speaks, people know its for show and he's lying. Same words, different effect. See, once you lose your credibility, you never get it back. Obama has been lying ever since he began his first campaign, and he just can't help himself. It's outrageous that our President lies to us daily, but he is what he is. (Don't ask me what...I might tell you.)

My my anon you're being awfully snarky today, what's wrong? Did you poke a hole in your obama inflatable doll?

As I watched the late news Tuesday night, and they showed a cutaway shot of the Westpoint cadets, sitting stoically and pretending to listen, I couldn't help but think, what they were really thinking. I really didn't pay that much attention. The channel I watched spent at least the first 8 minutes yammering about the cold front and how much snow was going to fall overnight in Denver, as if this was the first time snow had fallen in the month of December. Their second story was about Obama's speech. That was the Fox station. The Denver NBC station led with Obambi's teleprompter reading, that's when I changed channels. The weather story on the Denver Fox station was more interesting. By the way, it was 10 degrees outside here in my western Colorado town when I woke up this morning. Today's forecast high is 25 degrees.

These kids are brilliant, they know they are being used as props. Look how uneasy the cadets look, save for the one reading that book.
Posted by: Jay B at December 3, 2009 10:53 AM
These AMERICANS have more intelligence, more ethics more morals, more integrity and more honest hardworking goodness than the whole Obama administration. Anon go suck a grenade you punk. You don't have a freakin clue what superior souls these men have.

"My Pet Goat" and we would not be in this mess. Cute how leave out the part of this story where it states "A U.S. Army cadet reads a book entitled "Kill Bin Laden" as he waits with other cadets for U.S. President Barack Obama"
"When Bush spoke, people believed he meant what he said." LOL! We hardly knew if it was english.

Yes because had Bush put that book down in a timely manner, he would've been able to put on his POTUS cape & costume (Now with bionic vision and kung-fu grip!) and flown off to save the day!

Obama's teleprompter speaks impeccable English, I'll give you that.

Obama said he wanted to bring the war to an "irresponsible end"? LOL, that's funny!
Posted by: Judith M. at December 3, 2009 12:08 PM
Who is this "Bush" you speak of?

Obama was right. The military makes for great photo ops.

Obama was right. The military makes for great photo ops.
If that's all Obama values them for, then I guess they figured out they might as well make the most of it. "If you're doing the time, you might as well commit the crime," goes the saying.

Anoy: when I was growing up my father Col. US Army ( ret) told me that if you write something and are afraid to put your name on it then you are both a moral and phyicial coward. Moral humans take responsiblity for what they write and say.
I would direct you to the Duty, Honor, Country speech by Douglas MacArthur to the Corps of Cadets as an example of everything your exalted ruler is not.
His appearance there dishonored all the memebers of the Long Grey Line that have kept you free so you can develop into a idiot.
Posted by: gibbswtr at December 3, 2009 1:34 PM
gibbs, have you noticed this is just a blog? If it is bugging you so much to know who I am have goy pull the ip. Obama is nobody's ruler, he is our President, like Bush was, like Clinton was etc. Those of you here suffering from Obama derangement syndrome make the 9/11 truthers look like true thinkers...nah, you are both idiots! Why don't you define "Commander in Chief" for the class gibbs.
Posted by: Anonymous at December 3, 2009 1:46 PM
0bama in no way is a Commander In Chief. Why the hell has he cut military funding then if that's the case? Why berate our soldiers in Iraq while making this "historic" speech. BJ Bill Clinton may have "loathed" the military, but he pretended way better than 0bama.
BTW, here's a comparision for ya, anonopussy.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIHz5tevLAw
Maybe the response comes from 0bama being honest with his feelings about the military.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrW4fOGIMVY
The Iraqis we freed also have a message for 0bama.

ZeroBama is not a wartime president. Hell, the guy probably sucks at playing Risk too. Our troops who give so much deserve a hell of a lot better. God Bless those who are and who have served our country with honor and courage.
