Morning Briefs: Stuff You've Almost Definitely Heard About by Now, But Not From Me
Posted by Gregory of Yardale at December 8, 2009 6:37 AM
Good Morning Patriotic Americans, Good Morning Bitter, Angry Lefties Who've Been Forced to Register,
Item Number One: Newsweek has lost 50% of its readership, 47% of its ad revenue, and $30 million. Some are predicting it won't survive 2010. Maybe that whole becoming a one-note propaganda rag for Obama thing isn't the brilliant idea Newsweek's editors thought it was.
Item Number Two: By now you've heard of course that the taxpayer funded Democrat talk radio network known as NPR admonished one of its premier fluffers, Mara Liasson, for appearing on the evil Fox News Network, and pressured her to stop appearing there. Apparently, it would be easier for the liberal media to push the "Fox News is one-sided" meme if they could get their liberal reporters to stop, um, appearing on it to express the liberal side.
Item Number Three: Did you know the Obamas originally decided not to display the traditional manger scene as part of the White House Christmas decorations? I guess Barry couldn't bear the competition.
Item Number Four: A deranged lefty threw a tomato at Sarah Palin and... of course... missed. MSDNC is already asking if he can sub for Maddow over Christmas.
Um, I haven't got a stinger. I'm sorry about that. I suck. If I come up with something later today, I'll add it in. Fair? In the meantime, here's a link to an old, NQSFW Red Dwarf clip.
Update: OK, Here's a stinger. From the "Ipecac Headlines" File:
