Moonbat Traffic Lights Pose Serious Traffic Hazard

The loony eco-leftists couldn't have thought of a better, more subtle way to inconvenience John and Jane Q. Public in Wisconsin than to inflict "high efficiency" LED traffic lights upon them.
Some Wisconsin communities that have installed high efficiency traffic lights are discovering the energy-saving bulbs are a hazard in a snow storm.
City officials say the LED lights use less electricity and don't give off enough heat to melt ice or snow. So when the snow falls and the wind blows, the traffic lights are obscured.
That's led to some traffic crashes at intersections where drivers aren't sure whether to stop or go. [...] City crews have manually been scraping the ice and snow off the traffic lights. Public works officials say the LED lights have saved thousands of dollars in monthly power bills.
For (pinkie to chin) thousands of dollars in government savings on monthly power bills, the intrepid citizens of some municipalities in Wisconsin and who knows how many northern states are having to fork out at least thousands of dollars in repairs, increased auto insurance rates, and lost work time. Plus, government employees must work extra hours in order to clean up the mess caused by the problem, while the root cause of the problem remains.
Does this sound like a government solution to you? Just wait until they take charge of your health care.
Observation: The DC metro area is under at least 20" of snow right now, the first such snowfall in years of this magnitude and this early in the season. Copenhagen is also getting pummeled with a blinding snowstorm in an even more atypical December weather event. I wonder if these pretty little LED traffic lights are being used in these key Global-Warming-Is-Real Centers of Brilliance -- and if any of the high priests of this cult are, therefore, in danger.
