Chris Matthews: West Point is the "Enemy Camp"
Posted by The MaryHunter at December 1, 2009 7:48 PM
Chris Matthews, who fantasized on air about killing Rush Limbaugh, now backs off his violent tendencies. Instead, he disparages that violent, non-Obot bastion of militarism, West Point:
Any guess as to why Obama didn't feel the love from West Point cadets? Perhaps their uniforms were too tight for them to tune into that tingle.
On a twip from CO2HOG, via Breitbart.tv .
Comments
Maybe REAL military people aren't impressed by their phony baloney commander in chimp - I mean chief.
Posted by: ed at December 1, 2009 7:54 PM
The Cadets were wrong, Chris Matthews is still wiping the goo from his panties.
Posted by: Eneils Bailey at December 1, 2009 7:56 PM
Gee, if you're skeptical of Obama, you are part of the "enemy". How interesting. WEST POINT, Chris. You aren't worthy enough to say the NAME, much less cast aspersions on America's finest.
(As an aside, I wonder why those brave and honorable men were "skeptical" and less than "warm" to Barack Hussein Obama? They must be racists.)
Exile from this great country would be too good for you Matthews. You are an embarrassment to those of us who call ourselves American.
Posted by: Wyatt's Torch at December 1, 2009 7:57 PM
I taught history for a year at West Point. The Cadets are, as a whole, pretty sharp kids. They recognize a phony when they see one.
Posted by: Uchuck the Tuchuck at December 1, 2009 7:58 PM
The cadets knew that they were just a photo-op for the Ditherer-in-Chief. The Military resent the HELL out of Obama because they know that he merely tolerates them inasmuch as they serve his political ends. And alluding to a timeline telegraphs his total lack of commitment. Armed forces do NOT want lack of commitment in a president.
Posted by: pomalom at December 1, 2009 8:00 PM
BTW, I have a first cousin (once removed) in WP as a pleeb. God bless him if he had to sit through that condescending crap.
Posted by: pomalom at December 1, 2009 8:02 PM
"Enemy Camp"? Fuck you, Tweety Bird. Those are America's finest young soldiers out there and they know Obama was only there for the opportunistic chance at showing he doesn't totally loathe the military.
And whatever happened to WINNING the war? Just give them a "timeline" regardless of whether we're victorious or not against the enemy? Fuck you too, Obama.
Posted by: Atomic Lib Smasher at December 1, 2009 8:07 PM
The military values system, particularly as summed up in the West Point motto of "Duty, Honor, Country" is the direct opposite of what your typical neofascist Moonbat stands for, as is the Army value of "Selfless Service".
This is particularly true of the narcissistic do-nothing poser currently occupying the White House, and the dimbulbs he has surrounded himself with.
Posted by: TonyD95B at December 1, 2009 8:07 PM
I'm more interested in knowing what the left thinks about Obama closing the speech with, "...and God bless the United States of America."
Posted by: J at December 1, 2009 8:18 PM
I am demanding a list of words that a person (especially a leftist) is not allowed to say. These words demand that you earn the right to say them...and that price is higher than most of us are willing to pay:
West Point
Valley Forge
Fort Sumter
First and Second Manassas
Gettysburg
Utah Beach
Omaha Beach
Anzio
The Ardannes
The Bulge
Midway
Kwajalein
Iwo Jima
Guadalcanal
Corregidor
Tulagi
...just to name a few.
Brave men gave "the last full measure of devotion" for those names. Mr. Matthews hasn't earned the privilege of uttering them in public.

Let me amend something. Obama, like it or not, is President. So I guess he can say what he wants. He looked pained tonight, so I get the feeling he was not exactly thrilled to give that speech. But in any case, he's the President.
Chris Matthews, on the other hand, is a worthless MSNBC shill that has no reason to exist. Like Olbermann. And Maddow. And MSNBC itself.
Posted by: Wyatt's Torch at December 1, 2009 8:48 PM
Obama is a false prophet. I am not amending jack. He is leading us to the abyss.

Posted by: Tong at December 1, 2009 8:54 PM
Actually I do Tong. But I was more amused by Wyatt's presumption that he could "demand" that an American couldn't say something. I can't wait to see the right wing patriotism test that allows people to talk.
By the way, it's the Ardennes.

I feel really bad for the 30,000 kids who know they're going to go die or get injured so Obama can look tough enough to hold onto some of the political middle, before his obvious intended end-result of bringing home the troops in defeat in 18-24 months, which he will then blame on Bush, the announcement to come on a Saturday night, followed by a Vanity Fair cover story on Michelle's new fashion ideas.
Posted by: mega at December 1, 2009 9:23 PM
I salute your service. One of the things you were protecting in serving our country was the right for people here to say whatever they want, including words like Gettysburg, Omaha Beach, West Point and Valley Forge.
Care to tell me I have not "earned" that right?

Posted by: Lao at December 1, 2009 9:27 PM
It's not surprising that on one of the rare times Matthews takes Obama's dick out of his mouth, he does it to disparage our finest military cadets because they weren't as "tingled" as he gets every time Obama opens his mouth. What an out of touch, sycophantic, clack-dish.

My take, in all honesty, Tweety was referring West Point as being a 'Republican Enclave'; the enemy camp to a silly Democrat, rather than an enemy to America. And I have to admit that Obama IS "the enemy" in West Point. They understand that their CIC is a lying pussy.
God Bless our party system. Now if we can just get the number of parties beyond ONE...

Additionally, the men in those battles made a choice to serve and die. Lao and I are trying to say that is not a reason to fall down and bow to them. Appreciate their sacrifice, yes. Emulate them? No thanks.
We on the left believe something greater; that human life is worth more than anything else. You wingnuts will dump anybody or anything into the meatgrinder to satisy your death-cult desires.
To create a constant stream of cannon fodder the Right has created a sick Cult of "Heroes" that the rest of us are supposed to follow to our doom. Thank you but progressives have more to live for than your twisted, grotesque plans for us.
West Point is no more than the beginning of a large funeral march of thousands of young, impressionable dipshits to their bloody and ignorant end.
We can do better.

It shows just how much Repugs care about America when they worship only those who have died in American wars. Wars created by Repugs.
And so it goes around and round. Repugs foist "heroic" soldiers on impressionable youth. They enlist. Repugs have a new stream of cannon fodder. They die, and become new "heroes".

Fuck you, and your anonymous boyfriend there, Bitchboy. If you asswranglers thought human life was worth something, than you wouldn't be on the side of infanticide. Also, you wouldn't be on the side of pacifism which has lead in the past to people like Hitler and other mass murderers like Ho Chi Ming and the Khmer Rouge. You claim to support life, yet when someone like Mumia or Clemmons takes lives, you coddle them... plus the slap on the wrist punishments most vermin get.

And yet again Anonyfag reveals himself to be a gigantic asshat who is unfathomably clueless as to the most rudimentary workings of the real world.
For most of history, the greater part of humanity has lived with the threat of assault from foreign raiders, slavers or conquering armies hanging perpetually over them. You do not get to opt out of this situation by "believing in something better", or by being a sanctimonious elitist prick. The only reason your weenie ingrate ass sleeps safe at night is precisely due to the "sick death cult" at places like West Point that clueless contemptible little fucks like you love to sneer at.
Or to put it in the words of someone who says it better than I: Orwell had to deal with pathetic ivory tower dwelling beta weenies such as yourself during the 30s and 40s. This is what he had to say about people like you:
"pacisifm is objectively pro-Fascist. This is elementary common sense. If you hamper the effort of one side you automatically help the other..."
"The idea that you can somehow remain aloof and superior from the struggle... is a borgeois idea born of money and security."
"they [leftists] do not as a rule condemn violence as such, but only violence used in defence of western countries. The Russians, unlike the British, are not blamed for defending themselves by warlike means, and indeed all pacifist propaganda of this type avoids mention of Russia or China..."
"Those who 'abjure' violence can only do so because others are committing violence on their behalf."
"I do not share the average intellecual's hatred for his country nor am I dismayed by a British victory"
"Another marked characteistic of [leftist intellectuals] is the emotional shallowness of people who live in a world of ideas and have little contact with physical reality"
"Pacifist propaganda usually boils down to saying that one side is as bad as the other, but if one looks closely at the writings of younger intellectual pacifists, one finds that they do not by any means express impartial disapproval but are directed almost entirely against Britain and the United States."

Projection, Larry. Look it up. You on the left butchered over 100 million last century in purges, wars, and artificial famines, all for an ideal. You slaughtered millions more in ill-advised attempts to "save the planet" such as the DDT ban. Time and again your policies result in death, and when confronted on it you deny and claim you didn't intend for that to happen.

This is no suprise, liberals hate the US, its military in particular. Its laughable when they say the "support the troops". They only say that in public because most of the American people support them. But, behind the scenes, they will undermine them in any way possible. They view anyone joining the military as a traitor - unless of course they are like Major Hasan. Major Hasan is a hero to them - though few will say it in public.

My uncle was on Mt Suribachi for the raising of the flag, among many other places in the Pacific. I've seen his rising sun flag with names of islands stencilled on. He's still with us, but probably not for much longer. Another uncle was one of the Marines surrounded in Korea.
My son had a school trip to DC this fall, and has a Boy Scout trip to West Point next year. Fortunately he wasn't confronted by this waste of flesh obama the first time, and the only people he should see at West Point are the good guys that belong there.
The left claims to value life, so why do so many of their policies result in abject misery and death? It can be only a death cult that takes abortion as a sacrament. WWI was Wilson's. WWII was FDR's. Korea was Truman's. Vietnam was Kennedy's and LBJ's. True, the first couple were from the outside, but nothing since has compared to any of those.
Wyatt may have gone off a bit on the right of some of these douchebags to say some of these words. It's an emotional reaction that's not really defensible, but Lao, you should be well used to that where you come from. Tweety should, however, be too ashamed of himself to speak them, but then that's exactly the kind of person that's incapable of feeling such shame. He makes a fool of himself on a daily basis.

Yes Lao, It's always those damn warmongering Repugs that keep ruining everything. We need some more of those peace loving liberals.
Let's bring back at some of the Democrats that brought us such peaceful memories as these:
1.WWII (405,00 U.S. deaths)
2.The dropping of the Atomic Bombs (150,00 Japanese deaths)
3.Japanese Internment Camps (110,000 Japanese Americans)
4.The Korean War (36,500 U.S.deaths)
5.The Bay of Pigs
6.Vietnam War (58,000 U.S deaths)
7.The My lai massacre (killing of over 400 unarmed Vietnamese civilians)
8. Mogadishu (43 U.S. deaths)
9. Bosnia (12 U.S deaths)
10. Kosovo (20 U.S.deaths)
11. The bombings of Iraq in the 90's. (By the way, what were the targets? Were they Carbon emissions factories?)
Oops, I almost forgot Waco (more than 80 men, women and children)
Damn those death loving Repugs!

Read what else Tweety said,
“I think it’s true of most wars,” Matthews said. “They start with a lot of excitement. I remember the scene in ‘Gone with the Wind’ where the rebels are so excited about going to war with the North, a country they can’t beat because of its industrial advantage and population advantage. They are going to lose that war eventually.”
The man is so dim he thinks 'Gone with the Wind' was a historical documentary.
And you wonder why most lefties think Al Gore is a scientist.

For the record, this thread is a perfect example of how name highjacking can utterly twist and ruin a perfectly good discussion, not to mention, get a bunch of people upset at the words of an imposter.
My final post last night was the anonymous comment at 10:14 that listed previous highjackings in my name. Since then, there have been many more that some of you, in good faith, have responded to.
I say again, you are being played for fools by one of your own. I encourage you to identify the highjacker(s) by I.P. address.
J. has been previously identified and he confessed to his highjacking role. I have no idea if he has resumed it.
Any further posts by "Lao" on this thread will be bogus as I have activities that will take me out for the day.
Good luck.

It occurs to me that a big part of the reason Lao is so often name-jacked is because his whining about it is much more amusing than the usual hackneyed left-wing crap that he posts.
Posted by: Anonymous at December 2, 2009 10:10 AM
lao I have a great idea. Keep your dumbass out of this website and then you won't have to worry about it.

Lao is a whiny bitchboy.

Yes! Yes! I confessed to the dastardly atrocity!
I have no idea if he has resumed it.
Well sure, it's fun. Though I'm not responsible for all them. A lot of them are pretty funny though, I wish I were.

You want to know how someone on the left feels about it?? Which part of "Sounds good to me" did you fail to understand?

And yet, when George W. Bush ended a speech with "...and God bless the United States of America" the Left just loved to screech OMYGODHESTRYINGTOTURNTHISCOUNTRYINTOANTHEOCRATICSTATEANDWILLREPEALOURRIGHTTOABORTOURSELVES!!!!!!1111!!!!!!!!

Karin,
Thank you for your post.
It pained me to bring up my deceased father and the stupidity and indecency of Chris Matthews in the same post.
I would like to say that my father was a quiet hero. He served the US Navy for over 23 years on the USS Texas and the Bunker Hill, and never said a word about his exploits, until he turned 90, and then he told me one holiday weekend about friends that had died in his arms after the Japanese Kamakazi attack on the Bunker Hill on May 19, 1945, about hearing an incoming zero everyday of his life from that day on, and about the fire that came through while he was below deck, a fire that singed his lungs and ultimately led to his death on March 6, 2009.
Last year when Dad started getting pneumonia, my brothers and I took him to the hospital and had his lungs x-rayed. The radiologist came out to us and said, "what happened to your father? His lungs are scarred, and I've never seen lungs with this much scar tissue."
It would be the result of that combat on that bloody day in May of 1945 that would eventually claim my father's life almost 64 years later.
In closing I'd like to say how much we all miss him. And forgive me for getting so far off topic.

Perhaps Tweety should drag his fat lard-laden ass to the WII memorial, an in Washington D.C. look at the 4,000 stars on the wall representing 400,000 lives lost during the war and then go over to the Pentagon and tour the Sept. 11, memorial, oh and Arlington Cemetery while he's in the neighborhood. He would probably have a "coughing fit" (to cover his hysterical laughter.) What a doofuss-ass.

The Observer: Thank you for sharing your story. It takes great courage to share a personal, touching story about your dad in a widely-read blog such as Moonbattery. You are among friends, a strong cadre of patriots. Earlier this year, I was sitting in the waiting room at the medical building waiting for my appointment. I saw a man, at least in his mid-eighties, hobble in using a cane, with someone along to help him probably a family member or the driver of the van that transports the community's elder citizens to stores, appointments etc. He was wearing a beautiful gold-colored jacket with a nickname embroidered on it and a picture of an embroidered P-38 Lightning fighter plane. More than likely, he was a WWII veteran. I thought of how neat it would be to talk with him and hear his stories about his service during the war. But as with your dad, these stories are not often easily shared, especially with total strangers. I felt honored just to be near him. His wait was not long, and he soon hobbled his way to his appointment along with his caretaker and a nurse who treated him with the utmost of respect. For me, it was experience that I will not forget that was simple yet meaningful to know that he served his country with honor. I share in Karin's sentiments, and honor your dad's service.

We on the left believe something greater; that human life is worth more than anything else.
Posted by: Anonymous at December 1, 2009 11:13 PM
OMG you hypocritical lying scumbag turd. No wonder you posted that as "Anonymous," in order to avoid responsibility for posting such utter crap. Your Leftist bullshit (but I repeat myself) fools no one. In fact, I nominate your comment as the Bullshit Award of the Day.
You leftists care about life? Yeah, in addition to the already-mentioned your worship of assorted terrorists, murderers, and rapists as well as your hardcore devotion to killing the unborn since 1973, your POS-OTUS and his US Preventive Services Task Force has recently decided that women don't need mammograms OR even clinical/self breast examinations! The medical community is outraged, and rightly so, at this boneheaded move, and half the population (women) are terrified. Way to go, Dumocrat assholes.
While it's statistically true that older women are at greater risk for breast cancer, the disease is actually more aggressive (and more deadly) in younger women. But hey, less of those pesky women to treat when they die of the 2nd most common cancer in women, because it could have been treated in its early stages had your side allowed screening, and Big Government gets to keep that money that was "saved or earned."

How can you bitch and whine like a baby that your name has been hijacked when you use "anonymous"? You blithering idiot.

Hey "real" Betula at 11:33.... nice try!
I distinctly said at 10:55, that futher posts with my name, would either be from me or an imposter posing as me impostering myself.
Not once did I say anything about a "real" Betula, which proves that you are an imposter.
Furthermore, I don't borrow or take handouts. Those Dolls were purchased with my own hard earned money.

Nunya @ 12:32.
You make a good point, but don't forget the obvious hypocrisy...
Anony. claims libs believe "that human life is worth more than anything else" correct?
Yet, they also believe that it is too many humans that are creating a sustainability problem, in addition to being the contributing factor to Global Warming....
So what they are saying is.... we must stop Global Warming to save countless lives... this will ensure there are more people on the planet to exacerbate the problems that are going to kill them.

Sure there's an enemny camp: It's in the MSLSD newsroom and other newsrooms of our country's newspapers and in the TV network newsrooms and the offices of the WA compost, NY Slimes et. al. Not to mention, in our school and college classrooms with drug-addled pony-tailed moonbat professors spewing hatred and revisionist history to fit their politial ideas. Hows zat for an enemy camp?

Graycat,
Thank you so much for the kind words.
Reading your story about the WWII Vet made me think once again about my Dad. That generation might wear the occasional hat, and engage in some talk about their exploits during the Great War (the left loved this war because we were pulling Stalins' chestnuts out of the fire, and ultimately, it was a win/win for progressives. They won if international socialism triumphed [stalin], and they also won if national socialism carried the day [hitler, benito m.]) but for the most part, they hid their wartime experience from their loved ones.
I was deputized by my two brothers to approach Dad about ten years ago regarding a Purple Heart vanity plate for his car (Dad drove his car up to 6 months before he passed). When I told Dad that we were going to put the Purple Heart tag on his car, he said, "son, you and your brothers are not putting that on my car. And don't you all understand, I'm not a hero."
That was my Dad and his generation in a nutshell.

Observer...
Your father was part of the greatest generation....
Your story reminds me of my Dad who passed away 5 years ago.
He was a Marine Sergeant who fought on Tinian, Saipan and went in with the first wave at Iwo Jima.
Wounded on day 3, he layed on the Beach overnight and was put on a hospital ship in the morning.
From this ship he could see the flag raising on Mt.Suribachi as all the ships sounded their horns.
17 years old at the time.
Posted by: Betula at December 2, 2009 6:48 PM
That's "laid" on the beach. Don't ask, don't tell didn't exist at the time....
Posted by: Betula at December 2, 2009 6:56 PM
Betula,
I got goosebumps reading about your father. I am sorry you lost him 5 years ago, having lost Dad this year I can feel and understand your pride and pain.
My Dad was a corpman in the Navy, but he spent a great deal of his time working with Marines. He told me stories of the bravery of the Marines when they island hopped in the Pacific Theatre. I'll bet your Dad and mine would have had a lot to talk about.
Thank you for your Dad's contribution in keeping us free from the isms of their times, and thank you for sharing his story.

Don Imus offhandedly calls a few female college basketball players "some nappy headed hoes", during a daytime radio show after no special event, and gets canned after much debate, publicity, outrage and many apologies.
Chris Matthews offhandedly calls the entire student body of the United States Military Academy "the enemy camp", on prime-time television after a presidential speech, and says, oops, my bad. Story ends.
Does no one see the difference but me?
