Briefs of a Morning Variety

Posted by Gregory of Yardale at December 7, 2009 4:33 AM

Good Morning Princes of the United States, and Princesses of Canada,

Item Number One:
Wounded British soldiers at a Veterans Hospital on Airstrip One drew their curtains and refused to meet with moonbat Prime Minister Gordon Brown. The troops were fed up with politicians who gut the military, disrespect their mission, and only meet with them when they need a photo opportunity.

Gosh, that sounds kind of familiar.

Item Number Two: A death panel in California has chosen to end subsidies for mammograms for women between 40 and 50. I've always heard that in California, a woman over 40 might as well be dead, but now it's official state policy.

Item Number Three: Tiger Wood is racist because he married a white woman and cheated on her with other white women. So say several African-Americans in this Associated Press article. Maybe the NAACP should push for anti-Miscegenation laws to prevent this sort of thing from happening.

Item Number Four: AIDS-addled gay blogger Andrew "Milky Loads" Sullivan and paranoid fascist Charles "Nancy" Johnson announced last week they were officially men ... or something ... of the left and would have no more to do with the conservative right; thus dramatically increasing the average IQ of both sides.

The end of Little Green Footballs was forecast some time ago...

(Apologies if this is a little too inside baseball for some.)

tiger woods i have a dream speech

I have a dream that one day this 3 wood will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "it drives straight down the middle with a lot of backspin on it."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table in the clubhouse.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice from unfilled divots, sweltering with the heat of oppression from no covered rest benches, will be transformed into an oasis of green fairways, flat greens and smooth cart paths.

I have a dream that my 2 half white half black little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by their backswing but by the content of their scorecard.

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious sand-traps, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of
"mulligan" and "shanked it" -- one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black
girls will be able to drive in an escalade with little white boys and white girls as sisters and
brothers, and and pay the same greens fee.

I have a dream today! of no caller id on my cell phone.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, and every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and
the crooked places will be made straight; "and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together." (i just decided to leave this bit alone, it seems to already fit perfectly without any puns at all)

Last, best chance: UN climate conference opens

"COPENHAGEN – The largest and most important U.N. climate change conference in history opened Monday, with organizers warning diplomats from 192 nations that this could be the best, last chance for a deal to protect the world from calamitous global warming.

The two-week conference, the climax of two years of contentious negotiations, convened in an upbeat mood after a series of promises by rich and emerging economies to curb their greenhouse gases, but with major issues yet to be resolved.

Conference president Connie Hedegaard said the key to an agreement is finding a way to raise and channel public and private financing to poor countries for years to come to help them fight the effects of climate change.

Hedegaard — Denmark's former climate minister — said if governments miss their chance at the Copenhagen summit, a better opportunity may never come.

"This is our chance. If we miss it, it could take years before we got a new and better one. If we ever do," she said.

Denmark's prime minister said 110 heads of state and government will attend the final days of the conference. President Barack Obama's decision to attend the end of the conference, not the middle, was taken as a signal that an agreement was getting closer.

The conference opened with video clips of children from around the globe urging delegates to help them grow up in a world without catastrophic warming."

So they're using (seducing) kids to spread their propaganda now. Nice bunch.

"This is our chance. If we miss it, it could take years before we got a new and better one. If we ever do," she said.

She, of course, is talking about having a total fool for a U.S. President.

"This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth."

Inexperienced, immature, and in over his head!

Re: Item Number Two.
Ironically, in this (isolated) instance the death panels might actually save lives. I've heard there's evidence that the radiation involved in a mammogram actually creates more breast cancer than it detects. Now, I'm not sure this is true, as the natural health folks have their own agenda and their own products to push, but it does raise questions.

Regardless, however, that is certainly NOT the reason for California's decision, and it does foretell the horrors awaiting the whole nation if ObamaCare passes.

Love #4, how, the left in their strive to NOT be judgemental can't even determine their own GENDER! Hell, we could have told them they had none all along. ;-)
