Bolivian Nurses Forced to Wear Hijab
Posted by Gregory of Yardale at December 7, 2009 6:05 AM
The Iranian government provided $1.2 Million to build a hospital in Bolivia, but demanded that all female nurses at the hospital wear the hijab, an Islamic symbol of women's submission. The Bolivian government, under moonbat Chavista Evo Morales, happily complied. Iran's cultural imperialism and violation of women's freedom was roundly denounced by NOW, the New York Times, the Huffington Post and throughout the progressive left.
Just kidding. The Progressive Left doesn't give a damn about Iran executing homosexuals by the truckload and stoning women to death for adultery. Iran violates every standard of basic human rights, and the left still hates Sarah Palin more than Mahmoud Ahmadinnerjacket. Did you really think they'd object to making foreign women wear a symbol of Islamic submission?

Contrast -that- with graffiti written above the roll of toilet paper in restrooms at big-box stores in the US which reads: "Turban Dispenser"
@Jay B
Count on this hijab nonsense to stir trouble in most areas of the US.

When the saudis began endowing our major universities it soon became apparent they would have to sanction "izlamic studies" programs - yes, as Jay B mentioned, coming to a neighborhood near U.S.

Yardale says: "The Progressive Left doesn't give a damn about Iran...etc. etc."
Far right island dwellers will take Yardale at his word but there's an article currently on the main page at Huffington that decrys Obama's focus on nuclear issues with Iran to the detriment of human rights abuses there.

Wow. An article? An entire, single article? One complete post on a web site? A virtual crescendo of outrage that is.

Perhaps middle America might start listening to your message if you stopped protesting gay men being denied the "right" to wear miniskirts to the office, to protest real rights abuses in Iran, instead.

Something like 9 out of 10 of those nurses are Catholic.
Why are the Iranians so culturally insensitive? Where's the social justice for these oppressed nurses? Someone needs to contact the UN!
Oh wait, never mind...

Tone matters. "We wish President Obama would be more vocal about Iranian human rights concerns" is far removed from "We wish Sarah Palin would be gang-raped and die of cancer."

Yes, Lao - I have observed those fact checkers being employed on this story as we speak... no wait.
You do realize you'll be the first against the wall wherever the revolution comes, right? One way or the other?

You must tolerate and accommodate THEM...period. It's not a two way street with Islam.
Hey all you "Americans are Islamophobic racists" folks. Ever wonder why there is no outcry against Buddhists or Hindus or Sikhs or Zoroastrians?
Maybe it's because they don't want to KILL US and eliminate our culture from the face of the earth.
The first time I see a headscarf in a hospital is the day I check out!
