Jay, there are two reasons why it's a lot of black kids. The first is basically legit...it's got to be pretty heady to see the first black person elected to the highest office. I understand the pride that would engender, regardless of the politics. I get that.

The second reason is that it's the left's desire to make sure no minority breaks ranks. If you are a smart, articulate person of color, but happen to believe in conservative ideas, WHOA! You are destroyed in public. It's a shame the irony of that is lost on most in the black community.

It isn't about race, specifically, but demographics. Lower income, inner-city schools have, on average, less parental involvement than schools in the suburbs. They also attract teachers and bureaucrats from the local neighborhood, which in lower income areas, is disproportionately liberal. Under the guise of social justice, the troubled schools also receive a disproportionately high amount of grants and edu-pork, which is responsible for a lot of the moonbatty trends in education.

That also explains why this indoctrination isn't happening as often in schools with involved parents and a no-nonsense approach to education.

The teacher's unions have been teaching moonbattery instead of useful skills for decades now, and this indoctrination is just one symptom.

It is very disturbing for me to see children abused this way. It is not fair to any of them. What about the kid who might not like Obama or whose parents do not like Obama?
