Some have wondered what the value is of just halting minaret construction, saying it's only symbolic. The thing is, any time you stand up to Muslims in any manner, you WILL find out what they're made of, and likewise the Jihadists will come forward in force. This construction ban, along with these signs (gotta love 'em!!) will bring the roaches out into the light. Hopefully the Swiss will deal with them in the way that they're renowned for, and like some here have said, hopefully other Islamonazi-target lands (like the U.S.) will get with it.

You can sniff at the petty symbolism, as did the foppish WSJ today, but it is an important step.

No one made a bigger difference in the vile, corrupt, filthy streets of NYC until Guiliani came along and arrested squeege men.
The liberals screeched for weeks about it and then...whoa!
NYC started cleaning itself up. Imagine that.

"Symbol" or not....people need symbols to tell them that they don't necessarily have to let muslims flush them down the toilet headfirst. Occasionally, people have to have something to remind that they can stand up.

In any case, for Switzerland, the mountains will look a lot better without the minarets in the way.

This minaret ban is indeed hopeful.

By the time I retire, I want at least one capitalistic, democratic country I can go to without seeing a mosque on every corner.
Regrettably, I don't think it will be in the U.S.
