Spot the Racism
Posted by Gregory of Yardale at November 5, 2009 4:26 AM
The Progressive Left are masters of 'Magic Eye Racism.' They can look at a typical scene in which a normal person would perceive no hint of racism and by squinting at it, tilting their heads, focusing on a point behind it, they can find racism.
The AFL-CIO claims that this Anti-ObamaCare Advert created by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is racist. Can you see the racism?
Did you see the racism? Did you see the promotion of White Supremacy? Did you see the denigration of non-white races as inferiors who deserve to be discriminated against? Do you give up? OK, then go to Michelle Malkin to help Spot the Racism.

Bwahahahahahaha! Absurd.

It's easy, for the Liberals, if there is a minority included, in any way, it is racism. They're not even trying anymore, we've seen it with Clyburn and Sharpton. Black people in a scene? Racist. Talking about blacks, the content of the message doesn't matter, it's racist.

Well, I saw a white guy about to get laid off and a black guy still working.

I KNOW I KNOW! They're complaining it's racist against the white guy! That's it, right?
They just don't catch on too quickly, do they? The race card is maxed out, and they're in default. Resentment is building.

No, they're saying it's a slam against Affirmative Action; trying to roil up the white power base. The Chambers' response was both brief and emailed: "Really?"

What if there was a black guy who got fired? Racism! What if there were no blacks involved? Racism? Worse, if two blacks are involved, that's racism!

That's easy, it's exactly what the Democrats planned by getting a TOKEN black guy elected into office. If you are against anything they want you are automatically a "RACIST". They've been settiing this one up for decades.

Yep. The AFL-CIO believes that this ad had racial overtones because it stereotypes the idea that minorities have an advantage in the workplace because of affirmative-action policies. A spokesman for the AFL-CIO says, "This is the same old right wing dog whistle politics ... They're trying to use race and class to scare working people about a health care bill."
You know, of course, that there is no way to win with this advertisement. Let's consider the possibilities:
Boss fires white guy as other white employees look on. AFL-CIO then issues press release saying that this commercial promotes the idea of a whites-only workplace and is, therefore, RACIST!
Boss fires black guy with white co-workers looking on. AFL-CIO then issues press release saying that this commercial promotes the idea that black workers are the least worthy and, therefore, the ones that should be fired first and is, therefore, RACIST!
Boss fires black guy while black co-workers look on. AFL-CIO then issues a press release saying that this commercial promotes the idea that black workers have poor personal health habits which will create a huge strain for employers leading to firings over ObamaCare and is, therefore RACIST!
The "R" word has become a joke. Since it's a joke it should be made fun of, derided and played with. People who scream "racism" with a straight face should be looked upon as demented. Also, the medical community should designate a special type of Tourette's Syndrome; one that identifies afflicted people who yell "racist" every third breath.

Obviously Leftists have never heard the story about The Boy Who Cried Wolf from their father mother primary caregiver.
They have so overused "racist" and "racism" now that the words are meaningless, and pretty much filtered out by those of us who still have a functioning brain.
Which means that those rare instances of REAL racism will also be ignored as Just Another Thing That Liberals Whine About.
Law of unintended consequences

I thought it was obvious that when the black man looked at his co-worker go into the boss's office, he (a) knew what was going to happen and felt bad about it, and also thought (b) (cause I guess I'd feel the same way) gosh I hope I'm not next.
Not feeling the affirmative action angle.

weffiewonj, that was my feeling, too, based on the worried expression on the black worker's face.
