Spendulus Failures Updates

Item Number One: It's bad enough that Chairman Zero's crew decided to count raises given with stimulus money as jobs "saved" by the Stimulus. A count the White House defends thusly:
“If I give you a raise, it is going to save a portion of your job,” HHS spokesman Luis Rosero said.”
Now, you see why Chairman Zero wanted a creepy tax cheat in charge of the Treasury Department; he needed someone really good at fudging the numbers. But it gets worse, the vast majority of jobs "created or saved" were those of government bureaucrats. As an example:
“About two-thirds of the 14,506 jobs claimed to be saved under one federal office, the Administration for Children and Families at Health and Human Services, actually weren’t saved at all, according to a review of the latest data by The Associated Press. Instead, that figure includes more than 9,300 existing employees in hundreds of local agencies who received pay raises and benefits and whose jobs weren’t saved.”
It gets better, the Obamassiah apparently performed a "loaves and fishes" job creation miracle.
President Barack Obama's economic recovery program saved 935 jobs at the Southwest Georgia Community Action Council, an impressive success story for the stimulus plan. Trouble is, only 508 people work there.
Item Number Two: We know that Cash for Clunkers ended up costing $24,000 per car sold, and there is strong evidence that it did nothing but cannibalize sales from September and October, but the die-hard Obama culties still proclaim, "At least it helped the environment by getting those gas guzzlers off the roads."
“The single most common swap – which occurred more than 8,200 times – involved Ford F150 pickup owners who took advantage of a government rebate to trade their old trucks for new Ford F150s. They were 17 times more likely to buy a new F150 than, say, a Toyota Prius. The fuel economy for the new trucks ranged from 15 mpg to 17 mpg based on engine size and other factors, an improvement of just 1 mpg to 3 mpg over the clunkers.
Owners of thousands more large old Chevrolet and Dodge pickups bought new Silverado and Ram trucks, also with only barely improved mileage in the middle teens.
So, Cash for Clunkers was a massively expensive Government program that failed in its primary objectives. The Obamunists are citing it as a smashing success.

More fuzzy math on these stimulus jobs that were created/saved by federal stimulus money.
Buy nine pair of workboots and save nine jobs...?

You would think that with all the ridicule being heaped on the created/saved deal, they would just quietly cut it out. Instead, they keep crowing and crowing. Do they ever think "what's this doing to my credibility?"
Heard on the noon news that the new car configuration resulting from the C4C saved 2-1/2 hours of CO2 emmission, and that's that.

There was a story about how porkulus spending ($219,000.00) was used to fund a freshman womens sex study at Syracuse University.

With little more than a web cam and a good server, this study could have not only been made self funding, but could have turned a profit.
