Sarah Palin Smacksdown Clueless Joe Biden
Posted by Gregory of Yardale at November 2, 2009 1:16 PM
Proving once again that the Democrats are the party of invective and stupidity, Chairman Zero's vice president, Joe Biden, who think "jobs" is a three-letter word and that FDR went on television in 1929 to comfort Americans when the stock market crash, decided to slam Sarah Palin while speaking to a half-empty "rally" for Democrat Bill Owens in NY-23.
“The fact of the matter is, Sarah Palin thinks the answer to energy is ‘drill, baby, drill,’” said Biden. “It’s a lot more complicated, Sarah!”
As Sarah points out in her rebuttal, if it were up to dimwitted hacks like Joe Biden, our energy situation would be even more perilous than it is today.
The vice president’s extreme opposition to domestic energy development goes all the way back to 1973 when he opposed the Alaska pipeline bill. As Ann Coulter pointed out, “Biden cast one of only five votes against the pipeline that has produced more than 15 billion barrels of oil, supplied nearly 20 percent of this nation’s oil, created tens of thousands of jobs, added hundreds of billions of dollars to the U.S. economy and reduced money transfers to the nation’s enemies by about the same amount.”
This nonsensical opposition to American domestic energy development continues to this day. Apparently the Obama-Biden administration only approves of offshore drilling in Brazil, where it will provide security and jobs for Brazilians. This election is about American security and American jobs.
There’s one way to tell Vice President Biden that we’re tired of folks in Washington distorting our message and hampering our nation’s progress: Hoffman, Baby, Hoffman!
Under the radical neo-Marxist administration of Chairman Zero, domestic energy exploration has been halted. Leases to extract oil from Rocky Mountain shale and to explore for offshore oil have been revoked, while billions in loan guarantees have been extended to help Brazilians exploit offshore oil reserves. Why does Brazilian energy development not threaten the environment but American energy exploration does? Another question the Obamunist Cult can't give a good answer to.
Comments
15B bbl is 20% of our oil? Which of you fucktards thinks that is correct? (Coulter is possibly the dumbest of a giant army of ferociously stupid GOPers, but seriously folks... lets try just a tiny bit of actual data some day...)
Further, drilling offshore in Brazil is one thing, drilling for oil in the heads on Mount Rushmore is another. Drilling in national parks is stupid and shortsighted. Fuck them up, and that's it. No more natural beauty here in America.
I know you don't care about anything but yourselves... but try not to be so damned transparent about it. The rest of us live on earth too. And investing in solar/wind/tide/etc instead of just blindly despoiling our way through the remaining non-craptacular areas of America is important. But you of course are not that savvy about things like "Time". Your plan involves waiting for the rapture to get us... and ours does not.
Go shoot a wolf from a helicopter and stop pretending that you have a clue about (anything at all), Bible Spice.

The Brazil oil company, Petrobras, is backed by Obama's pal, George Soros, who has millions of shares. Notice how he was on the White House visitor's log? I'm sure he never met with Obama...no way. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601086&sid=aFHPjfeUvtl8

(are those multifarious personalities "stupid" because they continually point out how dumb you are? Or just because keeping track of more than 1 thing at a time hurts your brain?)

Go to the link (which is Gateway Pundit) and you'll see that CNN has reported:
"Former Vice President Joe Biden challenged Republican voters in New York’s 23rd congressional district to teach conservative “absolutists” a lesson..."
Former? HAHAHHAHA! They've since scrubbed it at CNN. Gateway's got it.
I know the venue, it's like a banquet hall. I was just there, and the fire dept posts its capacity at 250. It's for your medium-sized weddings and stuff.

Looks like a certain troll has been watching 'An Inconvenient Truth' and reruns of 'Captain Planet' a few too many times.
"Further, drilling offshore in Brazil is one thing, drilling for oil in the heads on Mount Rushmore is another."
Um, okaaay. Nobody said anything about drilling in the heads of Mount Rushmore. btw, I thought liberal ecokooks like you hated Mount Rushmore, viewing it as a vile defacement of the mountain or something!
" Drilling in national parks is stupid and shortsighted. Fuck them up, and that's it. No more natural beauty here in America."
Um, I guess here you're trying to talk about the proposal to drill in the ANWR preserve, as that's the kind of argument that most dirty hippies opposed to drilling there use, yet reveal what an idiot you are by doing so. First of all, the ANWR refuge is gigantic, 19.5 million acres. Under the current proposal for drilling set forth by oil companies, there would only be actual ground disturbance on 2,000 acres. That's just a tiny bit more than 1/10000th of the total area of the preserve, hardly enough to shatter the ecosystem. Second, it won't "Destroy the natural beauty" by drilling in the preserve's mountains, the drilling will occur in the flat, featureless, and relatively lifeless Coastal Plains section of the preserve.
"I know you don't care about anything but yourselves... but try not to be so damned transparent about it. The rest of us live on earth too."
Oh, so because we're interested in creating a bunch of new jobs (You know, so workers can provide for their families), putting a ton of money into our economy, and lessening our dependence on foreign oil (You know, so we won't have to keep pouring money into the pockets of our nation's enemies), that means we're selfish? You are so pathetic, just one brainless talking point after another.
"And investing in solar/wind/tide/etc instead of just blindly despoiling our way through the remaining non-craptacular areas of America is important."
Indeed they are, and worth looking into. However, at the moment, they are far too expensive and inefficient to realistically meet our country's energy needs on a large scale. So, until their development greatly improves and MAJOR progress is found, oil is all we really have.
"Go shoot a wolf from a helicopter"
Ah, and one of the left's favorite bogus lies about Sarah Palin. She has never shot a wolf from a helicopter. She approved of the use of it as governor, when it is done to lessen the population of the wolves to keep them from becoming overpopulated and thus throwing the ecosystem off balance.
Beat it, troll.

I live in NY23 and I work on Ft. Drum. Protecting jobs at drum is a fantasy. Scozzafava and Owen LIE! 4 combat divisions and an aviation brigade are low hanging fruit to dems that want to redistribute our wealth.

I love it how Brazil got over on Obama. Serves him right. Obama supports Brazilian Oil industry and then gets screwed by the IOC in favor of Brazil. hahahahhahahaha.

If we reject conservatives simply bc the media trashes them, they have some political missteps, have some family problems, come from a tough governorship and are good-looking, we might never have had Ronald Reagan.

Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.) warned on the House floor today that the country has more to fear from health care reform than from terrorism. Here's the clip.

this woman is one more joke, to day obama has asked the head of the black murders into the white house which is a joke its self.
Care in being looked at but the mulims are winning here in the USA and care has FBI/CIA and many others and local police are working against the people not the government but the people meaning whites who will not get in line for the death camps.

Anybody else here get the sneaking suspicion that Fred is a plant? Seriously, dude, get off your "race horse"... the other side uses that card, not us. Complain about policies, not the color of those who try to implement them.

Not to mention that grammar, punctuation, and spelling might be a good thing to look into if you really want to get a point acrossed...
Posted by: hiram at November 2, 2009 7:36 PM
a point acrossed is almost as good as a point well shaken, not stired.
er, stirred.

Is that why Democrats have created the biggest debt bomb in history and abandoned all pretence of a strong dollar policy?
Because you're good at thinking ahead?

"And investing in solar/wind/tide/etc instead of just blindly despoiling our way through the remaining non-craptacular areas of America is important."
Talk about despoiling! Dudes, do you have a windfarm in your area? I do, since Northern NY is the red headed step child of the state. "Stick 'em up there" they say. "Fuck 'em." It's a permanent monstrosity, cuisinarts the birds and bats, and it looks like a Sci Fi nightmare, not the beautiful pristine wildnerness of foresty north country. Take your windfarms and shove em. Ted Kennedy didn't want them in his backyard, either.
Posted by: Karin at November 3, 2009 6:48 AM
Not to mention, Karin, that the voltage drop in copper wire makes the wind turbines hugely inefficient. They want to put em in Lake Michigan along the western shore of Michigan. 12 Miles Out!!! Guess they never asked the Coast Guard why they remove all of the buoys from Lake Michigan every winter, seems there's this phenomenon called ice, that builds up. Wonder if Algore will get the job of putting them up and taking them down every year?

BUT it IS more complicated.
Sarah's catch phrases are getting old.

Just caught this, 'the voltage drop in copper wire makes the wind turbines hugely inefficient'
Would genuinely appreciate an explanation, if you are passing again UpNorth.
Posted by: Jim at November 3, 2009 12:55 PM
BUT it IS more complicated.
Needing more oil (because it keeps going back over $3/gallon for gas)...and going and getting more oil to meet the demand? It's more complicated than that?
Sarah's catch phrases are getting old.
Only if you refuse to see the truth in them. You're likely one of those who never liked her to start with, so who cares what you think about her "catch phrases?" Drilling in ANWR was first proposed in 1995, long before anyone heard of Palin.
Posted by: Cylar at November 3, 2009 1:49 PM
Jim I believe he is talking about attenuation.
Posted by: Farmer Ted at November 3, 2009 2:24 PM
Farmer Ted, you're right, just trying to make the point in my own (poor) way. I meant that the idea that a system that uses a turbine that is 12 miles from shore is not going to efficiently, or cost-effectively, push the electricity to shore for use.
Posted by: UpNorth at November 3, 2009 3:55 PM
Biden is correct.
