And yet, Sarah Palin's approval rating (47%) is higher than Obama's (46%) and much higher than Nancy Pelosi's (33%).
And that's even though the MSM are cheerleaders for Bammy and Granny Botox, while they smear Palin constantly. Chris Matthews was on MSDNC last night going on and on about how the crowds of people going to see Palin were mostly white.

Obama going sub-50 % on Gallup for first time ever today.
Probably too late to save us from socialist health care, but at least a small emotional victory or something.

Liberals' highest values, the things they really care deeply about, are freedom to have abortions, and freedom to engage in various sex acts that don't produce children. In time, this would take care of itself, by definition. The problem being that they might destroy everything before the clock runs out on their insanity.

This past summer, a family member described Sarah Palin as "dippy." Now, while this family member is certainly entitled to an opinion, I can't help but believe that opinion is based on the way the liberal, MSM portrays Sarah Palin.
Obambi says he is not going to read Palin's book. That's fine, there is no law requiring him to read it. However, if a liberal dumbass were to write a memoir/biography--Barnwey Fwank for example, Obambi would be the first in line (and probably the only one in line) to get a signed copy, and invite him to the White House for a "summit" and rip the seam in butt of his pants wide open when he bowed to him.

You gotta be kidding.
The left was so hell bent on bringing Bush down, that not only were they willing to sacrifice the country, they've nearly done it.
BTW If it turns out that BO tried to cover up money given to fellow black, Kevin Johnson (to pay off sex harrassment cases), by firing Gerald Walpin, that's a crime and an impeachable offense. I would guess that the left, or at least its propaganda arm, the MSM, would not like to see this investigation continued.
In contrast to the right bringing down the country, the criminality, economic incompetence and arrogance of BO and his administration will continue and will indeed "bring the country down" if he and his democratic congress aren't in some way, stopped.

"Bringing home the bacon. I know that’s a tough term. Some people never want to hear that. Well, guess what? Ted Kennedy did it for years, proudly, rightly, and I think if we don’t replace him with somebody who knows how to do it, this state will suffer."
How fitting that the Edward M. Kennedy Institute is being paid for with $20M (of $2.6B) raided from Military O&M, to pay for pork projects. Looting the military for legacy pork? Kennedy would be proud.
Money for the Kennedy Institute was inserted by Mr. Inouye and Sen. John Kerry, Massachusetts Democrat.

Chris Matthews was on MSDNC last night going on and on about how the crowds of people going to see Palin were mostly white.
That's probably because Sarah Palin is a conservative, and her supporters are mostly conservatives, and the non-white pressure groups have for years browbeaten non-whites into thinking they are race-traitors unless they side with the liberals. Hence, a mostly white crowd, through no fault of Sarah Palin's.
This is of course completely lost on Tweety and his big yellow head.
Posted by: CoderInCrisis at November 20, 2009 3:29 PM
OK, Liberals, please explain WHY our politicos have to be BRIBED when universal health care is such a "good" idea.
Don't forget that Bush ran in 2000 on a strong platform of fiscal responsibility and earmark reform. Once he took office, he began slashing the pork projects from the budget.
Then, as soon as he needed bipartisan support for war powers and war funding, he rolled out the pork barrel and so many of the war dissenters came on board. The Dems screamed about the war, and all its funding, but were happy to rubber stamp it in exchange for their own spoils.
Try getting liberals to understand that - their heads practically explode. They screeched for years about Bush trading "blood for oil", only to find out that their own representatives traded "blood for pork".
This is why pork is so dangerous. Regardless of how you feel about Iraq, or any other enormously important policy, pet projects should never make the difference in policy. Policies should stand on their own merits.
When a president who conducted himself as a fiscally conservative governor, and ran as a fiscally conservative president, throws the budget to hell, and the party of peace comes around to support a war they initially equated with murder, whatever is causing that influence - in this case, pork - must be extremely corrupting.
Health care, Iraq, etc. - none of these specific examples matter - the common thread is that so many people sold out what they believed in, be it left-wing or right-wing, to fund their own pet projects.

The SNL satire on that had Tina portraying Sarah and claiming she could see Russia from her house.

"...the Republican grassroots--a uniquely evangelical subculture defined by the personal crises of its believers and their perceived persecution at the hands of cosmopolitan elites.
By emphasizing her own crises and her victimization by the "liberal media," Palin has established an invisible, indissoluble bond with adherents of that subculture--so visceral it transcends any rational political analysis (indeed!). As a result, her career has become a vehicle through which the right-wing evangelical movement feels it can express its deepest identity in opposition both to secular society and to its representatives in the Obama White House. Palin is perceived by its leaders--and followers--not as another cynical politician or even as a self-promoting celebrity but as a kind of magical helper, the God-fearing glamor girl who parachuted into their backwater towns to lift them from the drudgery of everyday life, assuring them that they represented the "Real America." It was interesting yesterday to watch Jay Guevara and Lao go tete-a-tete over the 'Al "PhotoShop" Whore lies to sell books' thread.
Two rapid rejoinders, too mentally acute, too bright for my menial cranial. I humbly admit, I could never keep up with these two debaters, I simply don't have the intellectual horsepower and I'm not that mentally facile.
What I did notice however, from my lowly meat-and-potatoes, sluggish-synapse point of view, was a parallel between their verbal repartee and what I seem to experience in my conversations with my liberal friends (of whom I have many--I live near Seattle).
Like my lefty friends, Lao 'tends' to answer questions with a question and constantly injects scenarios and metaphors (and even blame), which I discern as a form of intellectual disingenuousness, as it consistently avoids having to state a firm stance, while it offers you opportunities to be right but offers you an 'escape hatch' to avoid responsibility or to be wrong.
Also, Lao has a subtle but tangible 'haughty' verbal repertoire which exposes his hidden predisposition to injecting subjective thought and personal views, however brilliant.
Jay however goes directly at an issue, takes a direct stance, and offers direct answers. I think sometimes he overshoots and exposes his honesty for the sake of his point, only to see his intellectual depth then fortify his point.
Like myself, my conservatives friends, and many on this website, he states a lot of the obvious (facts I believe we call them) and this is contradictory to liberals (Laoberals) who often believe feelings trump facts.
I guess what I'm saying is it was like watching a philosopher battle a scientist. As much as I love and enjoy the ethereal, in the long run I'm going to bet my life on the empirical.

Great cartoon. America’s elite and Palin-haters everywhere should not be so quick to dismiss or disregard the future of Sarah Palin. No other national political figure so completely fills Middle America’s vacuum of frustration and hate for the Left and Right as Sarah Palin.
Middle America has been abandoned by the Left and Right, who have saddled it with a $700 billion taxpayer bailout, an unnecessary and costly war, a soaring deficit, and an overall neglect of the pocketbook issues that impact Middle America every day. Where are job creation, quality public education, affordable healthcare, and fiscal responsibility, to name a few?
Middle America is mad as hell at the Left and Right and they just might be willing to roll the dice on someone like Palin, who lacks an Ivy League education, is a working class hockey-mom with a disabled child, and who has blue-collar roots like many of the folks in Middle America. The status quo on the Left and Right have produced nothing material for Middle America, which may toss conventional wisdom into the toilet and throw the lever for Palin, figuring it has nothing to lose, and it may be right.
The Ivy League educated on the Left and Right have delivered little to nothing for Middle America, perhaps precisely because they are out of touch with the issues that someone like Palin understands personally.
However, to say that Palin is a salmon swimming upstream is an understatement. The results of a CBS News survey released Monday indicate that 66 percent of respondents do not want her to run for the White House in 2012. Seventy percent of respondents to a CNN/Opinion Research poll said she is not qualified to be president.
More difficult for Palin is the fact that the trend is not her friend—public opinion is moving in the wrong direction right now.
In the CBS survey, 43 percent of GOP respondents said Palin would have the ability to be an effective president. Only 11 percent of Democrats and 29 percent of independents agreed.
However, there is an opportunity for Palin among independents, where Palin’s rating is 41 percent favorable, and 48 percent unfavorable, according to Gallup.
These numbers are not great, but there is plenty of time if she can move the needle by appealing to Middle America and independents, which is where elections are won or lost.
Clearly, Palin has put the monkey on her back, especially with her resignation from Alaska’s governorship in July, a self-inflicted wound that will be difficult to explain away. However, don’t put it past Palin to put lipstick on this pig and paint herself as a victim of politically motivated and baseless ethics charges that prevented her from successfully serving the people of Alaska, forcing her to do the noble thing and take the bullet by resigning.
We can say what we want about Palin, but no Republican in recent history has created such frenzied excitement across the country as she has. Just take a look at the fervor she stirs as she wheels across Middle America on her book tour.
Perhaps this is a misreading of the tea leaves, but one could argue that she creates a wee bit more excitement than Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee, the two Republican front-runners for president in 2012. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed woman just might be queen.

The best analysis of Palin Derangement Syndrome has it that the left simply hates Palin bc she reflects the common American.
And the left hates America; especially a successful America.
Success will always be hated and resented by the left.
But add to that intrinsic hatred, success in someone "common" becomes even more of a threat; what is essentially a threat to the aggrandizement of a carefully-cultivated ego.
This for a liberal is unforgivable.
Less than perfect, but more than they could be, the left attacks Palin tooth and claw.

Glenn Beck, Leftist Prey
Dave Letterman likes to spread out his venom.
His tiresome, vengeful attacks on Sarah Palin, his defense against her reaction to his calling her and her daughter virtual sluts and a reflection of his cockiness after skating through his own sex scandals, were getting old and his writers were getting stale in their digs.
They were rescued by the publication of her best seller, Going Rogue, which at once became an ancillary target with Letterman’s brief nightly skit, “Things Better than Reading Sarah Palin’s Book.”
Those film attacks show cars crashing into trees, having one’s head explode in a microvave, and other inane, tasteless disasters as preferable to reading Palin’s book.
They’re getting old as well so last night’s “Top 10″ list on Obama’s interview on FNC branched out by attacking another conservative subject: Coming in at Number One was, “Agreeing that Glenn Beck is a dump.”
Not much better can be expected from crass, dirty Dave and his foul abuse of Beck was not unanticipated given the obsession liberals have with destroying him.
Still, it reinforces an interesting phenomenon, namely that when conservatives becomes too threatening, Leftists like Letterman and others go into spasms in their efforts to bring them down into their own muck and mire.
Mrs. Palin, with her incredible popularity and crowd appeal still tops the Leftist Attack Charts. However, Glenn Beck has gotten way up in their craws, too.
Polls showing Beck’s topping Larry King, Anderson Cooper, Keith Olberman, and Chris Matthews’ combined scores just may be playing a factor in the Left’s angst and venom.
Dirty Dave’s lies and insinuations about Palin–he dare not abuse her daughters again– . . .

I'll give you lefties a few ideas of why we like her.
1. More down to Earth than your CinC (Community Organizer in Chief.)
2. Self made and successful woman (not too bad on the eyes to boot!)
3. Speaks true conservative principles.
4. If elected POTUS, would do a good job reforming the ethical dilemma with Congress (like she did in Alaska)
5. Drives liberals nuckin' futs.
I'm sure there's a lot more to add, but if anybody wants to jump in, have at it.

Second, she's pissing off Rachel Mancow and Keith Uberscum more than I am able to. Third, she has a best seller and I can't get past this damn blog and a couple of articles at American Thinker. Last, there's a possibility she could become president and no one....no one....not even my own daughter, has considered me as a candidate. What do you want from me...am I supposed to like her?

Oiao...
Yup, she's gettin' my cash for a book. I probably won't even read it--don't need to--I'm from out West...this is normal. I'll probably give it to a liberal friend..I've always wanted to see a hernia in progress!
I re-read my post and I have to apologize for saying I would worship K-boy and the Mancow...it was so tongue in cheek my tongue is sticking out the back of my head...very painful to say anything like that, even in jest.
By the way, I'm not an English whiz but isn't 'Fanatical Progressives' a double-entendre?

SK...
Are you saying several loosely-aligned neighborhood associates wearing similarly fashioned designer butt-exposing trousers, bedecked with Mohigan coifs and bejeweled lips and sporting artistic arm paintings, coincidentally and simultaneously copulated with an argumentative and defiant sexiphobe dressed in enticing clothing who cried bigoted screams of "GANG.....r...a..p.e..." The woman should be ashamed..where's Scotland Yard when ya need um?

Oiao..
One last parting note...
Sorry I never learnt (or can't remember) all the terms. When my English teacher tried to explain what a dangling participle was, I always thought (hoped) she was being provocative.
Woe it was, unto me...but I still got an A.

Anyone have anything to add to THIS list? I wrote it myself, but feel free to add.
THINGS I'M TIRED OF HEARING FROM OBAMA SUPPORTERS:
- that criticizing Dear Leader is "racist"
- that being opposed to a government takeover of the health insurance system must mean you don't care about the plight of the uninsured
- that no matter how bad Obama screws up, that it is still "a much needed improvement over the previous eight-year regime."
- that Obama hasn't yet had enough time to "do anything"
- that it's OK for Chairman Zero to excuse this by blaming "the mess he inherited"
- that it's OK for Obama to say "I don't want the people who caused this mess to do a lot of talking."
- that Obama's prior (in)experience at executive leadership isn't relevant, but Palin's supposed lack of same is relevant (when she has more of it than he does)
- that Obama is "smart and sophisticated" while Palin is "a dimbulb" and "not intellectually curious"
- that talk, rather than a credible threat of war, is the way to get Iran to stop uranium enrichment
- that Obama needs to pull our men out of Iraq
- that all this deficit spending will ultimately end or soften the recession
- that spendulus packages are fine now, but horrible when Bush did them...when they're actually bad no matter who implements them.
- that Obama isn't a socialist
- that the media isn't biased
- that "the world" supposedly loves us again, when it actually doesn't care one way or the other, then or now
- that the relationship with Poland and the Czech Republic isn't important, but the relationship with Cuba and Venezeula is
- that throwing our allies to the Russian bear is OK if it's done in the name of getting Putin to like us
- that missile defense does not and can not work
- the phrase "thrown under the bus"
- that intellect apparently is determined by how closely some politician agrees with them
Have I forgotten any?

"Brs, quit repeating debunked garbage about Palin. It just makes leftists look bad."
COURIC: What other Supreme Court decisions do you disagree with?
PALIN: Well, let's see. There's -- of course -- in the great history of America rulings there have been rulings, that's never going to be absolute consensus by every American. And there are -- those issues, again, like Roe v. Wade where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So you know -- going through the history of America, there would be others but --
COURIC: Can you think of any?
PALIN: Well, I could think of -- of any again, that could be best dealt with on a more local level. Maybe I would take issue with. But you know, as mayor, and then as governor and even as a vice president, if I'm so privileged to serve, wouldn't be in a position of changing those things but in supporting the law of the land as it reads today.
It's not that I hate her, it's that I think she doesn't know much of anything that has to do with anything, but was running for VPOTUS behind an older man.
YOu guys have plenty of women in your party who are well qualified - that you've chosen someone as your standard bearer who seems to have no policy knowledge about anything reveals something about the nonsense your movement's evolved into.
We need a real opposition party right now, but instead we have a party where being stupid and ignorant has been revered and confused with folksy and "down to Earth". Conservatism doesn't need to be this way.

Frankly, I think exactly the same thing about the Democrats and Obama. The funny part is that you'll think the same thing by 2012.
