I picked up one of my favorite books over the weekend, "Parliament of Whores" by PJ O'Rourke. If you have it, you should re-read two chapters: "Funding Privation: In with the Compassion Fascists," and "The Dirt of the Earth: Ecologists." This book was written about 20 years ago, and you will see that moonbattery has not changed a bit. Reading it was funny and depressing at the same time.

This sentence leaped out at me and made me think of HCR: "Government beaurocrats control every aspect of the lives of poor people, yet they pay absolutely no attention to poor people."

Black Liberation Theology in Action?

“Black Liberation Theology,” is a term supposedly coined by James H. Cone who actually glommed it from the South American Marxist “Liberation Theology” movement of the fifties.

Cone synthesized his American meaning when he said, “The Christian faith has been interpreted largely by those who enslaved black people, and by the people who segregated them.” It goes far beyond a disaffection with Christianity.

As one observer wrote, it is “a product of the dreary, leftist politics of the twentieth century” to which “Militancy is important. It’s the sword dangled over the head of society. Either fork over more tax dollars, government services and patronage or else. . . [under threat of} Civil unrest. Disruptions in cities. Riot in the streets:” http://bit.ly/4EYouE.

Sound familiar? It should. We have witnessed that civil unrest, that militancy, those disruptions, those riots for decades. They are intrinsic to black liberation and civil rights movements. Ironically, they are often promulgated from the pulpits of supposedly Christian churches.

Two recent race-tinged stories may reflect a very feasible relationship to Black Liberation Theology follow:

ONE: The following dialogue is fabricated. The facts of the incident–involving 3 people in a Harlem bar, a black man, a white woman, and a white man–are not.

Black Man: “Don’t you think that white privilege has gone on long enough in this country?”

White woman: “What exactly do you mean by ‘white privilege?’ “

“You know goddamned well what I mean! Now I’ll show you some black privilege!”

With that, a 59 year old Columbia University prof hauled off and sucker-punched the white woman in the face and then for good measure took a swing at the white man who intervened.

As reported by the New York Post, the black man, Professor Lionel MacIntyre, and the white woman, Ms. Camille Davis, had been involved a racial disagreement a few weeks earlier. Last Friday, it ignited into a “fiery discussion” at the bar, Toast.

MacIntyre concluded that chat by shoving and punching Davis . . .

Oh Berlet98, diversity is our strength, we all bleed red, and there's only one race: the human race. At least, that's what the leftists AND CONSERVATIVES told me to believe.

Let me educate you about white privilege ...

Shhh ... between me and you, don't tell anybody how many white women are raped by blacks every year, okay? Or the increasing number of white women who are getting acid thrown in their faces when they terminate their mixed race relationships. Or, the rape epidemic afflicting our Scandinavian sisters by Muslims. I could go on but I need to get back to enjoying my multicultural Utopia that liberal and conservative white women love!

Oh, and I like how the white men in the picture are portrayed as submissive. It reminds me of my days in the cuckold scene.

If you need me, I'll be here typing on my computer in my comfy crocs! I like to talk about problems but never do anything about them.

If anybody cares, Mee-shell Obama is in Denver today. She will drop in at Denver South High school where students are twitterpated. "We were told we get to meet her. So it's going to be very spectacular," gushed one student.

Mrs. Teleprompter will strap on the ol' feedbag with 80 girls at the guv'nuhs mansion to chow down with Colora-duh's first lady Mrs. Ritter, the tax payer bleeding guv'nuhs wife.

The purpose of the tax-payer funded junket is this: The first lady is visiting Denver to promote the White House leadership and mentoring initiative. She couldn't do that in the White House with squirt cheese and crackers and Country Time lemonade?

Imagine if Laura Bush would have jetted to Denver(or any city) to promote the importance of public and college libraries, Tingles and Odorman would be having a hissyfit.

Anyone notice the president who won't talk to FoxNews is in China yapping about how "the more freely information flows, the stronger the society becomes..."

What a hypocritical douchebag.

VtK -

"Information flowing freely" in no way describes FauxNews, and that is why the White House called them to the carpet about it. Hypocrisy, in this case, would be something like Fox telling only 1 side of any and all stories, then calling out the leader of the free world for his supposed lack of information. See how admitting what Fox is out loud completely invalidates your (unabashedly retarded) point?

Seriously. All rational people know that Fox is just the propaganda arm of the GOP (not that MSNBC isnt the same for the Dems, but at least they admit it, instead of pretending that they are something that they are clearly not...)

Is there honestly anyone on Earth that does not know which of the networks play for which team? FixedNoise is to news what Vegemite is to food; if you don't know any better it'll pass, but all reasonable people would rather have anything else.

Wow, you couldn't have said that any better than if Obama, Gibbs, or Anita Dunn had said it themselves.

Rational people, lol. That's a good one.

Obama green-lights Arab land grab
But Israel threatens retaliation if U.N. approves Palestinian state

TEL AVIV – A top Palestinian Authority official told WND that the PA reached an understanding with the Obama administration regarding a Palestinian threat to unilaterally ask the United Nations to recognize a Palestinian state outside of negotiations with Israel.

Ahmed Qurei, former PA prime minister and member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization executive committee, said in an interview that the PA "reached an understanding with important elements within the administration" to possibly bring to the U.N. Security Council a resolution to unilaterally create a Palestinian state.

Asked to which "elements" he was referring, Qurei would only say they were from the Obama administration.

Ah So, you have no problem with the WH calling a news organization on the carpet for reporting the WH doesn't like? Figures... The "Ah So" was in honor of the Bower in Chief. And yes, the hypocrisy of someone who will talk to Kim Jong Il, or Achmadinnerjacket or Chavez "without preconditions", but won't descend from his throne to talk to a credited new organization is just, well, hypocritical.
Rational People=liberal democrat.

All rational people know that Fox is just the propaganda arm of the GOP

This is absolutely true. Similarly, all rational people know that Democrats are drug-addled perverts committed to communism and/or satanic worship. The matter is settled.

I'm confused. The hopey-changey feel-good left has always told us that everybody is individual, unique, and special. How can all of them be Bill Clinton?

Got some news on the Eco Sanity Front:

http://www.cleveland.com/obrien/index.ssf/2009/10/upset_about_firstenergys_price.html

These whiz-bang new light bulbs -- which cost FirstEnergy $3.50 each, and which you could buy all by yourself at any number of stores for even less if you were still trusted to do that sort of thing -- will cost you $21.60 for the pair. You'll pay it off over the next three years, at 60 cents a month added to your electric bill.
And, by the way, the $21.60 you'll pay for those bulbs also includes a little assessment to cover the cost of the electricity that FirstEnergy won't be selling you because you use those bulbs. Think of it as paying money to save money so FirstEnergy won't lose money.

It's time to coin a new term for things like this. Let's call it ecosanity.

The hopey-changey feel-good left has always told us that everybody is individual, unique, and special.

Easy, AC. They're all individual, unique, and special in the same way. They're also all non-conformists who adopt the same styles of clothing, transportation, and values to express their non-conformity. They also question authority, unless the authority is the Party, in which case the other individual, unique, special non-conformists immediately correct them, or if necessary ostracize them for failing to non-conform.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at November 16, 2009 6:35 PM

Here's a case in point, AC. No grownups actually care what Sarah Palin is doing now. But the Party has decreed that she is a counter-revolutionary Bukharinite, and so all non-conformist Party loyalists line up in perfect rows to denounce her in unison. All non-conformist Party loyalists will continue to do so until the Party directs them to denounce some other deviationist, when they will turn as one and heap non-conformist vitriol on that counter-revolutionary. Party loyalists focus their greatest spleen at those conformist freedom-lovers who are told what to think by Fox News. Why Fox News doesn't even try to toe the Party line!
