Obamunist Congresscritter Finally Sees Government Spending He Opposes

Posted by Gregory of Yardale at November 24, 2009 8:36 AM

Congressman David Obey (Demonrat-WI) voted "Yes" on the $750 Billion Wall Street Bailout. He voted "Yes" on the $787 Billion Spendulus. He voted "Yes" on the $2.5 Trillion PelosiCare bill. He has also blocked attempts at earmark reform.

But when it comes to spending $40 Billion to win the war against Islamists in Afghanistan, all of the sudden, he thinks the Government is spending too much. And he wants to place another tax increase on the most productive people in society (on top of the scheduled 2011 tax increase when the Bush tax cuts expire, and on top of the tax increase that won't come close to paying for PelosiCare.)

We are not undertaxed in the United States, we are overspent. I can think of a lot of government programs that could be axed to pay to defeat the Taliban, keep Afghanistan from becoming once again a terrorist petri dish, and keep Al Qaeda from gaining access to nuclear weapons through Pakistan or Iran.

The three programs at the top of this post would be a great start.

It's just Obey showing his true colors. He's never been one to back the US military, now he wants to dismantle it via the budget. Along with his rat-pack buddy in the senate, Pink Karl Levin.

You mean Karl Lenin.

I seem to recall Obey is up for de-election.

Guys, as a conservative Wisconsinite, I want to apologize for Obey, Kohl and Feingold. I didn't vote for any of them, but too many of us did.

The far left has raised the ire of the American people. Thus, the far left cannot count of the American people to re-elect them in 2010. The far left will have to count on the support of special interests and political racketeers, and to make that possible, the price of their support is taxpayer funding.

$40 billion for selling out the troops and the people of Afghanistan will make for a solid downpayment on Democrat pet projects as part of the 2010 re-election fund.

Obey is a first-rate weasel when it comes to doling out taxpayer funds to rally his voting base. Is it any wonder that the military should find itself on the chopping block in the name of re-election and partisan pork projects?

2010 is going to be a watershed year...and I sure wouldn't want to be a "progressive" through that period.

They have overstepped so badly, shown what they're world would look like so vividly, gone after those that produce and perform in SUCH a vicious manner that everyone now sees what "compassion" and "tolerance" and "social justice" really means.

They've "outed" themselves. Yes...they ARE Marxist, Communist, radical revolutionaries.

I plan on being in Washington for Glenn Beck's August rally at the Lincoln Memorial (yeah, the one that Washington now says won't be available for people to demonstrate at any longer. Guess that "under-attended" Tea Party shook them up a little). I hope it's a crowd of five million and we just stand there...not a word, not a sound...just stand there with signs that say "No More".

2010, baby.

When will enough be really enough?

Personally I am amazed the AMERICAN people haven't dragged this clown out onto the front lawn of the WH and strung him up.

Heres hoping next year this scumball demacreep ends up with a big shoe mark in his backside as voters turn him out of office the rotten sidewinder

Free, good point. I'm amazed that many of them are not dangling from lampposts inside the Beltway already. They should be.

Yes he is. I'm from Wisconsin and I hope those of you who really want to put the last nail in the coffin of one of the planners of the present travesty would check on who's running and put your financial support behind him. PLEASE don't let ACORN put this clown back in office. Any Republican who runs with any support at all will send this lib into retirement.
