Obamao Follows Up Nobel Prize With Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do

Wouldn't it be nice to be awarded all sorts of honors — Editor of the Harvard Law Review, President of the United States, Nobel Peace Prize laureate — without ever accomplishing anything other than managing to personify Affirmative Action? Actually no, when you think about what the honors would actually be worth. The latest for the "No, I'm Not Kidding" department: Chairman Zero was awarded a black belt in tae kwon do by the President of South Korea during his Asia junket.
There is no more evidence that Comrade Obama has studied tae kwon do than there is that he's qualified to serve as President, although no one can be sure, with his college years kept so tightly under wraps. Whether the black belt would do him any good in a fight is doubtful.

BTW... he's never studied martail arts or boxing. If you look at the hand position you'll see he's about to strike with the little finger and ring finger leading... a typical amateur mistake. Ask any doctor. He'll be down at X-ray confirming the broken little finger if he actually hit anthing.
Like someone said on another thread - we can no longer laugh at France.

Oh yeah... one more point - Tae Kwon Do is a kicking style more than a boxing style. So where's butt monkey's head-high round house kick? Yeah. Sure. I'd REALLY love to see him try that on camera. It would make my whole week.

The Korean isnt easily amused as some would believe. He's dyin inside and cant wait for the poseur in chief to leave so he can explode with laughter. Black belts are disgusted around the world now as their achievement has been degraded.

**Unfortunately on this point I can tell you with some authority that "honorary" black belts in the martial arts are often handed out to dignataries in Asia. Honorary degrees, if you will. This applies to karate as well, for example, in Japan (where I have lived for many years). Of course, "honorary" is the key word here. A mere polite gesture, if you will.
**Unfortunate because I oppose Obama on every general and specific issue. He has done nOthing right and will cOntinue to do nOthing right for the remainder of his pitiful presidency. And yeah, I was here in Tokyo where Obama did his bowing routine once again. The controversial nature of yet another Obamabow as reflected in the US media is big topic here in Jaypan. I just tell folks that the President of the United States is not supposed to bow. Period. . . . And that he has bowed to everyone he can including Saudi terrorist kings.

Getting an "honorary" black belt (never heard of such a thing!) sickens me, absolutely cheapens the whole concept of martial arts. I'm shocked, shocked that these are handed out to dignitaries in Asian countries. >:-P
It's even worse than obtaining an honorary degree from a university, since, c'mon now, basically anyone can go through 4 (or 5 ior 12) years at a college and eventually get a degree. The black belt is such a profound symbol of respect and honor, and there's so much work that goes into it. Many folks start that road and just give up. Some may be physically unable to continue (especially us old folks).
Take it from a Taekwondo student, about to test for his blue belt -- it's a damn hard test and I'm barely half way to testing for a black! To just give one away goes against everything for which martial arts stands.
I'm surprised, after everything else, that I could be any more disgusted with The One and his enablers (both foreign and domestic).

Now that Obamasan is a martial artist, can we get Chuck Norris to beat him up? We can call it sparring. ObammyWhammy should be on the next "Ultimate Fighter". We could stick him, Limbaugh, Pelousy, Reid, Hannity, Beck, Maddow, Coulter and the entire cast of MSNBC in the house for a month and see who survives.

You might expect some outrage from the Tae Kwon Do organizations over just handing over a black belt. However, this is consistent with many Tae Kwon Do schools - as long as you keep writing checks, they'll keep moving your kid through the colored belts until you get the black one.

No, the idea of an honorary black belt is just wrong. I agree.
Then again, EVERYONE knows Obama has no REAL black belt in Taekwondo, although his usual belt may happen to be black or brown or whatnot.
Therefore Obama`s belt is an empty=KARAbelt.

I took Tae Kwon Do for about two months and made yellow belt(Which I had to pay $50 for the test), before I dropped out due to money and time restraints. Somehow I have the feeling I know more Tae Kwon Do then he does. I would love to see BHO fight an actual black belt. My former teacher comes to mind. The guy's 60 and he can still kick your ass.

Meh, I took Tae for a few months, made it to green belt. I didn't think it was as challenging as the Shotokan Karate I took years ago. Besides, I thought they focused more on kicking in TKD?
