Obama Imitates Team America: World Police

Posted by Gregory of Yardale at November 19, 2009 8:35 AM

Chairman Zero in South Korea yesterday:

"Iran has taken weeks now and has not shown its willingness to say yes to this proposal . . . and so as a consequence we have begun discussions with our international partners about the importance of having consequences."

Hans Brix in Team America: World Police:

Hans Blix: I'm sorry, but the UN must be firm with you. Let me in, or else.
Kim Jong Il: Or else what?
Hans Blix: Or else we will be very angry with you... and we will write you a letter, telling you how angry we are.

"Smart" diplomacy.

Zero has no credibility left to look tough. Not after a full apology tour, bowing to foreign leaders. He seriously expect anyone to feel threatened by his "consequences"?

I thought he said no one country can tell another what to do.

Yeah, if Iran doesnt play ball, the international community will get really really annoyed until they do a "North Korea". At which point they will be indignant and pretty much do nothing except call for more "talks".

The Euroweenies have exactly what they asked for - a "European" President of the US.

So... now we'll do the European thing - talk it to death in hopes it'll go away.

In a way I'd love to see a mushroom cloud over a US or European city. It would be final vindication for old school Americanism - be nice to those being friendly, kill anything else.

the importance of having consequences."
is it just me or does this sound like something you would say about disciplining a 5 yr old?

"as a consequence we have begun discussions with our international partners about the importance of having consequences."
As a consequence, they'll talk about the importance of having consequences?
That sounds like something the left would have made fun of George W. Bush for, had he been the one who said it.
Was the teleprompter writer for O on crack when he wrote that?
btw, great analogy, that movie is required viewing for every adult conservative with a strong stomach!

We can't make fun of France any more.

Or South Park's April Fools Terrence & Phillip episode...

"Mr. Saddam, we're giving you just three YEARS to clear your forces out of Canada."

KHarn, LMAO.

I want to borrow that line for blog posts. Too funny. [Unfortunately, too true]
