Morning Briefs: Stuff You've Probably Already Read Somewhere Else

Posted by Gregory of Yardale at November 18, 2009 5:44 AM

Good Morning Campers, Good Morning Lefty Trolls Who've Tasted Everything Under the Kitchen Sink,

Item Number One:
The Obamas aren't going to let a little thing like a trillion dollar deficit or massive recession stop them from enjoying bloated, wretched excess. Dragonwatch has found a rather interesting statistic on the amount of personal staff enjoyed by previous First Ladies:

Total Personal Staff members for other first ladies paid by taxpayers: Mamie Eisenhower : 1, Jackie Kennedy: 1, Roseline Carter: 1, Barbara Bush: 1, Hilary Clinton: 3, Laura Bush: 1, Michele Obama: 22.

A commenter notes that the veracity of this assertion is disputed. But using Obamamath, we can say that those 22 personal staff assistants for M'Chel represent 6,913 jobs created or saved under this administration.

Item Number Two
: Once Chairman Zero gets done with his ass-kissing tour of Asia, he plans to spend some time among his adoring subjects. Chairman Zero is planning a tour of the United States to check into this recession thingy he's heard some of the proletariat are displeased about. Whether this tour will include all 57 states and 700 Imaginary Congressional Districts where Stimulus Dollars have been wasted remains to be seen. I also wonder if he will be using the full 71-car motorcade he brought to China with him.

Item Number Three
: And since the Obamas are living large off the taxpayers whose values they absolutely despise, it should be noted, first of all, that millions of Americans are now going to have to pay back the "tax cut" that was part of the Stimulus; so it was actually more of a "tax loan." Also, Obama's economic advisors are raising the possibility of revoking all of the Bush tax cuts, not just those on the prosperous. Marriage penalty - back. Child tax credit - cut 60%. Death tax - back. They think it will raise $2.5 trillion, but that won't close the projected $9 trillion in deficits they expect to run up. So, where do you think that other six or seven trillion is going to come from?

Since I mentioned The Office...

Could we possibly add a mortician to Worf's personal staff?

Obviously none of them advise her on how to dress.

Of course M'chel uses ten times more assistants than any other first ladies, that animal thinks she's above royalty (patting the Queen's back, anyone?) Only Barry considers himself lower than any other foreign leader but strictly above anything breathing in the US.

Claire McCaskill (Dingbat-MO) on the Senate Climate Change Bill:

"It's really big, really, really hard, and is going to make a lot of people mad,"

That's what she said!

Snopes pretty much roundly refutes number one:

We can beat the left with facts, we can't resort to internet rumor-mongering.

Holy crap Joe, one would think that an idiot like M'chel would have at least someone in that ridiculous payroll to remind her not to dress in shower curtains when meeting foreign dignitaries...

In related news, the Florida government announced today that they are all out of unemployment money, even what they got from the feds. So now, the unemployment tax paid by businesses will go up from $8.40 per employee to $120.00 per employee!

I blame the Liberals and their "entitlement mentality".
