Morning Briefs: Stuff You May Have Already Read Somewhere Else
Posted by Gregory of Yardale at November 12, 2009 5:46 AM
Good Morning Campers and Lefty Trolls Who Have Never Stood in the "12 Medications or Less" Line at CVS,
Item Number One:On 29 OCT, the US Naval Academy Color Guard made an appearance at the World Series. The day before their appearance, two Midshipmen were removed from the Color Guard by senior NA commanders. The reason? They were white males. No one is even denying that's the reason they were pulled off the guard; the NA just wanted to project more "diversity." Our military is more obsessed with "diversity" than it is with winning wars, honoring and rewarding excellence ... or even with protecting our soldiers from crazed Islamist radicals.
In related news, CinC PBO has reportedly rejected all recommendations to win the war in Afghanistan. He's still waiting for that, "Lose The War But Make Me Look Good" strategy. Or maybe he's thinking war is just a kind of college term paper, and it's okay for him to turn in it as late as he wants.
Item Number Two: Two Three depressing stories about the economy, and the Neo-Marxist mismanagement thereof. An AP poll has found that Americans have never been more pessimistic about the economy, despite the happy talk from PBO's fluffers in the MSM. And an economic analyst says 10.2% unemployment isn't the peak, and we'll see 12% unemployment, maybe more, and for longer, primarily because... well, short answer, the Government is being run by Big Government Neo-Marxists. The deficit spending is sucking so much capital out of the economy there's simply no money available for business to expand. It is difficult to see how trillions more in PelosiCare spending will make the situation any better.
Also, PBO is depending on China's economy to pull the USA out of recession (and supplant the USA as the globe's dominant power). But at least one analyst thinks China may be heading for a fall as well.
Depressed yet? Well, there is a stinger at the end of this, at least.
Item Number Three: A fringe political movement that demands absolute ideological purity from its membership has purged another member for failing its litmus tests. I refer, of course, to Lou Dobbs leaving CNN. A gleeful (but still deranged) Keith Olberman dislocated his shoulder while high-fiving himself that someone who was not 100% compliant with the views of the media left had been driven from its ranks.
What else do I got? Oh, yeah, a Stinger...

Diversity and multi-culturalism if not damned will kill this country. It started with Bush and surely wont end with Obama.

Fort Hood jihadist: "I'm Muslim First, American Second"
Apparently Hasan turned more than one medical lecture into a Koran presentation. "'I'm Muslim First, American Second' - Former Classmate of Suspected Ft. Hood Shooter Recalls Red Flags," from FoxNews, November 10 (thanks to Maxwell):
SNIP
He would make frequent comments that he was a Muslim first and an American or an officer second, and also that, you know, Islamic law, Sharia law took precedence over the Constitution. And we all became concerned because he's a sworn officer of the United States and he's supposed to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic.
===
Yet his loyalties lied elsewhere.
Sounds a whole lot like the liberal trolls who post here.

Why would BHO think that the Chinese economy would buoy the U.S. economy, when China is utterly dependent economically on exports to U.S. consumers?
Is he REALLY that stupid?

Teaboy-in-Chief is not ready to offend his America-hating leftist loon allies by projecting some sort of national policy in Afghanistan. That would make this clown seem like a grown-up, who could come to a decision after two months of dithering.....
This lil waste of a human being makes Jimmy Carter look like a strong POTUS.

You crack me up! You MUST be a MST3K fan. I might be one of the few people that recognize all of your MSTis clips. Well Done....

I think Keith Olberboy stopped maturing at age 10. In fact, my ten-year old is more mature than he is. What a goober.
Dobbs' announcement surprised me, but it sounded like he wants to make a run for office. He was the only reason I ever tuned into CNN.

Which episode was it?
I heard a blub on the radio this morning that Peebo is forming some kind of jobs thingy, to really sit down around a big table and come up with some jobs. Union Labor is invited. Lame. Epic Fail.

#1 Diversity was deeply entrenched in the military when I was a member (1983-1988), it is nothing new.
#2 TRUE.
#3 During commercials I commonly switch the tv from Fox news to the 'others' (how many times do I need to be told to ask my doctor about some drug?) Lou Dobbs never stood out long enough for me to recognize him, Olberman on the other hand is a raving lunatic on a scale of 10-12x Maddow, I never watch more than 30 seconds.
