Moonbat Tech: Electric Police Cars

Posted by Van Helsing at November 5, 2009 7:50 AM

Stressing official preference for pandering to political correctness rather than controlling crime, police in Oxford, England are puttering around in electric ecojokes.

The $33,000 Mitsubishi iMievs are guaranteed unhurtful to polar bears (since electricity is generated from pixie dust) and can go 100 miles on a charge — but only with the lights off. Consequently, cops are not able to use flashing blue lights to get people's attention.

Not to worry though, ecoscientists are working toward a solution:

Some manufacturer's have opted for an integrated solar roof to power such systems, like this quirky Trabant. One obvious drawback of this approach is that extended cloudy or dark periods will render it useless.

Here's an idea: why not let the police drive real cars, and give the electric go-carts to criminals? That way, the cops will be able to catch them.

They've got to be kidding.

On a tip from Scaramouche.

These carts will work fine for what the British police need. Real criminals be damned, these carts can still catch up to any errant Christians who dare criticize Islam.

Oh Van, there you go making sense again. ;) Clearly the flaw in your plan is that it violates the right of criminals to make a speedy getaway with Other People's Stuff. /sarc

I wonder if they have thought of using the rotation of each individual tire to generate the power for the lights. You know, like those things we used to put on bicycles when we were kids.

How can they make the police more useless? Take away their guns? OH right, forget it. At least they have their cameras on the street corners.

They have, but then they learned about things called "friction" and "drag". At least with the solar panels they are STARTING to think about the cars' problems.

In England, we hamstring the police and make it easier for the bad guys. Because saving the polar bears is more important than jailing criminals.

You know, sort of like in America.

Liberalism is all about disarming, weakening and undermining the good guys who are supposed to protect us.
