Lawrence O'Donnell: Reagan Too Liberal for GOP

Posted by Van Helsing at November 3, 2009 8:12 PM

It's no use wishing Ronaldus Maximus were around today, because if he were, the Republican Party would have no use for him — because he's too liberal. At least, that's the analysis moonbat drones are being fed by MSNBC. Take it away, Lawrence O'Donnell:

The GOP is so fanatical in its devotion to liberty that it "can't support a liberal like Ronald Reagan now." Since I wouldn't want O'Donnell to feel like a fool, I'm hoping the Republicans who kicked Democrat tail in Virginia and apparently even New Jersey today are so conservative, they really do make Reagan look like a liberal.

On a tip from Wiggins.

Fanatical in the support of liberty? Damn I hope so.

And the Liberal Mind (oxymoron there) eats up that crap. Good. The dumber Liberals get, the easier it is to hammer them.

Thanks for pointing out that liberals got their butt's kicked in Virginia and New Jersey.

The avalanche has begun. Wait until this time one year from tonight. I'd love to see people like Hairy Reed and Nanny Pelousy in a breadline - unfortunately they will earn their congressional pay (which they never earned to begin with) the rest of their wicked lives, and also get the best free medical care in the world for the rest of their miserable lives. May all the sand-fleas of the African Deserts infest their beds. Worthless damned thieves. Of course Nanny may keep her job because folks in the Bay Area LOVE having it shoved up their asses. But Hairy Reed is a goner - along with dozens and dozens of others.

One year from tonight I'll be doing a happy-dance. Mark your calendars, dipshit trolls.

And God Bless Ronald Reagan. February 6th should be a National Holiday. He may very well have been our last great president.

And Northern New York how did that go? No
contest surely, they've been Republican for a century. With the Palin endorsement how could anything go wrong...

Well he brought about amnesty for illegal aliens so he wasn't exactly a far right conservative...moderate maybe. Real liberals would really be frightened if a real conservative had ever taken office in their lifetimes of course the rest of us could take a short break from wondering which political macquivering was threatening to destroy our liberty for once.

Here's one article about the GOP victories in NJ and VA:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/11/03/gop-gains-hurt-obama-capital-agenda/

I love this quote from the article:

As if hoping to avoid the outcome, the White House issued a statement after the GOP win in Virginia saying the president was not watching election returns and would not be making any remarks on the results.

Yeah. Sure he isn't. I believe you, Rahm. Obama must be kicking back with an old copy of "The Wizard of OZ", right?

Hell, I don't even believe the part about Obama not making any remarks. You can bet your bottom dollar that the president is making PLENTY of remarks this evening. They just aren't printable in a family newspaper.

This one's cute too:

"They're in a civil war over the definition of their party," said Paul Blank, a Democratic consultant. "And the extremists have won."

Uh huh. Extremists, my ass. Actually, the closeness of the NY congressional race demonstrates exactly that - that the GOP voters are not interested in backing a bunch of linguini-spined, Democrat-lite RINO pretenders. I noticed with great interest that most of the RINO candidate's supporters went over to Hoffman after she dropped out and endorsed the Democrat(!) Owens.

These guys just got their asses handed to them in two states that Obama swept in 2008, and yet OUR party is the one which is lacking unity. Sure.

We lost the 23rd NY congressional district race, but only by a four-point margin and with a third-party candidate in the mix at that. It's hardly the sweep that the Left was hoping for.

The article darkly intones against reading too much into this with regard to '10 and '12, but it's progress and I'll take it. This could yet be the beginning of authentic conservatives kicking this rotten bunch out of power and taking our country back.

Delicious, and a harbinger of things to come. It's all I can say. So much for the Obama juggernaut rolling over us, eh moonbats?

Given how badly the Republican leadership screwed its base on that race I'm surprised Hoffman did as well as he did. If he had had the full backing of the party for the duration of the race he almost certainly would have won. Time for a leadership purge in NY!

The cow got 6%, and her name was still printed on the ballot. I wonder how many of the 6% were people too stupid and uninformed to vote? Otherwise, what was their intent? God, I'm exhausted and grief-stricken today. Wish I could go back to bed.

Oh I don't know, maybe that they were moderate republicans who didn't want to vote Democrat and don't like the idea of supporting an outsider with the enthusiasm of an aardvark. Did you see him on Beck?

Yeah, someone needs to tell me what's wrong with that. If one has to be a fanatic about something, liberty is top choice. Everything else springs from that.

Stupid moonbats.
