Is It Too Early to Stick a Fork in Dodd?

Posted by The MaryHunter at November 12, 2009 12:45 PM

Possibly not, but Quinnipiac has some new numbers. RedState discusses the latest Connecticut poll results:

The poll shows Dodd with a favorable/unfavorable rating of -15 (38-53) among men and -25 (34-59) among Independents, and a re-elect number of -24 (34-58) among men and -32 (30-62) among Independents, the latter mirroring the showing of Jon Corzine and Creigh Deeds among Independents.

Yes, the wait for 2010 seems like an eternity, so let's not be hasty:

It’s still somewhat early to judge whether any of the other Republicans in the race would be electable against Dodd; clearly, Simmons, as a moderate former Congressman, has a very real shot of winning this race, as he’s polling basically where Chris Christie was polling at this stage against Corzine. And bear in mind, this was a poll of registered, not likely voters; the likely-voter screens almost always help the GOP candidate, especially since 2010 will be an off-year election in which polls are consistently showing that voters on the Right are far more motivated and energized.

For anyone who is not a dingbat lock-step Democrap Obot and is still considering an actual vote for this beyond-corrupt politician (who, with Ted Kennedy, invented the "Waitress Sandwich"), here's a Chris Dodd primer. The video is several months old but still summarizes relevant information.

Is Dodd going down? Dunno, but it sure doesn't look good for him - which means, all the better for us.

Fondle memories of the good old days may be all Dodd has to bank on next November.

You can stick a fork in him pretty easily if you are dining at the same restaurant. Just sneak up him and plunge the fork in. Of course you will probably end up in jail, but it would be funny for everyone else - except Senator Dudd.

Personally, I have something I would like to stick in Dodd and it isn't a fork.

Hubba hubba!

Is that a waitress sandwich he's holding? Ooops, I guess not, he's got his clothes on.

Dodd is a dick.
I am a conservative and I think there are lots of Congress Critters in both parties that deserve the axe.
If you had to look at one Senator to go after, I think Dodd is probably the most deserving character.
He's in trouble in the polls now, I how the feelings of his electorate remains the same for the next year.
We really need to start ridding Congress of many, if not all of these professional politicians.

This goofball is lost without Teddy. It's way past time the voters took the CON out of Connecticut.
