Gray Dawn: Old Hippies Trespass at Nuclear Base

In Washington state, a bunch of super-old hippies crashed a nuclear weapons base.
Bill “Bix” Bischel, S.J., 81, of Tacoma, Washington; Susan Crane, 65, of Baltimore MD; Lynne Greenwald, 60, of Bremerton Washington; Steve Kelly, S.J., 60, of Oakland, CA.; Anne Montgomery RSCJ, 83, of New York, New York, were arrested on Naval Base Kitsap- Bangor. They entered the Base in the early morning hours of November 2, 2009, All Souls Day, with the intention calling attention to the illegality and immorality of the existence of the Trident weapons system.
As they walked onto the grounds, they held a banner saying…… “Disarm Now Plowshares : Trident: Illegal + Immoral”, left a trail of blood and hammered on the roadway, hammered on the fences around SWFPAC and scattered sunflower seeds throughout the base.
Then comes the cool part:
They were then thrown to the ground face down, handcuffed and hooded and held there for 4 hours on the wet cold ground. They were taken, hooded and carried out thru the very holes in the fence that they had made, for questioning by Base security, FBI and NCIS.
I guess these guys can't afford to wait around until Chairman Zero succeeds in disarming the United States... they may well be dead in two years.

Can you imagine these old idiots thinking they would be immune from prosecution because of their age? Imagine them whining about peace and how much the FBI are fascists as they are handcuffed and led elsewhere! I hope they made them eat their retarded banner!

The scariest part of this whole story is how far into the baase they managed to get. Someone wasn't doing their job. There should have been shots first. questions asked later before these aging hippies managed to get through the FIRST fence!
This is a nuclear weapons facility! What if this WASN'T a bunch of old eco-protesters?

The US is at WAR. These radicals had penetrated a NAVAL NUCLEAR base, under cover of DARKNESS, with malevolent intent?
They should have been shot on sight. No warning, no questions asked. Keep up this sort of limp-wrist approach in dealing with enemy incursion (and they the enemy) and watch the inevitable result.

I agree with Ted, they should have been shot on site; I say that not out of want to see old hippies bleeding on the floor (giggle) but simply from the scale of their intrusion. had their intent been different, things might have gone much worse.
