Google Magically Reduces Saracuda's Fan Base

Posted by Van Helsing at November 19, 2009 7:12 AM

Apparently the lefties at Google don't much like all the excitement over Sarah Palin's book. They may have used their virtual powers to reduce her legions of fans with a little creative editing.

The more powerful people get, the less they can be trusted. This goes double for the "don't be evil" folks at Google.

They must have had a type-o because them, ABC and all the rest changed it to "hundreds" instead of "thousands"

That and the article only says more than a thousand wrist bands were handed out. So "Over a Thousand" or "Hundreds" would be accurate and not a case of moonbattery.

"Google Magically Reduces Saracuda's Fan Base"

Kind of like what the trolls do here, every time there's a Palin tread.

But then they don't care about Sarah./sarc

...and my kid tried to make an excuse for it. He said it was the fault of the RSS feed. Go Figure.

"The Tentacles of Treason are many and spread far and wide."

Expect more and more of this until the Information Highway is turned into a dirt road.

This era is the Skidmark in America's Shorts.

Would this sort of be like Fox magically inflating numbers by showing campaign footage from last year?

You need to do a little thread coordination.

Yardale's "More Sarah" thread says "hundreds".

Posted by: Burt at November 19, 2009 10:04 AM

Oh, you mean changing a post to make it conform to the "current reality", Burt? I'm sure Yardale posted his article after the so-called correction was made. Van Helsing's post shows that there was a correction made. Unlike the NYTs, Moonbattery doesn't cover up what it reported previously by sending it down the memory hole. It simply updates based on the latest information and keeps the original reporting intact.

I blame AP. Check out yahoo yesterday:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091118/ap_on_en_ot/us_palin_book_tour

and yahoo today

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091119/ap_on_en_ot/us_palin_book_tour

Not saying Google doesn't have a nefarious agenda but this one lands on the AP in my opinion. Luckily for this site, AP is just as moonbatty as Google.

I have one word:

Bing.

Posted by: Wyatt's Torch at November 19, 2009 11:36 AM

From the Washington Post, as pulled from Google News about three minutes ago:

"Thousands line up in Michigan for Palin

The cameras, the handlers, the fans -- it's like 2008 never ended

Her return had all the trappings of a political campaign -- bus, advance team, security detail, political handlers, rope lines, satellite trucks and approximately 2,000 supporters and gawkers on site."

I guess it's hard to scrub all those pesky facts, even for Google. NOW you know why Obama has a Communications Czar waiting in the wings. These little facts are going to cause trouble in 2010 and 12 unless gotten under control IN A HURRY!

Posted by: Wyatt's Torch at November 19, 2009 11:45 AM

Wyatt,
Yea, I have tried Bing, works well. It is my default search.
Wish I could consider an alternative to Gmail. Been using it so long I am pretty much locked in.(been using it since 2003 or 2004)
I think it is self-evident that the founders and the staff of Google are pretty much left wing whackos.

See! The trolls, just can't help themselves.

"I have one word:

Chea, I'm sick of those damn liberal hippies at google; I won't buy their operating system when it comes out.

Palin's sudden resurgence is adding dozens of examples to my liberal bias against Palin list (216 and counting).

Posted by: BURNING HOT at November 19, 2009 9:01 PM

The official count of people at Palin's book signing in Michigan was 4.28 gilzillion people. Now, I know that a lot of the left wing media has tried to downplay that number to a measly 1.5 to 2 gilzillion but it really was 4.28 gilzillion.
