Flights of MSM Fancy: When Air Force One Is Not Air Force One

The media and blogosphere were abuzz yesterday over the announcement that self-professed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed will be judged by a jury of "his peers" in a Manhattan "criminal court." But was the coverage slanted, you ask? From the Reuter's news coverage, intrepid blogger Jim Lynch of Bright and Early made an astute observation. Quoting Reuters:

Several security scares since 2001 — a 2007 steam pipe explosion and earlier this year a low flying plane trailed by a fighter jet flying over the Statue of Liberty for a photo shoot — have created panic among still jittery New Yorkers.
