Democrat Values: Jail for People Who Don't Buy Insurance, Citizenship for Border Jumpers

Posted by Gregory of Yardale at November 12, 2009 8:10 AM

Once all of the mandates for health care are added up, an insurance policy that complies with the recently passed PelosiCare bill will cost $15,000 annually. Under Section 7201 of the PelosiCare bill, people who don't buy the super-expensive insurance the Government will mandate will be guilty of a felony with fines of $250,000 and up five years in prison.

Yeesh, talk about your heavy hand of government.

And the reason the Obamacrats want to take away your freedom to choose whether or not to have health insurance is because they are concerned about people "free-loading" on other people. Obama's Teleprompter made him justify the jail terms thusly, "Penalties are appropriate for people who try to free ride the system and force others to pay for their health insurance.”

Since when do Obamunist Democrats care about people freeloading off the system?
These are the same people who want as many people on welfare as possible for as long as possible... generations, ideally. These are the same people who want to reward those who violate our immigration laws with a "path to citizenship." These are the same people who monkey-wrenched the economy by making banks give mortgages to freeloaders who couldn't afford them. This is a party whose entire philosophy is based on taxing the productive so that the unproductive can have a free ride. Now, they claim to be concerned about people freeloading off the health care system?

The same people who want to free cop-killers like Mumia Abu Jamal want to throw you in jail if you want to pay for your own health care.

As far as buying gold goes, remember what FDR did - made private ownership of gold illegal. ObaMAO would probably outlaw silver and platinum too.

The govt can't enforce immigration law, but they can require and enforce participation in health plans?

What will they do with illegal immigrants with respect to this law? If illegals will be included in the public plan (which Obama said would not happen), then they are the freeloaders Obama warns us about. They don't pay, but they benefit from free care in the emergency room.

If illegals are included in the public plan, then he will prove himself a liar, and have the difficult problem of enforcing the law among a group that is not real fond of regulation.

OOPS. I meant to say "if illegals WON'T be included in the public plan, then they are the freeloaders..."

Posted by: Alan at November 12, 2009 9:12 AM

ObaMAO will get around the illegals getting health insurance by declaring an amnesty and declaring all illegals are now US citizens. Presto chango - 2 problems solved at the same time. At least in his mind.

Posted by: Bad Robot! at November 12, 2009 9:13 AM

I am confused. They are worried about future freeloaders while trying to help the current freeloaders?

Posted by: Dan at November 12, 2009 9:19 AM

Bad Robot, I suspect you're right about amnesty. Then what? Illegals are not big on participating legally. That's a big group of scofflaws to suddenly bring on to the health care books.

I suppose enforcement of participation will be very selective. Since dems want to claim the illegal vote they've been courting, we won't see any enforcement there.

Will there be an exception for gold teeth?

Posted by: Dan at November 12, 2009 9:22 AM

Gold teeth/fillings will be removed during your mandatory annual health checkup under ObamaCare and replaced with teeth made of that stuff they make the Golden Dollars out of.

My understanding is that illegal aliens, ahem, excuse me, "undocumented guests" are specifically excluded from the mandatory purchase and any subsequent penalties for noncompliance. It is an expected feature that they will free ride.

After all, it would far too invasive and insensitive to actually inquire about someone's legal status and expect them to abide by the same laws as citizens.

Maybe they can explain the jump from their previous hysteria about people being denied healthcare for lack of insurance to these same people suddenly becoming freeriders. First they're benig denied medical care, now they're getting it for free. Which is it, Mr. Prez?

Don't you know it is rude to ask guests too many questions and expect them to contribute. Guests should be able to relax and not worry about anything, we should be more concerned about their comfort not ours.

Let the riots and shooting begin! By the way does anyone here know what it is called when the USA has 2 or more consecutive quarters of no to negative growth with a growing unemployment rate? The Government insists that we are in a mere recession but if you know anything well the truth is that the last time the USA was in a DEPRESSION the government also LIED.

Good luck to you all in what little time we have before the blood bath (Communist Purge) starts in earnest!

They better start opening up those jail cells filled with mary jane smokers and sellers because I foresee a huge influx of non-paying-for-health-care-criminals filling up the justice system. Myself being one of the first, as I haven't used, or purchased health insurance since it screwed me over the last time I used it ten years ago(the only time in my life I ever used it).

Here's an idea, how about jail time for people that conspire to use public elected office as a means to fleece the American public while lying about their true purposes and that conspire to use the legislative power of their elected offices to destroy the country.

Alpha, You might want to let the supreme court, the congress and the idiot in the white house know about these cases since just about everything they have done violates those rulings.

Most of what congress has done for the last 50 years is in direct violation of constitutional power or rules.
