Cluelessness Compounded

Posted by Van Helsing at November 6, 2009 7:54 AM

Yesterday the Moonbat Messiah turned stomachs with his inappropriate demeanor when he gave a jaunty "shout-out" to "Congressional Medal of Honor winner" Joe Medicine Crow before belatedly getting around to delivering his obligatory words of regret over Religion of Peacenik Nidal Malik Hasan's horrific killing spree. However, NewsBusters informs us that Joe Medicine Crow, said to be the last living Plains Indian war chief, didn't even win the Congressional Medal of Honor, but the Medal of Freedom. Chairman Zero awarded it to him himself just last August. But medals and stuff are all kind of the same to a community organizer.

Our Commander in Chief.

Why wouldn't Barry Soetoro be jaunty? It was only a bunch of American GIs that got murdered by one of his co-religionists.

FLUSH THIS ADMIN!

Posted by: GunnyG at November 6, 2009 8:11 AM

Wonder how many minutes passed between the event and his heinous' reaction? Think about how Bush was treated for continuing reading to the children...

I couldn't believe my ears when Fox cut to him and he made that statement. With reports of more than a dozen people dead, an unknown number wounded and he actually used the phrase "shout-out" on live tv before making such a sobering announcement.

If Obama isn't the stupidest, most ignorant jackass to live at 1600 Penn Ave, I can't figure out who is. He has given fresh meaning to the phrase "dumb as a box of rocks".

but, but, but, Obama was giving a SPEECH!!!!

Posted by: blue at November 6, 2009 8:33 AM

You are quite correct that Obama stumbled regarding the medal. Dr. Joe Medicine Crow, among other honors, has won the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal.

However, way too much hot air and disinformation is being expended regarding what he said prior to talking about Fort Hood.

This was NOT a media scrum called so the President could address that tragedy.

The President was at the Department of the Interior where he was hosting 564 tribal leaders at the White House Tribal Nations Conference.

He was scheduled to give the opening and closing remarks at the conference. Behind him in the video you can see a flag or banner with a tribal nations buffalo on it.

What the video shows is the President actually giving the closing remarks at that conference to the participants who were there, where the media was already set up to record.

At about 1:44 he explains how he planned to make broader remarks regarding the conference. He then begins talking about the Fort Hood shootings.

Obamas polls are falling despite the undeserved peace prize and our elected tyrant hasnt been in for a full year yet CRY ME A RIVER MOONBATS

Posted by: SPURWING PLOVER at November 6, 2009 8:40 AM

The shout out thing done in a light hearted manner was definitely cringe-worthy at a moment like that.

Posted by: First Name WARREN - Last Name PEACE !! at November 6, 2009 8:56 AM

Just imagine had it been Bush who did this. We know the way the media would have flayed him.

Posted by: William Teach at November 6, 2009 8:59 AM

Obama is not clueless he understands what he is doing and obama wants Americans to be killed by the millions.

Posted by: Fred Dawes at November 6, 2009 9:20 AM

"This was NOT a media scrum called so the President could address that tragedy."

It should have been. Or at least, a separate, more important one preceeding his "shout out" op. It's disgraceful any way you look at it.

Posted by: Seamus at November 6, 2009 9:23 AM

The Fox website currently has a live feed up from outside the White House where Obama is scheduled to speak.

Last night I had a Fox live feed up for what seemed like hours, waiting for the news conference from Fort Hood. Go to the Fox live feed now and you will see the usual. Cameramen getting ready, guys saying "test, test" into their mics etc.

The point about yesterday's conference is, the media was already set up and ready to cover the closing remarks that Obama was scheduled to give. He began his scheduled closing remarks to the conference attendees, then broke off from his planned speech to talk about Fort Hood.

Posted by: Lao at November 6, 2009 9:33 AM

Lao said "Behind him in the video you can see a flag or banner with a tribal nations buffalo on it."

well of course, that makes up fro Obama being such a dufuss.

Posted by: blue at November 6, 2009 9:37 AM

The point, re the buffalo flag, is to indicate he was indeed standing before the Tribal Nations Conference, not a generic press scrum.

Posted by: Lao at November 6, 2009 9:40 AM

President Barak stupid Obama.

Posted by: G at November 6, 2009 9:51 AM

Lao, the point is the Fort Hood remarks should have come at the BEGINNING of his closing remarks before the Tribal Nations Conference, not at the end. By adding them at the closing of his closing remarks, it shows where this tragedy lies in his order of priorities. LAST!

i was watching all this live, and obama completely horrified me with his jocular demeanor and "shout out" before his teleprompter scrolled up to more somber paragraphs which he attempted to transition to with a graver facade, i just wanted to smash the tv in with my fist, NOT MY PRESIDENT!!!!

Posted by: weewilly at November 6, 2009 10:00 AM

Barack Hussein Obama fits perfectly the PC elite's definition of the new descriptor "Man-made Disaster".

Posted by: pomalom at November 6, 2009 10:41 AM

His glib attitude for the first two minutes of the address was highly inappropriate.

Posted by: V the K at November 6, 2009 10:43 AM

A more adept response would have been to depart from the prepared remarks, summarizing briefly what he'd intended to say, and then somberly address the situation in Fort Hood, and conclude by asking everyone to pray for the victims. Instead of "shouting out" to a CMH winner, he could have used the CMH angle as the basis for talking about Fort Hood, and the sacrifices made by the military.

He didn't do that, obviously, and while I don't fault him for it, his jocular tone was clearly inappropriate. Guess no one changed the programming of the teleprompter.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at November 6, 2009 10:54 AM

Awww, Jay, now don't blame the teleprompter! TOTUS works hard, never gets any credit, only gets press when it screws up or is broken. :-(

Posted by: pomalom at November 6, 2009 10:58 AM

OK - Obama gona address us again today on the same subject - lets see what & how he sez it & see if he apologies fro his gaffe yesterday...I'm waiting

Posted by: blue at November 6, 2009 11:21 AM

The amazing thing to me, pomalom, is lefties gushing about what a wonderful speaker Obama is. Sure, he gives good teleprompter, but when he's off it, speaking extemporaneously, he's hopeless. Then he makes Bush look like William F. Buckley. Not only is he tongue-tied and stammering, but what words he does manage to get out don't make any sense. It's complete gibberish.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at November 6, 2009 11:21 AM

If you read through what Jay said just above, you'd know this is the response a president would instinctively do. The fact that it is a million miles away from it even occuring to chairman zero speaks volumes.

Posted by: Karin at November 6, 2009 11:23 AM

Me for President!

Actually, it's doesn't reflect great speaking skills or perspicacity on my part to do this. Anyone else who spent time lecturing before a few hundred undergrads, and/or as a corporate executive addressing a corporate audience, would know to do this without even thinking about it.

I don't expect Soetoro to handle this that deftly. It's his first job, after all. But feathering the "yuk yuk" tone would have been nice.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at November 6, 2009 11:50 AM

Obama has just instructed us to not jump to conclusions on shooting.

I do believe Obama is foreshadowing an announcement where he apologizes to all Muslims for the US Army shooting one of their freedom fighters.

As I noted yesterday in a thread, I think I know why Obots and the State-run Media think The One is such a great speaker: Nanorobots, in the Obama Kool-Aid, little nanorobots that settle in the brain and stimulate the pleasure centers every time he speaks, especially when he stammers and stutters unintelligible gibberish.

It's the only thing that makes sense.

Posted by: The MaryHunter at November 6, 2009 11:56 AM

Newsweek is blaming the shooting rampage on a overstretch military (it’s the Pentagon's fault), and not this murdering a**hole, who never seen combat.

Times like this make me miss GWB.
At last we're stuck with Barack Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama.

Posted by: G at November 6, 2009 12:44 PM

BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!

This is what the left follows?

This is their God?

Posted by: Dave at November 6, 2009 2:19 PM

It is quite extraordinary that no one on the left can even put the sippy cup down, just for a second, and say, "OK, you have a point. His tone was inappropriate given the events at Fort Hood."

So, you have to take it one of two ways: Either the left doesn't see a problem with his glib attitude upon learning of the deaths of 12 American soldiers; or criticism of Dear Reader is just unthinkable to them.

Which is it? Is it both?

Posted by: V the K at November 6, 2009 2:46 PM

By putting the military as an afterthought speaks volumes as to the priority where we in the military stand in his pecking order. As Commander in Chief, he should know that the award he mentioned in the shout out is the MEDAL OF HONOR and not the Congressional Medal of Honor and you don't win it, it is awarded to an individual for going above and beyond the call of duty in battle. Idiot.

Posted by: cletus at November 6, 2009 5:08 PM

May God rcv those that were killed at Fort Hood with open arms.
