But They Claim There's No War on Christmas...
Posted by Gregory of Yardale at November 25, 2009 8:12 AM
A Christmas tree was put up in the Orange County (California) courthouse as the centerpiece for Operation Santa Claus, a charity that provides toys and gifts for disadvantaged children (and one I have worked with in the past).
An intolerant, progressive busy-body was offended, complained and the tree was taken down.
How is this possible, if there is no war on Christmas?
A bright spot; courthouse employees are petitioning to have the tree returned.
So they must take down a christmas tree just becuase one idiot complains it offensive to them WHY DONT THIS MOONBAT MOON JERK GO SOAK THEIR HEAD IN CEMENT

Happens all the time. Small group complains, spineless bureaucrat complies, everybody loses.

America is a big country and there's plenty of stupid to go around... on both sides... But why do you BSCs go looking for something to get bent out of shape about? Its almost as if you are genetically born to bitch...
Now if you want to bitch about half the federal budget going into The Project for a New American Century, which Obama seens to to be into as well, I'm with you. (look it up if you don't know it).

Again, it sounds like this.

Wait just a doggone minute. You guys are the ones who demand that Christmas trees be removed from public site. You guys are the ones that insist that Government be used to promote your values and suppress all others. Do you just expect us to sit back and let you walk all over us?
half the federal budget going into The Project for a New American Century,
Never mind, there's no point arguing with a tinfoil hatter.

"Never mind, there's no point arguing with a tinfoil hatter"
This on a site that bought into birther crap. LOL
Posted by: Anonytard at November 25, 2009 10:25 AM
By this "logic", we can have LIBERALS banned from public places for "offending" us.
"Anonymous at November 25, 2009 10:25 AM"
This, from a fool who bought into "hope and change". LOL!

Why do progs hate diversity so much?
Posted by: Judith M. at November 25, 2009 10:57 AM
Why do leftists hate and fear disadvantaged children? Why are they so racist?
Posted by: Jay Guevara at November 25, 2009 11:20 AM
They really do hate poor people. It was Henry Waxman who sponsored outlawing the garage sale/secondhand clothing, books, & toys for children. That's all some can afford.
Let me jump on the trolls first: Yes, GWB signed it, but his veto would have been overturned, when you include the RINO's who for voted for it, too.
Posted by: Karin at November 25, 2009 11:33 AM
I guess real people cant be "offended" by these thumbdick morons. It must be nice to wield that much power. "I dont like that American flag". Take it down, dont wanna offend you. How about your very existance offends me. Now go getcha some universal healthcare.

Poor little victims! Ann Coulter likes to portray the left as "playing the victim", but good God, are you listening to yourselves? You cry "My Freedoms", "My Christmas" "My churches!" and on and on. You have not lost any of them. You are hypocrites! If a company looks at their base and decides to stick with "happy holidays", it is pretty clear they won't offend anyone in melting pot that is America.Courthouse's also have that choice. We do have a little thing called separation of church and state. Jesus! What a bunch of crybabies!

We're not the ones crying and begging the government to give us health care because we're too stupid and irresponsible to take care of our own. Anonytard.

annydumbass please show me in OUR Constitution where it says "separation of church and state".

I'm sorry does the First Amendment confuse you?
Posted by: Anonymous Troll with German IP Address at November 25, 2009 2:07 PM
The First Amendment was only intended to prevent Congress from establishing a state religion and forcing everyone to join it.
It's only the intolerant Theophobic left that insists it means that the public square must be sterilized of any acknowledgment of Christian faith.
Posted by: Exit Pursued by a Bear at November 25, 2009 2:11 PM
Nice manipulation of a legal terminology. Church stays out of the states business and vice versa.
Posted by: Anonymous Troll with German IP Address at November 25, 2009 2:18 PM
Church stays out of the states business and vice versa.
No such language is in the First Amendment, you kraut pinhead.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"
Congress can't set up a state religion. Congress can't prevent you from practicing a religion. Not a damn thing in there that says "the church has to stay out of the state's business..."
Thanks for demonstrating your colossal degree of ignorance.
Posted by: Exit Pursued by a Bear at November 25, 2009 2:26 PM
Yet it is interpreted by law and political elites. It is derived from the First Amendment. Yet, we know how you love that tax exempt status, so adhering to the Constitution is a bit beyond you.
It is also the right that measures candidates by their religion. So, at some point action would be taken to prevent you from "establishing a state religion and forcing everyone to join it."

Yes, because we know Bush being Christian wasn't a problem for the left you vapid twatwaffle.
Posted by: xantl at November 25, 2009 3:25 PM
Ideally a elected officials religion should have no bearing on policy. The issue with Bush was that he mentioned "crusade" leading up to war, and stated that "God wanted people to be free. I paraphrase.

To sum up your post:
"Shut up! You suck for not thinking EXACTLY like I do!"
Just remember, it took us over 200 years to see our republic begin to crumble; it took only TWELVE for yours to die.

So when did a Christmas Tree for Operation Santa Claus, become a symbol of the Christian religion? Then to be banned from the publics courthouse. IT'S A FREAKIN' TREE. For a childrens charity no less. I guess changing the name to Holiday Tree wasn't enough to bring good tidings and joy to some people.
Posted by: Gregory of Prescott at November 25, 2009 11:18 PM
Right on, Greg. And since they claim the Christmas tree is a "pagan symbol", what's the harm in having one in front of the OC courthouse?
Posted by: Atomic Lib Smasher at November 26, 2009 1:59 AM
Why would they take it down? Probably because you fundie morons would have more of an issue with the Pagan symbolism or Mithras that is the year end holiday than the faux Christmas rip off. We are more pissed about the rip off than anything.
My god you guys are idiots. I've come here now and then because it's been internationally pointed out what pathetic loons post on here and I had to see it for myself (now I'm one of them, ugh) but seriously it's like eavesdropping on the dweebs at a lunch table who have no idea what the hell they're talking about but they're really serious and spiteful about it.
Get laid already- jeez. My brain can take no more of this site, ciao!
Posted by: Charlene at November 26, 2009 10:24 AM
(An intolerant, progressive busy-body was offended, complained and the tree was taken down.)
Why do they never listen to the complaints of NORMAL people who want the Christmas Tree up? ONE busy-body idiot libtard and the tree comes down. 1200 complaints of NORMAL people, but nooo ... we can't put the tree back up because it might OFFEND that one IDIOT LIBTARD!
Listen here, busy-body Libtard ... STUFF IT! IT's CHRISTMAS AND WE'RE GONNA CELEBRATE IT AS SUCH! ... If you don't like it ... LEAVE. Go to one of your revered Communist countries and try that *&$@ there! See how long you survive. Hasta la vista, Baby!
Posted by: Title of Liberty at November 26, 2009 11:28 AM
Libtards hate holidays (except April Fools Day, to which they so closely relate) because MOST holidays revolve around FAMILY and FAMILY functions. They despise the true meaning of "Family". The nuclear family is a threat to them. What better way to screw-up a nation than to start small and ruin a family first. Cowards.
