Alan Grayson: Follow the Rules! Make an Appointment!

Posted by The MaryHunter at November 5, 2009 7:50 PM

"The Rules" apparently require the media to "Make an Appointment" with congressmen like Rep. Alan Grayson if they wish to ask questions.

Is that so? Well, naturally, as Grayson explains:

Shine a little light on a cockroach, watch it run.

Hat tip: Bill O'Reilly.
Couresy of rexanders8.

Priest Arrested with 11 Pro-lifers at Nancy Pelosi's Office

Dear Pro-life Friend:

On Thursday Afternoon, November 5, 2009, Father Norman Weslin - a living pro-life legend - and 11 other pro-lifers were arrested at Nancy Pelosi's office at #235 Cannon office building.

If only all Catholic Priests and protestant preachers had the courage of Father Weslin!!! We would have ended child-killing long ago!

They entered her office, with two complete copies of the bill - all 2,000 pages (4,000 total!) - and proceeded to rip it up, page by page, and strew it on the floor. What a picture!!!

Among those arrested was pro-life hero, Father Norman Weslin, age 78, the Founder of Lambs of Christ.

Aprox 150 supporters were in the hall, chanting: "Kill the bill! Kill the bill!" About 10 supporters of the bill chanted, "Health care for all!" Aprox 30 police were on site, arresting pro-lifers, one at a time. It was very dramatic...very intense. (Watch the video!)

No supporters of the bill were arrested!

See raw footage of the protest, and some of the arrests at the following link.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5eNTYpmPsE

In case you do not know: the vote is scheduled in the House for the bill on Saturday.

Right now, it is my understanding that Nancy Pelosi and crew are 2 votes short: but they are working hard to get two Democrats to join them, and to ram this down our throats. Like never before, all 435 congressmen need to hear from you.

Call your Representative; if he/she is voting for the bill, threaten their job. If they are on the fence: threaten their job. Tell them you are angry, and you will work to end their career if they vote for this. The number is: 202 224 3121.

If you want to reach every House Member in the country with a PERSONAL LETTER FROM YOU...SENT BY FAX...go to:

http://www.overturnroe.com/obamacare/allreps.htm

You can write your own words. Be as aggressive as you want (as long as it is ethical and legal!) in your words as you fight to "kill the bill!" Then, copy your letter to your friends and your pastor, showing them what you said to every congressman in America.

No matter what: call your Representative right away at 202-224-3121.

No matter what: watch the video, and forward it to your friends.

And if you can, write to EVERY HOUSE MEMBER - all 435 of them - in America, for only pennies per Representative.

http://www.overturnroe.com/obamacare/allreps.htm

Friend...let's not "leave anything on the court." We must crush this bill, or it will crush us.

For Christ, and His babies.

Methinks Anonymouse didn't even view the video. Then again, that is none too surprising for a turd-laying troll.

Why am I wasting valuable keystrokes on Anon?

Posted by: pomalom at November 5, 2009 8:18 PM

pomalom, because immature and uncivilized ruffians require a good thrashing until they behave.

Posted by: Doug at November 5, 2009 8:31 PM

"...uncivilized ruffians..."
Posted by: Doug at November 5, 2009 8:31 PM

IMO - an uncivilized ruffian has gonads. liberal trolls are pussies and so are void of the organs of manhood.

I saw this video on Hannity last week. I bet Alan 'the Olberman' Grayson would have talked to a reporter from a less reputable news agency. (That would be all of them but FOX.) Just like his little brown pussy gawd - he's scared completely speechless by FOX News. He's a worthless jackass who spouts idiotic hate with no basis of truth, and will not be around after his reelection bid.

Most democrats know better than to bother with Grif's ambush jobs. I did see the video already, and Grayson is correct....make an appointment.

Posted by: Anonymous at November 5, 2009 9:56 PM

So, all those CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, etc etc reports who 'ambushed' other legislators should have been *eghad* blown the raspberry and told to go "make an appointment"? How well would that go over in the State-run Media if Boehner or Buchannan did that?

C'mon, Anon, how many double standards must there be in the Liberal Wordview? One must get exhausted thinking up new excuses all the time.

F*ck you, "anonymous." Your ilk are murderous marxist bastards.

DUH! Fox ambush "journalism" plies their trade yet again. Grayson was far too polite.

Grayson could have answered the question without slowing down one bit, and would have completely diffused this attempt at, as you call it, "ambush journalism."

The reporter was not asking for time out of Grayson's schedule, nor was he asking Grayson to make specific comments using facts and information not readily on hand.

He asked for a simple clarification, that Grayson could have given without a cheat sheet, and without an interruption to his schedule.

In this case, Grayson deflected to the appointment excuse, even though simple questions like this are frequently asked and answered in the halls of Congress.

Of course Grayson didn't want to answer an unprompted question. Unprompted questions deprive his staffers of the opportunity to write those venomous and unhinged quips that have made Grayson the darling of the nutroots.

Ah, gadfly journalism. The Enquirer would be proud.

The dude doesn't want to answer questions in a hallway, that's his prerogative. I'm guessing he's referring to his own rules.

My question is, why did the reporter need more then two repetitions of "make an appointment" to buzz off?

Posted by: SK at November 5, 2009 8:17 PM

Yes, how dare they arrest people for failing to follow police orders and littering (sarcasm)

Sure, when it's something YOU agree with, it's ok to break the law.

Posted by: hey you guys at November 6, 2009 12:08 AM

Democrat legislator is rude to someone who asks uncomfortable questions? Get outta here!

Make an appointment, my ass. The reporter wasn't rude in any way, and the video proves that the "friendly" networks aren't treated this way. Only the one that actually is interested in reporting news, instead of propagandizing for the Left.

Besides, these Congress-critters work for US. We don't need any steeking appointments when they're on our dime. They work for that reporter, everybody employed at FOX, me personally, and everyone else who pays taxes. My boss doesn't "make an appointment" before calling me into his office to get something clarified. He simply asks me the question. Immediately. I don't have the luxury of telling him to "buzz off."

Ignore the above posts. Someone has hijacked my name and is trying to make me look like a left-wing tool.

So, you guys want your congressperson to be some idiot who lets people bait him into spending his time in hallways answering inane questions?

Posted by: hey you guys at November 6, 2009 3:43 AM

"hey you guys" namejacker:

So, you guys want your congressperson to be some idiot

"Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But I repeat myself."
- Mark Twain

>b>who lets people bait him into spending his time in hallways answering inane questions?

This insane scumbag, Grayson, is my congressman. Thus far he's managed to make himself scarce for any difficult questions from anyone. He grants very few interviews, and then usually only to sycophantic media. His "town halls" are a joke, rigged ahead of time with union members and held in venues far too small and with almost no advanced notice.

Now, as for you, show some decency and use your own screen name.

Very touching story SK, that Father is a very brave priest indeed. We've entered a new phase in America, one where dissenters are arrested by the police because of their political views. I'd like those reading my post to read that last sentence again and let it sink in. Then again... we're strong people and we have genuine values, this is not an oppressor's paradise like China. We WILL overcome, it is simply a dark spot in our history. As rexanders8 mentions... let's shine light on the cockroaches! It is their worst ennemy and our best, legal, patriotic weapon. We simply expose the lies, ask the hard questions and post the videos of their crap. They can "misspeak" (new liberal word for a lie) all they want but we're constantly piling hard proof.

Grayson really DOES look like Shrek; however, his bad behavior would give even ogres a bad name.

Posted by: Judith M. at November 6, 2009 6:33 AM

"Ambush journalism" is what you use when they don't have the NADS to give you an appointment and won't talk to you because you ask the questions THEY don't want to answer. In other words you're not the fawning lamestream. THAT is why FNC IS number 1! ;-)

Ah, Inspector HeyyouGuys, we meet again. The Enquirer broke the John Edwards baby story. This is something we might want to have known in a prez candidate, don't you think?

Posted by: Karin at November 6, 2009 7:51 AM

More evidence of the double standard for liberals vs. conservatives. This Grayson guy is unhinged. I hope the Florida voters throw him out the next chance they get. He is an embarrassment to the Congress.

Ok, fair enough. You're upset he's not being responsive to his constituents, which is absolutely a fair complaint. Here's why this doesn't help.

As evidenced from this clip, the fellow with the microphone wasn't interested in journalism. The clip clearly demonstrates that, since we don't even see the supposedly simple question that was asked. The focus is on the Rep refusing to answer. The goal this reporter, like many tabloid journalists, seems to be riling people up until they snap and then weeping about how mean they are. I'm sure this is amusing to you, since you already don't like the Rep, but it's not really that impressive. Hound a group of people long enough and one is bound to snap at you. This kind of behavior just makes Reps less likely to have any unofficial talks with the press.

If this reporter, based on this incident, mounted a campaign to get himself an appointment and reported on his repeated failure to do so, I would have at least some respect for him.

Posted by: hey you guys at November 6, 2009 9:14 AM

Elected officials should be taking the high road, not playing cat and mouse games with journalists.

I can understand Grayson's reaction if this journalist were trying to slow him down or delay him. That didn't happen.

Grayson's reaction is nothing more than an attempt to avoid answering a straight question.

Left or right doesn't matter. Answer the damn question. This Congressional court jester is supposed to be working for us, or at least until Nov. 2010.

By the way, what this clip doesn't show is O'Reilly mentioning that his show has called several times to set up an appointment, and GRAYSON DOES NOT RETURN HIS CALLS.

And, before some moonbat says it, this isn't about Grayson being selective of who he gives interviews to. Fox is one of the biggest names in news. Regardless of Grayson's opinion of Fox, he should be granting it interviews since many of his constituents get their news from Fox.

This man is not simply selective of the outlets he grants interviews to. Do not forget that the comment which started this whole controversy was made on The Alex Jones Show, a radio show full of paranoid, unhinged conspiracy theories. Of all the major syndicated broadcasters, Jones is the most out there. Seriously. I think Limbaugh is more popular with the San Francisco audience than Jones is with America as a whole.

Posted by: Anonymous Countermoonbat at November 6, 2009 9:55 AM

Grayson is a blithering idiot. Most of us in his district continue to be embarassed at his circus-like behavior.

He is a lawyer who doesn't understand economics. Since he was elected, he has voted for ALL of the record smashing deficit bills passed in Congress. He talks about Republicans allowing people to die. How about our grandcildren?? Aren't they going to be crushed to death with the burden of debt???

ANYONE BUT GRAYSON IN 2010!!
