The Shape of Socialized Medicine in Britain
Posted by Van Helsing at October 10, 2009 10:44 AM
This is how socialized medicine has been shaping up in the vast ruin where England used to be:

The picture above shows what happens when you break your arm in a country where you pay exorbitant taxes for "free" healthcare and then have to wait 10 months for an operation.
Torron Eeles claims surgeons cancelled on him four times, leaving him unable to work and living in fear of losing his home.
His incapacity benefit was cancelled 'because I can turn on a tap and I can lift my arm', he said.
'It's been so long, the bones have knitted back together. Sleeping is really uncomfortable because, whenever I roll over, my arm gets in the way,' added the 50-year-old.
'I'm a kitchen fitter and plumber by trade but I can't even slice a loaf of bread, let alone work.'
Mr Eeles, from Welham Green, Hertfordshire, fractured his arm falling down stairs at home in December last year and had his arm put in plaster by casualty doctors.
He was then told he would need a metal plate because the bone fragments were too far apart.
The first two operations at Queen Elizabeth II hospital in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, were cancelled because of a lack of beds and operating time, he said.
A third operation in February was delayed by his high blood pressure while a fourth, planned for May, was binned because of his smoking.
So we see that Eeles isn't the innocent victim after all; his bureaucratic overlords rightfully denied him medical care because he smokes.
Future cost savings might be achieved by withholding healthcare from anyone who consumes trans fats or can't prove they jog five miles a day.
On a tip from Steve T. Hat tip: Nothing to Do With Arbroath.

I had a compound fracture of my right humerous when I was 26. I was working full time but didn't have health insurance. Anyway, I was never refused treatment for my injury. I ended up having a bone graft surgery which because there was about an inch of bone missing. I can't imagine what I would have done if the government had been in charge of how I was treated or who treated me.

Man, oh man, that poor guy! It's actually painful to even look at his arm. I think it'd be great if a group of U.S. doctors offered to fly him over here and repair him as much as they could. It'd be especially advantageous if it was the group of doctors who oppose the current health care plan that were at the Tea Party in D.C....what a terrific gesture that's be!

There are not Death Panels, you stupid reich-wingers. Sure, maybe, 'Permanent Disfigurement and Disability; panels, but no Death Panels. Unh-unh. Obama promised there would be no Death Panels... just like he promised he'd have no lobbyists in his administration, he would veto any bill with earmarks, and he would have a net decrease in Federal spending.

He looks fine, what's the problem? He should get off his ass and get back to work, he's got taxes to pay. He doesn't think the socialist utopia is gonna pay for itself, does he?

Come on, moonbats, at least one of you has to make a futile effort to try and defend this appalling low point of statist moonbattery.

Philistines! Can't you see the artist is exploring a cutting edge, human bonzai genre? In the words of Klatu -- OPEN YOUR MINDS! OPEN YOUR MINDS!

Ah, what the hell. It looks like ol' Crooked Arm might just have a new ability, or could "develop a new skill" with that arm, such as car engine repair - that andgled arm would be great for reaching into hard-to-reach nooks and crannies.
Why, he could make a fine plumber!
just kidding!!!! - what a damn shame. I, too think it would be easy for a few U.S. docs to get together and get that fellow's arm fixed.

This poor, poor man. It's completely horrifying that the Obama administration is litterally racing to get us there!!

If he can't make a living it Britain, I'm sure the SEIU has a position for him as a dues-paying member on a public project.

Even with crappy healthcare, I'd have went to a veterinarian. I bet a dog doctor could have done better than what he's got now. Hell, some vets are probably better than some of the quacks in hospitals anyway.

Where did you get that picture of Goatse?

This is stupid. Wanna see worse? How about all the sick and dying people in the United States because they dont have health care.. At least this guy is still alive. Don't argue with me either. I know several people dying of cancer because they have no health care. Wait what? They couldn't afford it because they were sick and couldn't work?
Do not post ignorance to scare people.

Anonymous, you have no credibility, whatsoever. In this country, medical assistance is available for people who are not able to work. In fact, the poorer a person is, the more likely he is to be eligible for it.

Posted by: Anonymous at October 11, 2009 1:56 AM- "At least this guy is still alive."
Indeed. But he most certainly should not be. The counter-revolutionary traitor actually smoked, in defiance of INGSOC's directive. A Tokarev round to the back of the head, is the prescription for such decadent behaviour. He should be grateful for continuing to draw breath.
Posted by: Anonymous at October 11, 2009 1:56 AM- "...Don't argue with me either."
I am not, comrade.
Posted by: Anonymous at October 11, 2009 1:56 AM- "...I know several people dying of cancer because they have no health care. Wait what? They couldn't afford it because they were sick and couldn't work?"
But comrade, these people you know are as good as dead already. What good are they to the Most Brilliant Leader's Collective? Can they work in the tractor factory? Can they labour on worker's blocks in new Obamagrad? Can they at least dance and sing praise to the The Great Helmsman on May Day? I am sure you see where this going, comrade. The Worker's and Peasant's Revolutionary Council of Health and Well Being cannot afford to waste kopeks on willful lollylaggers who stubbornly cling to their pointless, unproductive lives. The 5 year plan is greater than mere layabouts with cancer.

What kind of voodoo "casualty doctors" do they have practicing medicine in the UK in the first place? Here in the United States, there is no Emergency Room in the world that would refuse to treat any patient. insured or uninsured, with any type of fracture/ dislocation injury, compound of otherwise. To read that this hideous disfiguration was this was in any way, this guy's fault, is insane. What I can assure you is this, even if the guy was uninsured, and U.S. "Casualty Doctors" had treated him like their thsi Brit counterparts, those British "doctors" and hospital would have been so so successfully sued that the hospital would have been out of business, and the Doctors would have surely lost their license to practice. I'd say that the Brit "casualty doctors" had no business practicing medicine in the first place: And, the moonbat state run National Health runs cover for them.

This looks like Mr. McGregg
He had a leg for and arm
And an arm for a leg!
Posted by: ReggieDunlop at October 11, 2009 2:29 PM
Sheesh. I can see why the guy is dressed in a tank-top. It would be close to impossible to get that arm into a conventional T-shirt.
This is an outrage.
