Sign of the Times
You can see this billboard if you travel east on Interstate 70 in Blue Springs, Missouri:

The natives are definitely getting restless.
On a tip from Wiggins.

On I-70 in western Colorful Colorado, there is a sign (not billboard size) but still large enough to be noticed: Governor Bill Ritter welcomes you to Taxarado.
Car registrations went up this year. It cost me about $30.00 more than last year. But my coworker paid about $200.00 more than last year. The extra funds are supposed to go for road and bridge repairs. Yes, the state needs funds for road mand bridge improvments. But why the state didn't take care of these things during more prosperous times is beyond comprehension. Only a Demon-rat would raise taxes during a economic resession. Perhaps the 6,000 prisoners Ritter is going to turn loose could get jobs holding those signs that say "slow" on one side and "stop" on the other.

from the newspaper article ".....If you are traveling in the eastbound lanes of the freeway between Adams Dairy Parkway and the Grain Valley exit you will see a sign that appears to be anti-President Barack Obama."
Appears to be anti-Obama???????
appears to be??????

Restless. And more than willing to lie.
The first and second amendments are not in jeopardy and you are living in conspiracyville if you think they are.

MSH is "....more than willing to lie" when he says. "The first and second amendments are not in jeopardy and you are living in conspiracyville if you think they are."
The First Amendment is most de4finitely in peril, what with all the attempts by the current administration to stifle dissent, revive the (un)Fairness doctrine, etc.
With regard to the Second Amendment, just look at President Obama's voting record when he was back in IL. For that matter, just look at IL firearm laws - they have some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation - and an out-of-control crime rate to match.
On both issues, look at the weenies he has surrounded himself with, such as eric Holder.
"Conspiracyville"? That's somewhere near 41° 59' N / 87° 54' W, right??

Just because Obama hires czars like Mark Lloyd -- who admires Hugo Chavez for shutting down opposition media and thinks free speech means the right for the government, and only the government, to inform the citizenry --- and Cass Sunstein, who thinks hunting should be outlawed --- doesn't mean our rights to free speech and to bear arms are in any kind of jeopardy.
On the other hand, the left was sure that Dick Cheney and Karl Rove were listening in on their phone calls, and that Bush stole both of his elections.

If you want to learn what liberals are up to, just look at the accusations they make against conservatives.
The moonbat left has been throwing around all these accusations of "conspiracy theorists" on the right regarding every issue from constitutional rights to spending to health care.
Ironically enough, the accusations of the liberals seem to mirror the activity of their own conspiracies.
ACORN? Check. Probably the biggest NGO criminal political conspiracy in the history of this nation. Definitely RICO material. ACORN makes the Mafia look charitable and wholesome, by comparison.
Health care? Check. Democratic Congresscritters have been meeting in secret, ignoring their constituents, and planning the next major seizure of liberty, entirely behind closed doors, and outside the sunshine of full disclosure. Their plans to overstep their Constitutional authority and defile the Tenth Amendment are well planned and secretive - hence, a conspiracy.
Free Speech, Gun Rights, et. al.? Check. Obama keeps appointing czars too kooky to be permitted outside the city limits of Berkley. Congress has no oversight over these czars. It does not even know their backgrounds. These czars are operating in secret and without oversight to further their own unconstitutional agendas. Jones, Holdren, Sunstein, Lloyd, etc.
Liberals, if you want to accuse conservatives of harboring "conspiracy theories" then you better make damn sure that you aren't engaging in all sorts of proven conspiracies to violate our rights and the law.
Those who live in glass houses........

You know, I know it's because I'm a civilized human being *correction to modern day: right wing radical racist hate filled NAZI that needs to be tortured and killed for questioning the state* that I try to listen to everyone and make up my own mind about things like the forefathers of the United States of America did. I actually turned around to believe my father in his conviction about the Kennedy's saving the world because they prevented nuclear war.
However, even now, after all the declassified info about the enemy and the nuclear armaments and by this wonderful blog post (no sarcasm, I mean it.) I am forced to conclude that we would have been better off if this country and Russia had set off their nukes to save humanity then from the subhuman menace we have now that pervades every nation and locale on this planet.
I have nowhere to go; there are so many degenerate, sick in the head morons all around the world now I consider it an insult I was ever brought here. If anyone cares to hunt me down and kill me, you'll be my kindest savior for all time.

A lot of folks that got loved tenderly by the Bolsheviks when their power came to fruition, degenerates in the second reich, and then the Nazis in the third reich, Committee of Public Safety, or whatever dangerous group respective to their time were called madmen too. In fact, there are some nice survivor stories that detail how a few individuals that escaped Nazi retaliation were called mentally ill by the folk that just couldn't believe them. Those folk ended up being part of a barbecue as a way of fate apologizing on their behalf to the "madmen."
Ya'll have a nice day and remember that if the degenerates continue to have their way, ye probably won't even have internet access and possibly not even any java to fuel your witty respones. Yeehaw! By the way, remember that even in antimainstream politics if you disagree, you're mentally ill. Glenbeckistan/MSM for the win!

Soooooo trying to squelch, any thing that does not support the “One’s” left wing fantasies via, the FCC or any other crooked scheme is not a bad thing. Is this what the 1st amendment is all about? Letting thugs block polling place go, Yea that’s freedom right? Sending, Union thugs to beat up on anyone who voices dissention, the 1st in action “Right?” Covering up for democratic party felonies, Now that’s “Freedom” Right?
Attacking, a right that is the “Circuit Breaker” in the Bill of rights that has slowed the leftwing from turning this country in to a dictatorship, Freedom….
Yea, a koolaid drinker would be the only one who would no see reality.....Cuba ready when you are...

"The first and second amendments are not in jeopardy and you are living in conspiracyville if you think they are."
What an obvious, transparent, and typically liberal post! Nothing to see here, move along. Look! A shiny object! Of course, silver hammer doesn't support his thesis with a scrap of evidence, just says it as if it makes it so. All the trolls do that. Sorry hammer, we're a little too open-eyed and vigilant to just take your silly word for it.
Posted by: Karin at October 2, 2009 5:54 AM
Well Karin, what "evidence" have you all presented to back up the supposed "threat" to the first and second amendments?
Please offer what your open-eyed vigilance has revealed. Is there legislation on the table?

RE: Posted by: Anonymous at October 2, 2009 12:02 AM
I will repeat: GO GET THE MENTAL HEALTH CARE THAT YOU OBVIOUSLY NEED.
Even though you are really from the Loony Left, once you finally snap and start killing people, our resident troll Lao will hold us "knuckle draggin' right wangers' responsible for your actions because you posted here a few times.
So.....GET HELP. DO IT NOW.
Posted by: TonyD95B at October 2, 2009 11:18 AM
Tony, maybe you shouldn't speak so loudly about "snapping", you are obviously extremely stressed.
I ask "Is there legislation on the table?" and to you that becomes a threat that I'm going to kill people. If you can't answer a simple question, go have a nap, you need it.
Posted by: Maxwell's Silver Hammer at October 2, 2009 11:43 AM
Oooops! I obviously read too quickly and thought you were responding to my preceding post. Apologies Tony, my comments were unjustified.

Attorney General Holder has called for the return of the assault weapons ban, and Obama himself has voiced support for the return of the Fairness Doctrine.
You lose, asswipe. Again.
