Scariest Job Chart Since the Great Depression

Posted by Van Helsing at October 21, 2009 2:24 PM

Via The Business Insider:

This is from July; an updated version would look even scarier, as jobs continue to go up in a puff of Hope and Change. More frightening still, every policy Comrade Obama and our off-the-rails Congress want to ram down our throats is likely to increase unemployment, most conspicuously including the Tax & Charade lunacy that will throw us out of work by the millions.

FDR relentlessly waged war on "the malefactors of great wealth" (better known as employers), driving unemployment through the roof. The result was the apex of Democrat power — total control of the federal government for over a decade, as more people saw themselves as helpless pawns, reliant on wealth redistribution. But in those days, we didn't have Fox News, talk radio, or the Internet to let us know what was being done to us. This is why the White House's campaign against Fox News is even more alarming than it is farcical. Eventually the Obamination Administration will move beyond trying to use FNC as Emmanuel Goldstein for its never-ending Two Minutes Hate and take positive steps to close down opposition media; it will have to if Chairman Obamao doesn't want a revolt on his hands.

Hat tip: Big Government, on a tip from TED.

Update:

Sure enough, this October version is even more terrifying:

Yeah its getting pretty bad out there. No jobs created, no jobs saved, just the MESSiah working to ruin our lives and the US economy.

As a matter of fact Communism is now the population control system in effect. Our new oligarchy in control is intent on "Demand Destruction" so the game will turn more and more deadly. We can expect a cold and deep winter of despair as Citizens are allowed to freeze and or starve to death.

Their plan for US is that we accept our demise and simply drop dead and this will save them the cost of a slug in the brain.

The solution is simple enough that even a liberal could see it: tax cuts.

Yet the liberals who run our economy refuse to put them on the table.

Apparently tax cuts are Bushonian and that's where the imbeciles draw the line.

The national debt.

Yeah, those struggling to find/keep work are struggling, but you know who's going to be in terminal pain soon? Stock market speculators. Up 50 % since March on no news. That isn't going to end well.

Umm, I don't think we are in a recession anymore.

Depression.

What exactly is the "percent job loss relative to peak employment" exactly, and how does that relate to anything I might be familiar with? And when did the 2007 recession start? Looks like January 2008.

Before you guys 'dis the Obama administration too much, bear in mind this is the result of 8 years of "W" who plundered, looted, & got us into 2 needless wars. Not saying Obama is perfect and I'd sure rather get rid of Geithner & Summers, but give the guy a break; he INHERITED this crap from the GOP!
