Profiles in Countermoonbattery: Peter Gadiel

Posted by Van Helsing at October 27, 2009 12:23 PM

At last, someone stands up to the mealy-mouthed mendacity of political correctness:

Peter Gadiel wants everyone to remember his son, James, who was killed during the September 11 terrorist attacks.
And he also wants people to remember how he died: "Murdered by Muslim terrorists."
For Gadiel, any tribute to his son would be woefully incomplete without those words.
"I think it's important, because I think there's a nationwide effort to suppress the identity of the people who were involved in the attacks," Gadiel told Fox News.
Eight years ago, 23-year-old James Gadiel worked for Cantor Fitzgerald on the 103rd floor of the World Trade Center. He died when a hijacked plane crashed into the North Tower.
For years, Gadiel's hometown of Kent, Conn., has wanted to honor the young man with a memorial plaque next to its town hall. But the tribute has hit a snag because James' father wants to include the phrase, "Murdered by Muslim terrorists," under his son's name.
For Peter Gadiel, it is a central fact of the Sept. 11 attacks that is often left out.
"It isn't just overlooked, it's suppressed," Gadiel said. "It's simply wrong to imply that people just died. The buildings didn't just collapse, they didn't just fall down — they were attacked by people with a specific identity, a specific purpose."
Town officials call the phrase too controversial for a small town memorial, and they recently voted against erecting the plaque if Gadiel insists on the language.
"We perceive ourselves as a very warm, loving town," said Ruth Epstein, a Kent selectman and one of two town leaders to vote the plaque down. "To disparage any one ethnic group is just against everything that we stand for here."

It's been eight years since the attacks and liberals are still pretending that Islam is an ethnic group, so that they can claim it's racist to resist it or even acknowledge the crimes it inspires.

Epstein noted that other Sept. 11 memorials, like the one at the Pentagon, don't mention Muslim terrorists, and she said she does not want to alienate any members of her small and close-knit community.
"We have at least one Muslim family living here with children and it — it would be just awful to have them see something like that," Epstein told Fox News.

By the same twisted logic, no Pearl Harbor memorial could mention Japan if there is a single Japanese family in the area, lest it offend them.

But it's open season to offend the relatives of the 9/11 dead by whitewashing the incident into some kind of random accident.

Future generations may not even be aware why the atrocities of September 11 happened. No doubt the events of that day will be spun into a pretext for rich white Christians to oppress doe-eyed, brown-skinned urchins.

So, do the people who refuse to accept that it was Muslim terrorists who carried out the 9-11 attacks consider themselves part of the "Reality-Based Community?"

A future memorial may well read:

"On This Site Once Stood the Town of Kent, Connecticut. . . Forever Buried in the Moral High Ground"

Today you can call neither the pot nor the kettle black. . . but what can you say when the despot really is black?????

Your either part of the solution, or part of the problem! If your not going to stand up against the terrorist, then you stand with them!..nuff said!!

When dealing with Jihadists, you're either part of the solution, or you're part of their final solution.

islam is evil. yeah, I said it.

Fuck you, muslims.

Yes, you can quote me on that.

I repeat: FUCK YOU, muslims!

muhamed, allah, or whatever that muslim pervert's name is.... camel dung be upon him.

Ruth Epstein, your entire family should die in a terrorist attack.

"But the tribute has hit a snag because James' father wants to include the phrase, "Murdered by Muslim terrorists," under his son's name."

I really don't see what the problem is here. His son WAS murdered by Muslin terrorists. This proposed plaque verbiage is not judging all Muslims; it is simply a statement of fact. Certainly the Muslim family in their town can be made to understand that this is a simple statement of fact, and can agree that not all Muslims are bad just as not all Christians are good. And if they can't see that, then fuck 'em - they're part of the problem.

As are these Leftist crybabies on their town council, who seem to want to have something to complain about and to exert their authority over. Fuck them, too.

My 2¢

I have said it before and I will say it again: Islam is a cancer.

Posted by: SK at October 27, 2009 3:59 PM

Oh, sorry about the f-bomb. I wish I hadn't done that, and I now wish I could retract it. It's just that I get so worked-up when these nutbags pull crap like this....

Obama is certainly affecting us all, indirectly if not directly, by setting the tone for this sort of thing to occur - the weakening of soundly American values and principles. But at least he's bringing us all together, uniting us, post racial, yada yada yada....

/sarc off

I sure Hope he stops Changing me in ways I don't like - the way I feel about and act towards others. I don't like who I'm becoming as a result of him (fraudulently) holding our country's highest office. I Hope we Change that. Soon.

Liberal stupidity is what started political correctness, liberal stupidity elected BO and its liberal stupidity that is dragging us down into the Muslim gutter.

Posted by: Fiberal at October 27, 2009 4:10 PM

LouieLouie, I say better the "f-bomb" than ACTUAL BOMBS, which is what muslims tend to use to express themselves when they "get worked up".

Posted by: Essaicheyetee-Bird at October 27, 2009 4:18 PM

Hey, Anonymous, you might want to quote FDR's request for a declaration of war, even if some of his words were left off the 3 photos of the memorials. "I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, December 7, 1941, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese Empire".
"Murdered by Muslim terrorists" seems to just be calling things as the father sees them, and I agree with him.

Posted by: UpNorth at October 27, 2009 4:41 PM

Essaicheyetee-Bird, amen to that, brother.

But isn't that who we Americans are - a people who are able to resolve our differences with words rather than bullets? (Although I'm beginning to fear that, because of the Obama-caused divisiveness we now have, it may come to the latter sometime in the not-too-distant future....)

And isn't that what makes US different from / better than THEM?

God (yes, I said it) help us all.

Posted by: LouieLouie at October 27, 2009 4:42 PM

I see we have another example of political correctness. It seems Ruth Epstein doesn't know the difference between a culture and a sick dangerous religion that openly wants everyone dead who doesn't belong to it. That's how the Muslim Extremists believe. Since the Koran teaches violence and death to any infidel, any Muslim needs to do some soul searching about their "peaceful religion". There is not a Muslim nation anywhere on the planet who has tolerance for non-Muslims or any other religious beliefs. Not one.

Posted by: Bill Dean at October 27, 2009 5:05 PM

Islam is a religion of death and degeneracy. It wasn't the Anglicans who destroyed the twin towers, it was MUSLIM TERRORISTS, acting in the name of allah (snackbar). May they all rot in hell.

Sorry UpNorth.

The post said "By the same twisted logic, no Pearl Harbor memorial could mention Japan if there is a single Japanese family in the area, lest it offend them."

I provided links to pictures of three Pearl Harbor memorials, including the Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor that make no mention of Japan.

"We have at least one Muslim family living here with children and it — it would be just awful to have them see something like that," Epstein told Fox News.

By the same twisted logic, no Pearl Harbor memorial could mention Japan if there is a single Japanese family in the area, lest it offend them.

Even that comparison is a stretch: Japanese people are born Japanese, Muslims choose to be Muslim. And, Japan as a whole accepted its faults during the wars, renounced the ideology that caused the actions, and reformed itself into a peaceful, advanced, civilized and productive society. Islam is still moaning about Crusaders stopping it from taking over the Holy Land centuries ago.

Most Muslims don't choose to be muslim, they have it whispered into their ear when they are newborn. Ask Rifqa Bari.

I used to live next to Kent, CT. A moonbatty ultra liberal town. Gregory Peck, although handsome and talented, was a big moonbat and liked to hang out there.

Posted by: Karin at October 28, 2009 6:21 AM

Today Atticus Finch would probably be accused of molesting Scout and especially Jem running around without any pants on. Boo Radley would be considered the "normal" one.

Posted by: Gregory Peckery at October 28, 2009 7:17 AM

Perhaps the town can compromise and the plaque can read "Killed by non-Christian, non-Jewish, non-Buddist, non-Agnostic, non-Athiest Terrorists"?

Posted by: Peter the Bubblehead at October 28, 2009 8:35 AM

To Anonymous who posted at October 27, 2009 7:06 PM

If you take the quote used in one of your photos in full, it should read, "...A date which will live in infamy, the United States was suddenly and deliberately attacked by Naval and Air Forces of the Empire of Japan."

Not to mention you show three memorials. Out of HOW MANY across the entire country that DO mention Japan by name?

Posted by: Peter the Bubblehead at October 28, 2009 8:42 AM

Oh please Peter, don't give me the "should read" excuse, just read what you see.

As for other memorials, I notice you don't link any.

Do you actually believe the Arizona memorial, to quote Van Helsing, demonstrates "the mealy-mouthed mendacity of political correctness"?

Posted by: Anonymous at October 28, 2009 10:03 AM

And how can I take seriously any comments coming from someone who won't even post a name for themselves, Mr 'Anonymous'?

If I happend to have my own photographs with me at the moment, I would galdly post them, but since my photo album is at home, you will just have to wait, now won't you?

Posted by: Peter the Bubblehead at October 28, 2009 10:17 AM

I go with my original compromise.

The plaque can read "Killed by non-Christian, non-Jewish, non-Buddist, non-Agnostic, non-Athiest, non-Wiccan, non-Pagan Terrorists"

Let's see you come up with something better, Mr 'Anonymous'.

Posted by: Anonymous at October 28, 2009 10:28 AM

Whoops. Sorry. Didn't mean to appropriate your name, Mr 'Anonymous'.

Posted by: Peter the Bubblehead at October 28, 2009 10:29 AM

Maybe the memorial should say "killed in a zionist false flag op because they needed a new 'Pearl Harbor' so they could start wars to 'secure the realm' for greater Israel".

Posted by: Patrick at October 28, 2009 12:24 PM

If you probe the brains of the Lefties deep enough, you will find they do think 09/11 was The West's fault generally and America's specifically, and that we deserved the attack. So a few thousand people are dead, so what? One of their gods, Lenin, once said that you can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs. Besides the good of the many, for them, far outweighs the good of individuals.

This is the Leftist mindset.

MASH message for Peter Gadiel:

Dear Mr. Gadiel,

You said: "Muslims have to acknowledge that it was their co-religionists who committed this act in their name." We couldn't agree with you more. Please know that there are Muslims who are disgusted with Kent officials' cowardice. Without acknowledging what happened on 9/11, there is no way forward. Germany acknowledged the Holocaust and other atrocities perpetrated by the Nazis in WWII and Germans became a better people for it. We would like to add our voices to your demand that "Murdered by Muslim terrorists" be added on your son's memorial plaque.

Respectfully,

Muslims Against Sharia
