Paying for Pelosi's Health Care Bill: Tax after Tax after Tax
Posted by The MaryHunter at October 30, 2009 9:42 AM
Courtesy of Americans for Tax Reform, Ed Morrissey has kindly outlined the taxes that are embedded in that monstrosity that Nanny Pelousy wants to ram down the collective throats of America in the form of ObamaCare:
Employer Mandate Excise Tax (Page 275): If an employer does not pay 72.5 percent of a single employee’s health premium (65 percent of a family employee), the employer must pay an excise tax equal to 8 percent of average wages. Small employers (measured by payroll size) have smaller payroll tax rates of 0 percent (<$500,000), 2 percent ($500,000-$585,000), 4 percent ($585,000-$670,000), and 6 percent ($670,000-$750,000).
Individual Mandate Surtax (Page 296): If an individual fails to obtain qualifying coverage, he must pay an income surtax equal to the lesser of 2.5 percent of modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) or the average premium. MAGI adds back in the foreign earned income exclusion and municipal bond interest.
Medicine Cabinet Tax (Page 324)
Cap on FSAs (Page 325)
Increased Additional Tax on Non-Qualified HSA Distributions (Page 326)
Denial of Tax Deduction for Employer Health Plans Coordinating with Medicare Part D (Page 327)
Surtax on Individuals and Small Businesses (Page 336)
Excise Tax on Medical Devices (Page 339)
Corporate 1099-MISC Information Reporting (Page 344)
Delay in Worldwide Allocation of Interest (Page 345)
Limitation on Tax Treaty Benefits for Certain Payments (Page 346)
Codification of the “Economic Substance Doctrine” (Page 349)
Application of “More Likely Than Not” Rule (Page 357)
The biggest lie of Dear Leader Obama and his Democrat minions is, as Morrissey says: "When statist policies get imposed, everyone pays. Everyone."

The criminal pelosi family will make billions on the evil plan for raping the poor and murdering millions.
hell this pig pelosi must love hitlers ideals the main bill look's just like the healtcare plan for the death camps.
"by the way", no more va burial right the obama boys said it was to much money, next will be the elimination of the VA Healtcare system and the selling of the VA cemetery which would make billions for some people.
The next move is the ELIMINATION of war memerial's from world war one to world war two and others memerials. The end game is to remove our history and make a new one under the control of monkeys like obama.

And even with these tax increases, we're still looking at $9 Trillion in National Debt piled up by Obama and the Obamacrat Congress.
Is there anyone besides Goatse and Andy stupid enough to believe they aren't planning a massive middle class tax increase? A 5 point increase on the top 2% of income earners isn't going to come close to lowering the deficits ahead.

No one is going to know if they're obeying the law or violating the law.

Cloward-Piven is designed to eliminate the middle class, so there may be no massive tax increase on the middle class (by means of technicality).
This isn't about health care. It is about creating a permanent, near-universal state of dependency which, as history has shown over and over again, will never be sustainable, and will eventually lead to Marxist revolution.

It is getting obvious now that healt care is not the goal at all, because the official goal keeps changing constantly.

"No one is going to know if they're obeying the law or violating the law. "
That is the case already. A liberal author just came out with a book "3 Felonies A Day" in it he suggest because our systems of law (Criminal Laws) has grown over the last 30 years most people are breaking laws that will send them to jail with out even knowing about the laws. But remember ignorance of the law is now excuse!

Yup, and as has been pointed out before, with that employer mandate and tax, every single employer in the US will drop their insurance benefits entirely and pay the 8% or less, since it will be a lower amount than what their insurance costs will be. (Insurance costs less employee deductions run higher than 8% of wages at every company I've been at). Then everyone will have no choice but to go to the govt run program. I believe they even have a clause forbidding you to buy new private insurance on your own after this kicks in as well. So, in effect, forcing people off their employer sponsored plans with private insurance onto govt run programs, then forcing your employer to pay for part of it as well. If this is not a criminal enterprise on par with mafia-style extortion, I don't know what is.

Never heard of it.
Posted by: Charlie Gibson at October 30, 2009 6:11 PM
It's not about health care folks, it's health control. They are going to control your lives with any type of legislation they can. Its not about care at all. They dont. They want your knees to become your spine.

This is nothing but a power grab and a series of new taxes on Americans. It is unconstitutional to force anyone into signing up for insurance. What do Americans have to do to rid our nation of power hungry politicians? Is the best way to fight radicals to hire radicals to take them out? I'm just not talking about at the voting booth! These people are nuts and too powerful. We'll all be enslaved. America's tolerance programs have brought us to the brink of being a banana republic! Oops, we already are one! And as bankrupt as Zimbawe

This shows you what we're up against. Idiots protesting insurance companies whose profit margins are barely 2% supporting a Socialist plan which will condemn us all to sub-par health care.

Pages 25-26 high risk pool shortfalls remedied by cutting coverage, raising premiums or implementing waiting lists.....
(2) INSUFFICIENT FUNDS.—If the Secretary estimates for any fiscal year that the aggregate amounts available for payment of expenses of the high-risk pool will be less than the amount of the expenses, the Secretary shall make such adjustments as are necessary to eliminate such deficit, including reducing benefits, increasing premiums, or establishing waiting lists.
The high risk pool is defined on page 16 where Section 101 begins.
I cannot believe this is happening. The idiot children are in charge.
I hope many people answer the Bauchman's call to descend on the Capitol steps Thursday and the national guard is called out to keep the people from congress' throat. No imagery would be more damaging to Obama than the national guard having to get between the People and the government while the government rapes our traditions for their own power grab and ego gratifications.
This is a coup in slow motion abetted by the press.
