Health Care Takeover Update -

Stalinized Medicine: You Will Get Health Insurance at DMV—Literally (It’s in the Bill)

The most revelatory passage in the so-called “plain English” version of the health care bill that the Senate Finance Committee approved on Tuesday (without ever drafting the actual legislative language) says that in the future Americans will be offered the convenience of getting their health insurance at the Department of Motor Vehicles.

This is no joke. If this bill becomes law, it will be the duty of the U.S. secretary of health and human services or the state governments overseeing federally mandated health-insurance exchanges to ensure that you can get your health insurance at the DMV.

You also will be able to get it at Social Security offices, hospitals, schools and “other offices” the government will name later.

Page 19 of the committee’s “plain English” text says: “The Secretary and/or states would do the following: ... Enable customers to enroll in health care plans in local hospitals, schools, Departments of Motor Vehicles, local Social Security offices, and other offices designated by the state.”

This is the bill’s most revelatory passage because it sublimely symbolizes the bill’s true aim: a government takeover of the health care system.

You do not get food at the DMV. You do not even get auto insurance at the DMV. But under what The Associated Press inaptly calls the Finance Committee’s “middle-of-the-road health care plan,” you will get health insurance at the DMV.

What will the DMV and health care have in common if this bill is enacted? Government will control both.

Something interesting there.. You can't get your license plate if you don't have insurance. Look for the same logic on the health thing. Driving is not a RIGHT, but you will be required to prove you have health insurance to get a tag for your car.

One is also able to register to vote at the DMV while applying for the healthcare exchange. See any problems there?

The logic isn't the same.

Mandatory auto insurance exists primarily to protect other drivers from your negligence. It is like requiring contractors to have insurance before starting a construction project that could damage a customer's home.

No states require you to have insurance to protect your car from things such as theft, mechanical breakdown, or various forms of damage. That is an exact parallel to health insurance - health insurance protects you, not others.

Driving is a privilege that requires acceptance of certain rules. Living is a fundamental right, so the auto/health comparison is no good in that respect. Is Big Government going to redefine living as a privilege?

Federal law mandates that DMVs allow for voter registration.

That idea, not surprisingly, was crafted by Richard Cloward and Frances Piven (sound familiar?. The lobbying for the "Motor Voter" act was dominated by ACORN.

The act has been a stunning "success." DMVs have become politicized, and serve as conduits for liberal bureaucrats and political machines to construct mindless voting blocs by promising certain interest groups money.

Can't find the links now, but how's this for irony?

Obama opens all nuke sites for Russian inspection. Promises to reduce US stockpile. Hilly gets nothing in return from Russia. Russia refuses to sanction Iran for nuke production, in fact offers to HELP them, and Venezuela. Oh, and they also help Cuba drill natural gas in the Gulf of Mexico!
VS.
Russia releases statement they will revise rules to allow nuke deployment against any potential attacker, even if they aren't nuke capable. I do have that link.

64 years keeping the ruskies in check with MAD, actually breaking their hold on tens of millions of people in Eastern Europe, who are now mostly free, and the surrender-in-chief, and his policy machine has taken less than a year to give the world away.
Nothing can create war more competently than having an incompetent BOOB in charge of America.

Nouveau Sex-Ed

At this stage of the teacher-has-sex-with-student game, it’s barely news anymore.

Back in the day, kids had to get parental permission slips for sex-ed classes and for those special classes offered to pre-teen girls to explain the facts of their anatomical/biological lives.

Nowadays, if not the norm, it’s all but accepted that some teachers, male and female, conduct individualized, very private, sexual education tutorials for select students.

Until they get caught.

The names of various educators who have taken their sex-ed mandates to whole new and un-mandated levels replete with teaching every conceivable sexual nuance are now inscribed in the annals of “educational sexual explorations.”

Think the notorious Queen of Pedophilia Mary Kay Letourneau and her 13 year old lover, Vili Fualauu, and the too-pretty-to-go-to-prison Princess Debra LaFave who preferred older consorts, as in 14.

Also, see “Teachers Gone Wild–Again!” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=1038 and “Teen Sex and their Teachers,” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=292 for all the reader ever wanted to know about America’s educators and their extracurricular help.

Now we can add cheerleading coach and freshman English instructor, Nicole Howard, age 25, to the distaff rogues’ gallery.

Allegedly, Nicole took her educational responsibilities very seriously and to heart, especially when they involved an unidentified, 16 year old high school Dayton H.S. quarterback. . .

AP reports that Iraqi deaths far lower than predicted... Meaning that Bush saved 750,000 Iraqi lives

You just can't parody these guys. Health insurance at the DMV? I remember waiting for hours at the DMV to get tabs! A better metaphor for the inefficiency of government bureaucracy cannot be found than the DMV...wait, what am I saying? That must be WHY it was the first place to come to mind when they were crafting this bill because they ARE trying to destroy this country.

Health insurance at the DMV?

Great. Now the visually impaired, the alcoholics, and those with seizures can get their health care AND a drivers license in one-stop-shopping! WIN-WIN! /sarc

I assume all health questionnaires will be available in different languages, just like the DMV written tests are?
