Oblivious to Statist Propaganda, Poles Continue to Cool

Even as warmist totalitarians continue to screech that we must be repressed in the name of melting glaciers, evidence accrues that not only is anthropogenic global warming a lie, the planet is getting cooler:
The National Snow and Ice Data Center released its summary of summer sea-ice conditions in the Arctic last week and reported a substantial expansion of "second-year ice" — ice thick enough to have persisted through two summers of seasonal melting.
According to the NSIDC, second-year ice this summer made up 32% of the total ice cover on the Arctic Ocean, compared with 21% in 2007 and 9% in 2008. Clearly, Arctic sea ice is not following the consensus touted by Gore and the warm-mongers.
What about the South Pole?
At the other end of the earth, we are told the Larsen B ice shelf on the western side of Antarctica is collapsing. That part is warming and has been for decades. But it comprises just 2% of the continent. The rest of the continent is cooling.
A report prepared by the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research for last April's meeting of the Antarctic Treaty nations in Washington notes that the South Pole has in fact shown "significant cooling in recent decades."
At some level even liberals are probably aware that the climate fluctuates naturally and always has. Warm weather is far better than cold, so it's unfortunate that we seem to be in for at least a few decades of falling temperatures that no amount of hot air from statist hoaxers can reverse.

"NSIDC Director and Senior Scientist Mark Serreze said, “It’s nice to see a little recovery over the past couple years, but there’s no reason to think that we’re headed back to conditions seen back in the 1970s. We still expect to see ice-free summers sometime in the next few decades.”

So NOAA reports three times more record highs than record lows in 2008. Satellite photos show the ice caps reduced by over 33% in the past decade. Its not left or right, its science - and it is ok to question it!

It's the whole REALITY thing, if the left agreed to face reality on this one they might have to use it elsewhere too. All the little robots would fall off the rail. Drive them out of the basements and the jobless numbers would double.

The new liberal talking point after global 'cooling', 'anthropogenic global warming', 'global warming' and 'climate change' is now:
...the cooling phase represents the "masking" of true anthropogenic global warming by a low ebb in soar radiation (which may last for decades).
So whattya know. Another untestable, unverifiable, unscientific hypothesis on which we can hang our "destroy the U.S. economy" global warming game plan.
(A lot of scientists are scrambling to save their sorry saggyass reputations, egos and grant renewals.)

Some people just won't quit. CO2 has been scientificly proven to have GONE UP in the past 10+ years, while tempatures had gone DOWN. Gore had to INVERT his charts to cover up the fact that this was the way it has happened all through history.
Didn't you have an ancestor on the Titanic who was proving "scientificly" why the ship couldn't possibly sink while water was washing around his ankles?

Van Helsing selectively quotes from a report to try to make his anti-global warming point.
I provided a link to the ENTIRE report and offered a contradictory selective quote that shows the report SUPPORTS global warming.
Truth too hard to handle?

UHI is tainting NOAA's data sets. If you look at data collected from rural sites only, you will see that temperatures are stable.

Back in July, NSIDC released a graph showing the different projections for the Arctic sea ice minimum that will occur sometime in September. You can look at the graph here:

All of the prophets got it wrong. They underestimated the ice, some by as much as 1 million sq km.

Look at the graph that shows Average Monthly Arctic Sea Ice Extent. It has been declining for thirty years.

Oops. Looks like I read the report incorrectly. The data actually does show that the ice is thickening and has been for decades.
It would probably be better if I read the information in context and took the time to understand the difference between facts and opinions. Probably also wouldn't kill me to draw empirical data from more than one source on such a hotly contested issue.
Oh, bother. Why do I keep showing up here every day just to get my face kicked in? I whine and bitch and moan and complain about how biased and unfair this conservative blog is, yet I return day after day to bellyache about it and sling insults at the regulars.
Guys, what the hell is wrong with me? Can anyone recommend a good therapist?

So, fluctuations in solar activity coincide with periods of warmer or cooler temperatures.
That can only mean one thing...
Exxon is paying the Sun to hide the evidence of manmade global warming!!!!

Are the scientitians who "expect to see ice-free summers sometime in the next few decades" the same scienticians who told us in 2005 that because of Global Warming, each hurricane season would be worse then that one preceding it?
The Caribbean has been pretty quiet these last three years. With two weeks to go, we haven't seen a single major hurricane make landfall in the USA this year.
