Obamunists Set Out to Ruin Halloween
Posted by Gregory of Yardale at October 30, 2009 5:51 PM
For normal people, Halloween is a chance to escape from politics. Oh, sure, in the context of a politically-oriented blog, we can poke fun at the Obamacrats with some seasonal jests, but we would never use Halloween as an occasion to shove an agenda in people's faces on a night that's supposed to be fun for kids and families.
Chairman Zero's patchouli-reeking brownshirts at Organizing for America are not normal people.
This Halloween, Organizing for America is asking every Alaskan who supports President Obama's Health Reform Plan - whether you live in Sitka, Wasilla, North Pole, or Barrow - to join with other Alaskans in a Healthy Halloween Reverse Canvass! Instead of going door-to-door, simply let the people come to you!
- Give trick-or-treaters a flier about President Obama's Health Reform Plan and a “Health Reform NOW” sticker.
- Give them a healthy snack too as a way to remind them about how important health reform is!
- Let's make sure that this Halloween the only scary things Alaskans encounter are witches, ghosts, and goblins…and not big insurance companies who promise treats and only give you tricks.
If anybody pulls that crap, let's hope some patriots introduce them to a real American Halloween custom for dealing with twits who don't hand out decent candy on Halloween.

By the way, The Onion has some costume suggestions that might have saved some of our trolls a lot of childhood grief.

Shouldn't Obamunists celebrating the Halloween tradition be taking candy from the children, to be redistributed to Robert Mugabe, err, I mean the children of Zimbabwe?
Posted by: Anonymous Countermoonbat at October 30, 2009 7:16 PM
I was thinking about handing out NRA applications to our visitors tomorrow night.
Also those deals from NewsMax.com through which one can get Sarah Palin's book for real cheap.

I hope they do ask and not one person comes and tells the obama worshippers to walk back to the DISTRICT of CRINIMALS
Posted by: SPURWING PLOVER at October 30, 2009 9:09 PM
I was born in, and spent a good third of my life in the Great Land. As near as I can tell, of the 630,000 folks who live there, there has to be AT LEAST 17 Obamunists.
If you give a young Alaskan Trick-or-treater anything other than candy or moose-jerky you're going to get every tree in the surrounding 5 acres TP'ed. (Unless, of course you live in Barrow where there aren't any trees - not sure what they do there.) Give a young Alaskan some Obamunist propaganda I hazard to guess what could be in store - but it could have something to do with spawned-out rotten salmon picked up from the stream banks; bacon grease; she-wolf-in-heat scent; flaming arrows; an outhouse; and a little tyke hiding in the woods whispering to his buddies "hey, y'all watch this."
I guess you'd have to be from there to be able to picture what happens next, but it isn't pretty.

Loved the Onion link Yardale. I see, judging by your remark, you once again take satire seriously, but hey, I wouldn't expect anything else from you. Trick or treat you big hunk.
Oh and Spurwing, CRINIMALS is one of your best, keep it up.

Hey, it gets better all the time. So now, not only are you "outing" people thanks to their IP addresses, you are giving them your own names.
Lame Yardale lame.

LOL - on the website RSVP box - enter any name ACORN would use on a fraudulent voter registration (e.g. Troy Aikman), and in the "how many will attend", put something like 47, or 112.
Let the little idiots prepare for 500. When 3 actually show up the trick's on them!

bacon grease on window sills and door jams works wonders! In Barrow a little water this time of the year works wonders on car doors or house doors, it's the gift that lasts until spring breakup.

Hey Batshitcrazyville! How ya-all a-doin down there? Long time no speak.
Here's some serious moonbat activity but I believe they are yours.
...“[M]ost of the candy sold during this season has been dedicated and prayed over by witches,” wrote CBN’s Kimberly Daniels. “I do not buy candy during the Halloween season. Curses are sent through the tricks and treats of the innocent whether they get it by going door to door or by purchasing it from the local grocery store. The demons cannot tell the difference.” ....
Ya just can't make this stuff up!

By the way... it's getting about time to start the war on Christmas isn't it? Just can't wait! Only 55 days left for Fox to gin up the rabble. Again.
Mean while... tomorrow, I'm gonna eat me a pile of artificially flavored, high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated cottonseed oil. Yum! ... then wonder why I feel like shit the next day and my body feels cheated and has developed several new lumps of cottage cheese. (Or maybe its the dose of bovine growth hormones from yesterday). Whatever!
Happy Hallo-day!
Posted by: Fez at October 31, 2009 1:48 AM
Wouldn't it just be too bad if some of the trick or treaters gave those moonbats unknowningly of course, a Limburger cheese muffler? Mmmmm, the gift that keeps on giving and makes the smell of a dead skunk seem like roses. :p

Fex and Special Ed get upset because one nutjob woman doesn't like Halloween. We're upset because a Neo-Marxist president is running up $9 Trillion in debt while giggling about mops. Who are the insane ones, here?
Posted by: V the K at October 31, 2009 6:48 AM
ot only are you "outing" people thanks to their IP addresses, you are giving them your own names.
Once again, conservatives do the work liberals are just too damn lazy to do for themselves.
Posted by: V the K at October 31, 2009 6:50 AM
Well V the K, let's examine that comment shall we? Some of us on the left were quite content to adopt names and stand by our comments.
A fairly virulent outpouring of name-calling was the response from some. I simply ignore that swill, and that apparently dismayed some on your side.
Then folks on the right started highjacking our names, making back and forth debate difficult to say the least. The name highjacking included posts to threads to which we hadn't even contributed. The object? Confusion and misinformation. I was called upon to defend things I hadn't even said.
So some of us moved to "anonymous" as an alternative. Then you, and others, chose to broadcast our geographic locations by looking up our IP addresses. I could care less.
Yardale chose to make use of that information to further denigrate "trolls" (in his world, that's anyone who disagrees with him).
In this thread, you can see the latest ploy. I posted the "Special Ed From Alberta" comment at 9:17 but I did not choose that name, I posted as anonymous. The name got chosen for me, presumably by Yardale, and inserted onto my comment as "my" name.
Obviously, we who choose to express our left-leaning opinions are perceived as a serious threat here.
I find it amusing that you, the very people on the right, who whine and moan about the supposed evil threats of left-wing fascism, have repeatedly demonstrated your own utter intolerance for free speech, by employing a variety of methods to try to stifle those of us who write from the other side.
I will watch with interest to see what you try next.
Of course, you could always simply engage in an actual back-and-forth debate of the facts, such as you understand them.

Not true V. This country is full of Christofascist nut jobs. So many they need megachurches to gatherith intoith.
Marxism? When the vast majority of those trillions(?) go to bail out the banks and other financial institutions whose CEOs and employees make millions and millions... that sure aint Marxism... that's a theiving Cleptocracy. Capitalism is where wealth and industry controls the government ... just like we have right now. You know, "welcome to USA, best democracy money can buy."
If you-all want to bitch and teabag about that, I'm with you. But get your isms straight. Marxism was about redistributing the wealth downward not upward.
And another thing. Hitler hated gays, modern art and though he was part of a master race and wanted to rule the world and was ready to shoot anything that got in his way ...much like you people.

You have AIDS, already right? Because that is one treat I don't want to give you unless you have it already.
I'll bring the AZT!
Posted by: Fez at October 31, 2009 8:54 AM
Ah, Fez, Fez, Fez. Still determined to reveal what a hateful, ignorant lunatic you are.
I'll knock your asinine comments out of the way as soon as possible, so I can get on to the actual article.
"Mean while... tomorrow, I'm gonna eat me a pile of artificially flavored, high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated cottonseed oil. Yum! ... then wonder why I feel like shit the next day and my body feels cheated and has developed several new lumps of cottage cheese. (Or maybe its the dose of bovine growth hormones from yesterday). Whatever!"
I take it this is supposed to be you giving a sarcastic lecture on the evils of eating candy.
Of course, overeating is a problem, but relatively easy to combat. Me, I LOVE going to a CVS or Walgreens the day after Halloween and stocking up on discount candy. However, rather than just gorging myself on it all in a day or two and experiencing the kinds of effects you desribe, my approach to it is more like a squirrel gathering nuts for winter: I hoard it, snack reasonably on it a little at a time, and thus make my stash last at least a few weeks.
"Not true V. This country is full of Christofascist nut jobs."
Actually, what V said IS true! If you learned to keep your anti- Christian bigotry in check for a little bit, you'd know that the vast majority of American Christians, while taking varying stances on whether or not it's right to celebrate Halloween, do NOT believe there are demons in the candy, like that woman believes.
"If you-all want to bitch and teabag about that, I'm with you."
Of course, demonstrating what a mature, intelligent person you are, you rely on that brilliant "Teabag" insult. Way to win an argument.
"And another thing. Hitler hated gays, modern art and though he was part of a master race and wanted to rule the world and was ready to shoot anything that got in his way ...much like you people."
Ugh. Where to start on this brainless tirade.
1. We don't hate gays, wemay be opposed to homosexual practice, some of us, but not gay people. We also don't like gay agendas being crammed down our throats.
2. We enjoy art in which actual talent is required, rather than exhibits of crucifixes in jars of urine.
3. Um, we do NOT believe we are a part of a master race, nor that everyone not agreeign with us should be killed. However, numerous liberals like Bill Ayers DO believe that.
4. You people? What do you mean, "You people?" LOL!
5. Hitler also loved abortion and paganism, and deeply hated Christianity... Much like you.
"Obviously, we who choose to express our left-leaning opinions are perceived as a serious threat here.
I find it amusing that you, the very people on the right, who whine and moan about the supposed evil threats of left-wing fascism, have repeatedly demonstrated your own utter intolerance for free speech, by employing a variety of methods to try to stifle those of us who write from the other side."
No, Lao, we don't have a problem with dissenting opinion. We do, however, have a problem with those who voice that opinion in as obnoxious and hateful a way as possible, more concerned with mudslinging than discussing issues.
Okay, now that that's out of the way, on to the article.
It reminds me a bit of a DU thread I recall once which involved "Green" Halloween costume ideas. Most seemed complicated, and completely ridiculous and idiotic, the kinds of outfits which would cause young trick or treaters to get beaten up and have their candy taken from them (i.e. A low- energy light bulb, Gaia/ Mother Earth, Al Gore, etc.).
"•Give them a healthy snack too as a way to remind them about how important health reform is!"
Homeowners who do that to kids on Halloween might as well put up a big sign in their front yards saying, "Please egg and T.P. my house," because that's what they're inviting.
Posted by: Adam at October 31, 2009 9:07 AM
Well Adam, take a look at the name highjacking troll from your side who posted at 8:53 and 8:54.
I'd feel better about your "we have a problem with..." if you had the courage to call out people on your own side.
I may mock but I never name-call or curse, I don't have to.
Posted by: Lao at October 31, 2009 9:27 AM
Adam since you seem bent on making the tired argument of the left and the right, that comparing your opponents to Hitler clever. Let's take a look at some Hitler quotes:
"Secular schools can never be tolerated because such schools have no religious instruction, and a general moral instruction without religious foundation is built on air; consequently all character training and religion must be derived from faith . . ." May 1933 at the signing of the Nazi Vatican Concorde
"We were convinced that the people need and require this faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations: we have stamped it out." October 1933 during a speech in Berlin.
"I am convinced that I am acting as the agent of our Creator. By fighting off the Jews. I am doing the Lord's work." from Mein Kampf
"My feeling as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded only by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter." April 12 1922 in a speech named "My New World Order"
So, Adam, and V, you liberals who do post here, get namejacked get "outed", we watch you guys whine when someone posts as anonymous...why shouldn't we? You guys always praise Helsing, and he should be, he created a a blog that got traction and is rated well. However, he trusted some folks that think debating the issues is a South Park episode.
Posted by: ghost of wellstone at October 31, 2009 9:36 AM
ghost, I was doing that to refute Fez's point (Oh, and btw Fez, another tidbit: Hitler was a vegetarian, and big on organic health foods, just like many liberals today).
However, you want some quotes from Hitler to prove my point? Here you go:
"(It is) Not opportune to hurl ourselves now into a struggle with the churches. The best thing to do is let Christianity die a natural death."
"A slow death has something comforting about it. The dogma of Christianity gets worn away before the advances of science. Religion will have to make more and more concessions. Gradually the myths crumble. All that's left is to prove that in nature there is no frontier between the organic and the inorganic."
"The parsons will be made to dig their own graves. They will betray their God to us. THey will betray anything for the sake of their miserable little jobs and incomes."
"Christianity will disappear from Germany just as it has done in Russia... The German race has existed without Christianity for thousands of years, and will continue after Christianity has disappeared. We must get useed to the teachings of blood and race."
Posted by: Adam at October 31, 2009 9:48 AM
Yawn, scrolled through the trolls. I have some pumpkins to carve yet and the scooping is a bitch. Anyway, someone at DU was strongly suggesting handing out one unsharpened pencil per child as a "treat." LOL! Eggs this week are $1.89/dozen. Chump change.
Posted by: Karin at October 31, 2009 9:50 AM
Karin, I usually scroll through, but watching Lao throw a hissy-fit is pretty entertaining. People who cower behind Anonymous comments to attack others deserve what they get, so say I. (And the way Lao whines as if no one could tell the difference between a joke post using his nick and his real posts is pretty funny all on its own.)
We on the right tend to have a better sense of humor about this kind of stuff. Some of the insults fez directed at me ... like "second-rate pronographer" and that "your faith and good works can't hide what a sick (puppy) you really are" have become running jokes at my own blog.
Posted by: V the K at October 31, 2009 10:00 AM
Adam, again missing the point. Hitler was also a good artist, does that make Van Gogh a bad guy? It is a weak argument to compare the left or the right to Nazis/Hitler. It undermines the efforts our own country had in the war and the lives lost and the survivors. Bundy was was pretty bad guy, and a republican, does that mean you guys here a killers? I doubt it.
Posted by: ghost of wellstone at October 31, 2009 10:02 AM
V the K, you don't seem to be able to read with much understanding. Not surprised, since you are someone who has employed the tactics I mentioned and now tries to justify it. Very lame.
You can see for yourself what happened when I abandoned "anonymous". No sooner do I mention name highjacking than a troll on your side highjacks two names. Ludicrous to say the least, but it did prove my point.

I know, that's why I rarely if ever use it, Fez was the one who suddenly pulled it out for no reason.
Posted by: Adam at October 31, 2009 10:32 AM
Good rebuttal, Adam. Hitler said and promised a lot of things when he was consolidating his power. Some of his statements were outright lies as was revealed by his later actions and some of them were statements that meant something very different to him than they did to a normal person of his time. For example, most people would have interpreted his "religious" statements as referring to Christianity, when, in fact, they referred to his neo-pagan religion, Nazism. By talking about his "God" he was able to deceive some Christians into thinking he was one of them, when nothing could have been further from the truth.

Kind of like when Obama talks about the "Free Market" as though it's something he actually supports.
Posted by: V the K at October 31, 2009 10:37 AM
Right, V the K. When Obama talks about the free market, what I think he means is that everything is provided by the government "for free".
Posted by: Judith M. at October 31, 2009 10:41 AM
Lefties always get PO'd when people say Hitler was left-wing, but he was. His economic policies prove it. So why does the left get so bent out of shape when the obvious is pointed out? I certainly don't care that Ted Bundy was a Republican, there are nuts on both sides of the aisle.
My guess as to why the left goes nuts when you mention Hitler was a socialist is that they want to maintain the myth that Hitler was a right-wing leader. When the left finally admits that Hitler was left-wing in his economic policies, I'll quit pointing it out. It's a matter of historical accuracy to me, and having been mistaught at the university level, I'd like to see the record corrected once and for all.
Posted by: Judith M. at October 31, 2009 12:06 PM
Judith, the thing is, apart from the whole genocide thing, the left agrees with everything else Hitler did.
Posted by: V the K at October 31, 2009 12:58 PM
Just to be sure I understand, when Hitler arrested the liberal social democrats and the leftist communists was that because he was even further left?
Even though his party was called the "national socialists" how come Hitler's economic policies favored the capitalism of industrialists vs the "workers"? How come he abolished trade unions?
Posted by: Anonymous at October 31, 2009 2:06 PM
"Adam, again missing the point. Hitler was also a good artist,...
"Posted by: ghost of wellstone at October 31, 2009 10:02 AM"
No he wasn't. It's recorded that Hitler had submited some paintings for the tourist trade in Austria, but they were rejected. Critics and art appraisers who examined his works have concluded that AH was just an "average" painter.
Besides, your argument is idiotic. Hitler was a human being. Human beings have tortured and killed millions of people for various reasons. Does that mean that Hitler would order the torture and deaths of millions of people?
Posted by: KHarn at October 31, 2009 2:13 PM

"Posted by: Anonymous at October 31, 2009 2:06 PM"
OK, pay attention.
"Just to be sure I understand, when Hitler arrested the liberal social democrats and the leftist communists was that because he was even further left?"
No, because they were RIVALS for power. After the Great War, the communists tried to sieze power in Germany by force. The Germans (Including future nazis) defeated them. Communism was an early (and real) threat that the nazis used to gain support.
"Even though his party was called the "national socialists" how come Hitler's economic policies favored the capitalism of industrialists vs the "workers"? How come he abolished trade unions?"
Because the nazi party NATIONALISED the German industrial complex. The German government OWNED the industries.
This is easily found in histry books and on line. Do a little research.
