Obamacrats Proposing to Gut Patriot Act

Dick Morris goes through some of the idiotic "amendments" the Obamacrats are considering as they try to come up with a version of the Patriot Act only the ACLU would love.
Ending roaming wiretaps. Under the proposed amendments, FBI agents would have to seek a new wiretap every time a terrorist changed cell phones. A terrorist can do so every five minutes if he wants to, and an agent would have to go to a judge and ask permission for a new wiretap every time the terrorist did so.
Restricting searches of business records. The Obamacrats want to limit this authority so that the FBI has to prove a suspect is working with a terrorist group before they can search business records. But the whole purpose of searching the records is to get such proof.
Ending “Lone Wolf Authority.” This provision allows investigators to launch a probe even if they cannot prove, before they start, that the target is connected to a terrorist group. Obamacrats want to end this provision except in cases where the FBI can prove a suspect is attached to a terrorist group. Again, how can you prove a target is part of a terrorist group without investigating him first?
The Humanity United Globally (HUG) Amendment and American Apology Act. This amendment, proposed by Sen. Al Franken, intends to use stimulus funding to provide flight training to people from countries oppressed by US Occupation, including Pakistan, the Palestinian Zones, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and Somalia; ease visa requirements for travelers from those countries; and exempt Muslims from all airport security regulations.
OK, I may have made that last one up, but, cheese Louise, they might just as well.

I've always had the feeling that this is always about them (the lefties). Consider the Goerlick dictat that cost us 3,000+ Amerian lives in New York. It only made sense if you were a lefty and in fear that The Man was watching you.
Just because a lot of the left preach sedition and treason... well, why would they fear being overheard? Heck, you can read it on page one of teh Treason Times.

Being from the ultra liberal great white (AGW melting)north (snow in the forecast this weekend!)I find nothing implausible about the last statement. As a matter of fact I am upset with you for planting the idea in the small, defunct organ Franken calls a brain. He ascended to the high honor of Senator through surreptitious means and healthy dose of ACORN support and now we are paying for it. I would give my wealth redistribution supporting paycheck to watch Michele Bachman bitch slap that turd. In any case, now that I have shown my sarcasm and baser attributes.....that is all.

The patriot act has always been a problem for liberals. Worried about their library books being monitored by the CIA? Liberals don't read (as thoroughly documented by Ann Coulter).
So that "reason" is a farce.
Certainly its hard to believe that dismembering the patriot act serves the pure and delicate conscience of liberals. By removing its most effective provisions, one wonders: "who's served best by this?"
It serves terrorists....and the liberals know it.
If liberals had any honesty at all*, to gut and finally finish off the patriot act, they would pass a bill called:
"The Partisan NonPatriot-UnAmerican Act of 2009".
*Whoa. Writing "liberals" and "honesty" in the same sentence evoked images of Mark Stein's "feces" and "ice-cream".... respectively.

...Eighty students from the University – mostly from Muslim, black and minority ethnic backgrounds – have flown a glider or trainer aircraft as part of the scheme.
The project – titled Festival of Flight – is opening doors and opportunities for students who have felt excluded from the world of flight due to their race and also aims to ground stereotype views of young people from black and ethnic backgrounds. GY, read the constitution, then think about what you just wrote, in particular, the 4th and 5th amendments.
The patriot act was not designed for terrorists, it was designed for American citizens, right wing citizens.
